Donald Trump Jr Responds To GQ's 'Astonishingly Inappropriate' Question About Melania

A representative of Donald Trump, Jr., former White House official Andy Surabian, issued a response to GQ's "astonishingly inappropriate" line of questions.

"We are disappointed by the astonishingly inappropriate questions posed to Don, Jr., for this piece," Surabian told Breitbart. "We’re hopeful that in the future GQ will have the common decency to refrain from asking people about bizarre and disgusting conspiracy theories that have no basis in reality."

Jeff Sessions: Peter Strzok No Longer Has Security Clearance

Disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok no longer possesses his security clearance, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Thursday.

“Mr. Strzok — as I understand — has lost his security clearance,” the country’s top law enforcement officer told radio host Howie Carr.

The admission follows multiple reports stating the former FBI Deputy Head of Counterintelligence was escorted from the bureau’s headquarters on Friday as part of an internal disciplinary measure.

Leaked Internal Memo Reveals the ACLU Is Wavering on Free Speech

The American Civil Liberties Union will weigh its interest in protecting the First Amendment against its other commitments to social justice, racial equality, and women's rights, given the possibility that offensive speech might undermine ACLU goals.

"Our defense of speech may have a greater or lesser harmful impact on the equality and justice work to which we are also committed," wrote ACLU staffers in a confidential memo obtained by former board member Wendy Kaminer.

It's hard to see this as anything other than a cowardly retreat from a full-throated defense of the First Amendment.

Exclusive — ‘Oedipal Impulses’: GQ Magazine Asks Donald Trump Jr. if He Wants to Have Sex with His Mother

GQ magazine asked Donald Trump Jr., the son of the leader of the free world, if he has ever wanted to have sex with his mother, according to emails obtained by Breitbart News.

The reporter writing the GQ story, Julia Ioffe, was fired a little over a year ago from Politico for making similarly prurient accusations against the first family, suggesting that President Trump was having sex with his daughter Ivanka Trump. After being fired from Politico, Ioffe joined The Atlantic‘s staff and she also writes for other publications–including this piece for GQ magazine.

Circle closed: Merkel, Macron want EU border states to deal with refugees after quota system failure

With no end in sight to the EU refugee crisis, Berlin and Paris look to put the burden of dealing with asylum seekers on the countries where they first register. The seeming return to ‘old rules’ is poised to split Europe further.
During their meeting ahead of the EU summit, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to “jointly and resolutely tackle” what they euphemistically called “secondary movements inside the EU.” An elusive wording used in the so-called Meseberg Declaration adopted by the two leaders effectively means one thing: Macron and Merkel want all the newly arrived asylum seekers and migrants to stay in the EU countries where they were first registered while their cases are being processed. This would leave the EU southern member states to deal with the new arrivals alone.

NATO Has No Chance To Take Crimea, Warns Russian Defense Minister

The Russian troops in the Crimea will give “no chance” to opponents who dare to attack the peninsula, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Wednesday.

“A unique interdisciplinary group has been created and strengthened on the peninsula. Its modern state-of-the-art weapons systems do not give a chance to a potential adversary who dares to invade what is intrinsically Russian territory,” he said.

According to him, for Russia this peninsula “always played a role of special importance”. The minister also stressed that, over two and a half centuries, events in the Crimea have been vital to the country’s fate.
“The glorious victories of the Black Sea Fleet have made international history and became our pride,” he added.

Activist: Iran already exonerated of role in 9-11 attacks, Docs display Israel’s complicity

“There are documents to prove Israel’s role and we should allow the Americans themselves to speak about it. Even the official commission which has investigated the 9-11 incident has clearly underlined that Iran has played no role. How a judge in New York, who has certainly received money from Saudi Arabia and has issued such a ruling for the second time, sentences Iran, and the country does not react?” Talebzadeh said.

He noted that investigations have proved that C4 explosive material was used during the 9-11 incident, adding, “The Americans fear reopening of the 9-11 case as all its details are secret and it is an opportunity for Iran on which it can maneuver.”

Trump signs order to forbid splitting up illegal immigrant families after pressure from Melania and tells Pentagon to house them – but leaves it to Jeff Sessions to persuade a judge the government can hold kids longer than 20 days

The president said Wednesday morning that he'd be signing an executive order addressing family sepration
Said it would assist with 'keeping families together' while acknowledging that 'we have to keep our borders strong'
Indicated to reporters later as he held of the finished product that he'd been lobbied to take action by Melania and Ivanka
Says he acted because, 'I didn't like the sight or the feeling of families being separated'
Trump did not end the 'zero tolerance' provision of his policy that requires the prosecution of all unlawful immigrants as criminals
His order merely authorizes DHS to hold families together while prosecution is pending.

The only thing Trump obstructed was a partisan railroading.

The other night MSNBC ran a fawning documentary about James Comey. It was full of howlers about the unfathomable depths of his “integrity.” None of the clips age well, but one in particular captured the utter lunacy of Comey serving as Mueller’s presumed chief witness — a clip in which Comey accuses Trump of “lies, plain and simple” for describing the FBI as “poorly led” and in “disarray.” Here is a former FBI director categorizing Trump’s opinion, and a manifestly correct one at that, as “lies.”

That’s the fatuous, un-rigorous level on which Mueller’s probe is proceeding. His forthcoming report will consist largely of his close friend’s hyperventilating grievances against Trump, as if the wounded ego of one of the worst FBI directors in American history, an FBI director the Justice Department’s Inspector General has found to be unprofessional and reckless, counts as a “constitutional crisis.”

'About 60 Organizations' Are Considering a Lawsuit Against the SPLC Following $3M Nawaz Settlement

No fewer than 60 organizations branded "hate groups" or otherwise attacked by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) are considering legal action against the left-wing smear factory, a Christian legal nonprofit leader confirmed to PJ Media on Tuesday. He suggested that the $3 million settlement and apology the SPLC gave to Maajid Nawaz and his Quilliam Foundation on Monday would encourage further legal action.

"We haven't filed anything against the SPLC, but I think a number of organizations have been considering filing lawsuits against the SPLC, because they have been doing to a lot of organizations exactly what they did to Maajid Nawaz," Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, told PJ Media on Tuesday.

Southern Poverty Law Center Has More Than $90 Million In Offshore Funds

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a left-wing nonprofit known for its "hate group" designations, now has $92 million in offshore investment funds, according to financial statements.

The SPLC, which has come under fire from across the political spectrum for some of its "extremist" labeling of groups, has been thriving since President Donald Trump entered the White House.

The controversial organization reported $477 million in total assets and $132 million in contributions on its most recent tax forms, which cover Nov. 1, 2016 to Oct. 31, 2017. That represents an increase of $140 million in its total assets from the previous year. Millions flowed to the group following the deadly Charlottesville, Va. attacks from employees at companies including JP Morgan Chase and Apple as well as from actors such as George Clooney.

As part of its business dealings, the SPLC holds tens of millions in offshore entities.

THE FORGOTTEN STEPCHILD CASE – NETANYAHU ‘SUBMARINES AFFAIR’ RESURFACES

It turns out – after almost a year and a half of investigating – that Netanyahu was finally questioned by police – not in Case 4000, the “Bezeq Affair,” but in Case 3000, the “Submarines Affair.”

Of the four cases threatening Netanyahu’s premiership, Case 3000 has become the forgotten stepchild.

The general public can be excused for not remembering this case, as it has faded from the headlines since late January.

In the Submarines Affair, Miki Ganor, Thyssen Krupp’s sales representative in Israel, as well as other top Israeli defense officials and top aides to Netanyahu allegedly perpetrated fraud and skimmed off the top in a deal for Israel to buy nuclear submarines from the German company.

Accused in the massive fraud are Netanyahu’s lawyer and confidante, David Shimron; his top personal foreign envoy Yitzhak Molcho; his former chief-of-staff David Sharan; his deputy national security adviser Avriel Bar-Yosef; and former navy chief Eliezer Marom.

The National Interest: American aircraft carriers have no chance against the Russians in the Baltic

RENOMATED and influential US newspaper The National Interest published a warning-warning that US aircraft carriers will be helpless in the Baltic Sea ahead of Russia's airborne and anti-aircraft defense in the event of war.

The text explicitly emphasizes:

" Nimitz and Ford aircraft carriers are too big and vulnerable to be able to function successfully in a limited area of the Baltic Sea. In addition, Russian anti-ship missile systems - both land and sea - are a real threat to our aircraft carriers. "

The National Interest further indicates that the Russian anti-ship missile "Oniks" is capable of hitting "every boat in the Baltic Sea from Kaliningrad to the Swedish coast".

The export version of the rocket P-800 "Oniks" - also known as "Jahont" - has a range of 300 kilometers.

However, those that are only for the Russian army can have several times the range.

Massive Battle For Southwest Syria Could Trigger US-Israeli Intervention

The long awaited battle for Daraa has begun despite repeated warnings issued to the Syrian government from the US not to extend its military campaign to the country's south, where the conflict first began with fierce anti-Assad protests in 2011 and then quickly spiraled into violence.

Fighting began Tuesday night as the army's elite Tiger forces assaulted an air base in northeast Daraa which had been under jihadist control — namely the US-backed FSA "Southern Front" group and allied Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham (formerly Nusrah, al-Qaeda). After liberating the base government forces are now pounding opposition controlled towns with artillery fire which have for years been a hotbed of the al-Qaeda and ISIS terror insurgency.

Sharyl Attkisson: The Left Invented Fake News

According to Attkisson, the research that she carried out for her book to source the provenance of the term fake news led her to a non–profit organisation funded by Google whose parent company; Alphabet, was at the time chaired by Eric Schmidt. Schmidt was one of Hillary Clinton’s top campaign strategists and donors during Clinton’s 2016 presidential run.

“A smear artist told me that nearly every image that crosses your path on a daily basis whether it’s on the news, on a billboard or on a late night comedy show. All of it was put there for a reason, often by someone who paid a lot of money for it to be there.”

Attkisson is scathing of PR and law firms for “forwarding one narrative or one idea” which are rooted in political causes and often undisclosed.

She told Newsvoice that “the smear industry” is a multi-billion industry, that looks to target personalities or those with dissenting voices that the establishment wishes to shut down.

US’ Bombing Spree in Afghanistan Reaches Record Levels

The United States’ military’s air assault campaign in Afghanistan is reaching heights not seen since at least 2009 - as far back as available data goes - according to a new report from Air Force Central Command.

As of May 2018, the US has already dropped 2,339 weapons from the Afghan skies since the start of the year. May saw the deployment of some 591 munitions in Operation Freedom Sentinel, more than any month since October 2017.

US Aims to Drive Foreign Investments Out of China Through Trade War - Analysts

The United States is likely trying to force foreign companies to move their production away from China, by introducing excessive tariffs on Chinese-made products amid the escalation of trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies, experts told Sputnik.

After slapping 25 percent tariffs on Chinese products valued at $50 billion last week, US President Donald Trump said he has instructed the United States Trade Representative to identify $200 billion worth of Chinese goods for additional tariffs at a rate of 10 percent, according to a statement released by the White House on Monday.

China responded with 25 percent tariffs on major US exports to the country, including agricultural products, automobiles and energy products with a matching value of $50 billion. Beijing vowed to take "quantitative and qualitative" measures against further "blackmail and irrational actions" from the United States, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Tuesday

Harvard Med School Takes All the White Guys Off the Wall

Harvard Medical School is deeply ashamed of its own dark past: The prestigious university has had 31 former medical school deans…and all of them have been men. Worse yet, 30 of them were WHITE.

Can you imagine celebrating such a thing in this day and age with a series of portraits lining the halls? What does that say about Harvard’s commitment to diversity? To social justice? To its undying wish to be front and center in the Age of Political Correctness? They might as well fly a Confederate Flag from the top of the Bornstein Family Amphitheater!

So yeah, the hospital’s president, Dr. Betsy Nabel, said that the decision to take the portraits down was not made overnight. Indeed, she has worried for years that the sight of all of those white men (pause for head-shaking and hand-wringing) would “upset women and minorities who are training to become doctors,” as Campus Reform puts it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

“As representatives of the American people, Congress deserves to know exactly who contributed to the abuse of power at the Department of Justice and FBI,” the congressmen said in the letter. “These individuals need to be held accountable and only transparency will ensure that action.”

I Remember When America Was A Free Country - Paul Craig Roberts

I remember when America was a free country. You could get on an airliner without an ID. Driving licenses didn’t even have photos. If a friend was coming through your city on a flight and had a few hours layover, you could meet them inside the airport for lunch or dinner. You could meet friends, children, and relatives at the gate or see them off at the gate. Parents could actually put children on the plane and grandparents could take them off.

Your flight ticket was good at any airline. If something happened to your flight or you missed it, you could use the ticket on another airline going to the same place. On international flights you were permitted two free stopovers prior to your destination. If you were going to Athens, Greece, for example, you could first visit Paris and then Rome. It worked both ways, over and back. So one air ticket, six cities.

"Europe isn't Christian": Jews celebrate the Muslim conquest of London

Throughout the ages, we have seen Jews collaborate with Muslims and Asiatics against Christians and Europeans and celebrate their victories over us. It was a pattern of behaviour evident in the Persian assault on Christian Byzantium in the early decades 7th century, in a series of epic wars that paved the way for the emergence and triumph of Mohammedanism, most likely with exiled Jews played a shaping role in the creation of this new form of banditry dressed up as religion (link and link). The same pattern of behaviour played out in 8th century Spain during the Muslim invasion (link), with catastrophic consequences, lasting centuries, for the Spanish people, and, potentially, for all European people had the Muslim advance not been stopped at Poitiers by Charles Martel.

Here again we the pattern recurring. The Muslim conquest of a great European capital is greeted in the same way by the same people.

Did Israel assassinate JFK?

Former Congressman Paul Findley who has authored several books exposing the Zionist and Israeli influence over American society, wrote in the March 1992 issue of the Washington Review on Middle East Affairs: “It is interesting – but not surprising – that in all the words written and uttered about the Kennedy assassination, Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad has never been mentioned.” Journalist Andrew Cockburn has stated: “There has been since almost the earliest days of the Israeli state and the earliest days of the CIA a secret bond, basically by which Israeli intelligence did jobs for the CIA and the rest of the American intelligence. You can’t understand what’s been going on with American covert operations and the Israeli covert operations unless you understand this.”

Google, Facebook domination has RUINED the internet for everyone, warns EPIC report

The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) warned in a statement to Congress that today’s internet is simply not sustainable thanks to the unsavory practices of internet bigwigs Facebook and Google. These two tech firms have so much power over the flow of information, they say, that internet users’ privacy is essentially “under assault.”

After all, their entire business model depends on them obtaining vast amounts of data about people to feed their algorithms. Their behavioral advertising targets consumers directly, using deep profiles of them and algorithms that look at race, religion, age, nationality, and other aspects of a person. They say that while ads should give people information about products, Facebook and Google are now giving advertisers information about consumers; these days, the consumers are the product.

This may not be about condos on North Korean beaches after all. Arguably, the heart of the matter in the Trump administration’s embrace of Kim Jong-un has everything to do with one of the largest deposits of rare earth elements (REEs) in the world, located only 150 km northwest of Pyongyang and potentially worth billions of US dollars.

All the implements of 21st century technology-driven everyday life rely on the chemical and physical properties of 17 precious elements on the periodic chart also known as REEs.

Currently, China is believed to control over 95% of global production of rare earth metals, with an estimated 55 million tons in deposits. North Korea for its part holds at least 20 million tons.

Bavaria rejects Angela Merkel's plan of paying out more money for eurozone

Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Soeder says he does not want German taxpayers to foot the bill for troubled European economies. He suggests the EU should solve the debt crisis first instead.

The move takes aim at Chancellor Angela Merkel’s agreement with France this week, as the German leader seeks to create a budget for the eurozone to strengthen the economic convergence of the bloc.

“One thing is clear: We need stability in Europe not by always paying out more money but rather through reforms in the respective countries,” Soeder said Thursday. Soeder is a senior figure among Merkel’s conservative Bavarian allies.

“We don’t want a community of debt,” he added. “It can’t be that European finance instruments are developed for example to further save Italian banks. That should be dealt with in Italy. These are things that must be talked about.”

Merkel: We Need Measures Against Iran's 'Aggressive Tendencies' in Middle East

German Chancellor Angela Merkel during her official visit to Jordan has supported the US stance on Iran, speaking about the country's alleged "aggressive tendencies."

German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated Thursday, after her talks with Jordanian King Abdullah, that Iran's "aggressive tendencies" should be countered.

At the moment, Merkel is paying an official visit to Jordan, one of Germany's most important trading partners, along with Italy, accompanied by a delegation of German parliamentarians and businesspeople.

Peter Fonda’s Disturbing and Unforgiving History of Defending Child Rape: It’s Not Like The Rapist of 13-yr-old “Killed Anyone”

We travel back to 2009 when Fonda snapped after Roman Polanski was arrested in Switzerland on a 1978 US warrant for raping a 13-year-old girl.

Yes. 13.

Polanski, a Hollywood hero, plead guilty and jumped bail, fleeing to Paris, France.

But it was Fonda, who has a daughter of his own, who has often defended Polanski’s sex with a child, once calling his arrest an outrage in a rant and said it’s not like Polanski killed the girl.

What? This is your brain on Peter Fonda, kids.

From 2009:

Peter Fonda has joined the growing list of Hollywood rape apologists, telling a Zurich radio station, “we should have been celebrating the arrest of Osama bin Laden and not the arrest of Polanski.”

Wait a minute, they caught bin Laden?!?

Nope, Fonda’s just being totally nonsensical. Speaking of which, he might just win the award for most galling justification of child rape, not to mention fleeing the country before sentencing, I’ve yet seen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Normally I do not do entertainment news here at What Really Happened, but Peter Fonda has really pissed me off!

Michael Avenatti, Lawyer for Porn Star Stormy Daniels, Arrives at Border to Represent Illegal Aliens

Michael Avenatti, attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, has arrived at the southern border to represent 50 mothers who were separated from their children after being arrested for crossing into the United States illegally.

According to mysanantonio.com, Avenatti appeared at a relief center in McAllen, Texas, on Tuesday and called President Donald Trump’s border policy a “shit show,” adding that it was “by far the worst day of my legal career.”

Avenatti had indicated Sunday that he would be traveling to the border and made a pitch on Twitter for new clients:

Donald Trump Jr. Torches Peter Fonda Over Vile Attack on 12-Year-Old Barron

Donald Trump Jr. hit back at actor Peter Fonda late Wednesday morning after the Oscar-nominee publicly called for a mob to kidnap his 12-year-old brother, Barron Trump, and throw him in a cage with pedophiles.

“You’re clearly a sick individual and everyone is an internet badass but rather than attack an 11 year old like a bully and a coward why don’t you pick on someone a bit bigger.,” Don Jr. closed with “LMK,” which means “let me know.”

Spain: Students Kicked Out of €750/Month Dorms to Make Way for Boat Migrants

Spanish students have been “left out on the street” after being given just 24 hours to vacate their dormitories in order to make way for ‘Aquarius’ migrants.
Authorities told residents of the Florida de Alicante university accommodation, which reportedly costs students 750 euros rent per month, that the property had been chosen by Valencia’s regional government to house around 100 so-called unaccompanied minors who the NGO boat delivered in Spain at the weekend.

The country’s new Socialist regime went out of its way to invite the Aquarius to dock in Valencia after Italy’s recently elected populist coalition turned away the boat carrying more than 600 migrants, who largely hail from West African nations and Bangladesh.

The short eviction notice was issued at a time when a large proportion of residents living in the property’s en suite dormitories face an “intensive” period of study, according to local media.

Bannon, Salvini, And A Powerful Catholic Cardinal Are Gunning For Pope Francis

Francis is a harsh critic of secure borders, and an advocate of unchecked migration - calling President Trump "un-Christian" for wanting to build his wall (which would be around 30-feet, the same height as the wall surrounding the Vatican).

It is no secret that Francis, whose first ever apostolic voyage was to the Italian island of Lampedusa to give support to the hundreds of thousands of migrants who have crashed onto the shores there, supports an open-border policy. He has celebrated mass on the Mexican border with the United States, and he has warned world leaders to prioritize the acceptance of migrants over national security concerns and to avoid “discrimination, racism, extreme nationalism and xenophobia.” -Daily Beast

Burke, Bannon and Salvini have railed against these policies, with Bannon calling the Catholic Church "one of the worst instigators of this open borders policy," adding that "The Pope - more than anybody else - has driven the migrant crisis in Europe."

James Mattis Is a War Criminal: I Experienced His Attack on Fallujah Firsthand

While reporting from inside Fallujah during that siege, I personally witnessed women, children, elderly people and ambulances being targeted by US snipers under Mattis' command. Needless to say, all of these are war crimes.

During the November siege of Fallujah later that same year, which I also covered first-hand, more than 5,000 Iraqi civilians were killed. Most were buried in mass graves in the aftermath of the siege.

Mosques were deliberately targeted by the US military, hospitals bombed, medical workers detained, ambulances shot at, cease-fires violated, media repressed, and the use of depleted uranium was widespread. All of these are, again, war crimes.

Op-Ed: James 'Mad Dog' Mattis, war criminal

Once Operation Vigilant Resolve, also known as the First Battle of Fallujah, began on April 4, however, Mattis' concerns were overridden by the military mandate to get the job done as quickly and with as little loss of American life as possible.

Four days into the offensive, women, children and elderly residents were allowed to leave the besieged city, but males over the age of 14 were not. Families faced the horrific choice of splitting up or staying together to face the fury of the invading Marines.
It was some fury. According to witnesses and survivors of the assault, Marines indiscriminately killed men, women, children, the elderly and disabled alike. Civilians waving white flags of surrender were cut down by snipers, who also targeted ambulances carrying the wounded and dying to the few functioning clinics not destroyed by U.S. bombs.

Amazon Shareholders Call On Jeff Bezos To Stop Selling Facial “Rekognition” Software To Police

By Aaron Kesel

An astounding 20 groups of Amazon shareholders sent its CEO, Jeff Bezos, a letter urging him to stop selling the company’s face recognition software to law enforcement. The software, called Rekognition, came under greater scrutiny last month when the ACLU published revealing internal documents related to its use by police. Numerous civil rights organizations co-signed a letter demanding Amazon stop assisting government surveillance, and several members of Congress have expressed concerns about the partnerships...

Greyhound Bus Under Fire As More Reports Of Immigration Searches and Detentions Surface

By Joe Wright

As the immigration debate continues to rage in America, the application of the Constitution-Free Zone that extends 100 miles inland around the borders of the U.S. is creating a quandary for private companies forced to comply with a federal mandate.

Greyhound Lines, Inc. is one of America’s longest-running transportation companies at 104 years and now finds itself at the center of a growing number of reports about random searches and even detentions that are occurring along its line from Florida to Texas to Seattle. All told, its compliance with border patrol puts an estimated 18 million passengers per year at risk across 3,800 destinations...

A Young Russian Explains Why the West Reminds Him of the USSR

1968-2018. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the French mass protests — Red May, Red June, Red July, Red August — which turned all the Western civilization entirely upside down. Four months of crowd crying — half-century of intellectual silence. One regime changing — five decades of unprecedented total brain cleaning on its wrecks. And finally — last but no least — the young protesters, (‘prohibitions prohibited’ was their slogan), have successfully converted into the old autocrats they’ve rebelled against.

The West Is Becoming Orwell's Oceania With a Homo Twist, All the Signs Are There

But in the real world of today, it is the globalist billionaires who own multiple mansions, fly private jets and ride in eight-cylinder limousines to climate-change conferences where policies are decreed to lower the carbon footprint of the proletariat. It is the wealthy elite of the westernized nations who have sacrificed individual freedom upon the altar of Collectivism as political correctness has stifled free speech and enslaved citizens drown under oceans of debt.

At the same time, megalithic multi-national corporations like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Apple, Facebook, and Twitter, have become the eyes and ears of Big Brother; always watching and ever listening.

Why They Hate Tucker Carlson

No one is allowed to dissent from the official Establishment line: that’s the new dispensation in the media, and it is being enforced by the political class, which has launched a series of smear campaigns against anyone who dares question the conventional wisdom. Anyone who questions the veracity of the media, starting with our President, is deemed an “enemy of democracy,” because the media is supposed to be the foundation stone of a free society.

But what happens when the media becomes an instrument in the hands of Power, a weapon in the arsenal of a Deep State intent on exercising its veto over our democratically elected government?

That’s a question fake-“libertarian” Conor Friedersdorf doesn’t want you to even contemplate. Why? Because then, like Tucker Carlson, you’d be “hurting America.” That’s right, folks: “Tucker Carlson is Hurting America Again”! Yes, again!

Oh, when will they make it stop?

Europe’s democrats must unite to prevent a far-right takeover

The battle lines are now drawn for Europe’s ultimate test: the May 2019 elections for the European parliament. That’s when far-right and populist parties will attempt to complete their power grab in the EU. In the elections of 2014, they made gains. Next year, they’ll seek to dominate. The dramatic events we’ve witnessed over the past fortnight, in Germany and Italy have been a mere foretaste of the showdown that lies ahead.

MORNING STAR REMOVES ARTICLE BLAMING JEWS FOR ANTI-SEMITISM

The communist Morning Star newspaper has removed from its website an article which blamed mainstream Jewish groups for rising anti-Semitism. The article by John Elder, headlined “Rising anti-Semitism cannot be tackled without addressing Israel’s crimes”, argued:

“‘Mainstream’ Jewish organisations protesting about growing anti-Semitism must see that, by failing to condemn Israeli brutality against Palestinians, they will be regarded by some as being indirectly complicit in that country’s actions.”

It has now disappeared from the Morning Star website:

Bridge: US Liberals Are Clinically Insane And Care Nothing For The American People

The mass hysteria that swept across Liberal America, like one giant tear tsunami, following Hillary Clinton’s ‘surprise’ loss in the 2016 presidential election has reached a new level of madness and can now be described as a deep-seated psychosis.

There are some understandable reasons for the Left’s collective mental breakdown. Briefly, ‘Russiagate’ is disintegrating into a burlesque theater of the absurd, while Trump – from jump-starting the Heartland’s industrial sector, to making peace with a nuclear-armed dictator, to ‘winning’ the World Cup – is on a serious roll. If the momentum continues, it may give the Republicans a crucial victory in November congressional midterms. The Democrats, acutely aware as to what is at stake yet unable to stop Trump, are showing a side of their character that can be best described as treacherous. And in order to see the symptoms of a disintegrating Democratic Party one only need look at the US entertainment industry.

Rape And Abuse of Japanese Women By American Soldiers During WW2

Japanese historian Oshiro Masayasu writes about the large scale rape by American soldiers in Okinawa in 1945. He reports the incident at a village in Motobu peninsula where GIs landed and found only women, children and old folks there. What followed was abominable. There was a hunt in broad daylight for Japanese women who were ravaged mercilessly.

Mad Dog Mattis, the destroyer of Raqqa, frets about losing moral authority

It’s parallel universe time when US Pentagon chief James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis complains that America’s “moral authority” is being undermined by others – specifically Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
This is the ex-Marine general who gained his ruthless reputation from when illegally occupying US troops razed the Iraqi city of Fallujah in the 2004-2005 using “shake and bake” bombardment of inhabitants with banned white phosphorus incendiaries.

A repeat of those war crimes happened again last year under Mattis’ watch as Pentagon chief when US warplanes obliterated the Syrian city of Raqqa, killing thousands of civilians. Even the pro-US Human Rights Watch abhorred the repeated use of white phosphorus during that campaign to “liberate” Raqqa, supposedly from jihadists.

Raised eyebrows as Madeleine Albright & Bana Alabed to be honored for ‘defending freedom’

The pro-NATO Atlantic Council think tank is set to honor former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Syrian child activist Bana Alabed at its Freedom Awards this week.

The Freedom Awards honor individuals who “defend and advance the cause of freedom around the world” and will be hosted in Berlin later this week — but the nominations have caused quite a few puzzled reactions online.

According to the Atlantic Council website, Albright will be recognized for her “championing of global democracy” and as an exemplar of “the power of diplomacy in achieving solutions to the most pressing challenges facing our world.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Madeleine Albright was interviewed on CBS's 60 Minutes (on May 12, 1996, and was asked, "We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?"

Albright's answer, "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price — we think the price is worth it."

Allied soldiers 'raped hundreds of thousands of German women' after WW2

Hundreds of thousands of German women were raped by British, American and French soldiers after the end of the Second World War, a German historian has claimed.

In a new book, Professor Miriam Gerhardt, a well-regarded German academic, challenges the established view that Soviet troops were responsible for the vast majority of rape cases in occupied Germany.

“The assumption that Western Allied soldiers would not do such a thing turned out not to be true,” she said, to the broadcaster Deutsche Welle. “In the method and violence of rap there was no different between American GIs and the Red Army, as far as I can see.”

The GIs who raped France: We know about the mass rape of German women by Stalin's soldiers. Now a new book reveals American troops committed thousands of rapes on French women they were 'liberating'

While the Germans had French girlfriends, the American military had a different approach.

As Professor Roberts says: ‘My book seeks to debunk an old myth about the GI, thought of as a manly creature that always behaved well — the GIs were having sex anywhere and everywhere.’

In total, it is estimated that some 14,000 women were raped by American GIs in Western Europe from 1942 to 1945. In France, 152 American soldiers were tried for rape, of whom 29 were hanged.

‘Normandy women launched a wave of rape accusations against American soldiers,’ Roberts writes, ‘threatening to destroy the erotic fantasy at the heart of the operation. The spectre of rape transformed the GI from rescuer-warrior to violent intruder’.
