Mass Surveillance Is Coming to a City Near YouA tech entrepreneur wants to track the residents of a high-crime American community.

The tech entrepreneur Ross McNutt wants to spend three years recording outdoor human movements in a major U.S. city, KMOX news radio reports.

If that sounds too dystopian to be real, you’re behind the times. McNutt, who runs Persistent Surveillance Systems, was inspired by his stint in the Air Force tracking Iraqi insurgents. He tested mass-surveillance technology over Compton, California, in 2012. In 2016, the company flew over Baltimore, feeding information to police for months (without telling city leaders or residents) while demonstrating how the technology works to the FBI and Secret Service.

The goal is noble: to reduce violent crime.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How do you "prevent" violent crime? What this guy is explaining, is full-frontal surveillance, not crime prevention.

City and State legislators understand how to prevent crime, or at least, most of it. And what is key is that:

1. We educate all of our children, as though it matters for all our kids. Be on the cutting edge of changes in the workforce, and how they will effect your students when they graduate, so that they will be educated for those jobs which will still exist in American society.

2. Lower class size, so that kids who are behind the 8-ball educationally, can catch up. Because if you lose a kid in elementary school, that young adult will probably put himself, or herself in harm's way, (stealing, running drugs, and winding up in prisons with no real hope for behaviour modifications, to prevent these episodes from happening in the future.)

3. Teachers, stay as close to the parents (or legal guardians) of the kids you teach as possible, maybe face timing, or Skyping with them, on a monthly basis.

4. Analyze why private schools are having more success in teaching children, than do most public school teachers are right now, according to open-sourced records.

5. Find out what really works, in a way that makes kids excited about coming to school on a daily basis.

6. Cities and States in the US, start legalizing all drugs, to take a big bite of cartel revenue; if you do this, then kids will become less incentivized to get involved with gangs.

7. Stop "teaching to the test", because at the end of the day, each child has their own unique way of understanding material. If they are right in their understanding, so much the better, but let them come to the answers by independent means.

8. And get rid of teachers' unions. Once tenured, a really not-well-performing teacher, is almost impossible to fire, no matter what they have done, or not done.

9. Teach kids to work collaboratively; working with and within a group, gives kids the opportunity to work with others, respectfully, and intelligently; that is never a handicap, for the people who learn these skills early.

I know that I have said a few things here that are going to get me in deep "kim chee" (hot water), particularly with teachers and teachers' unions; but perhaps, these are words which needed to be said, particularly at this moment in time, when our kids are having a hard time learning, and are not measuring up to the academic accomplishments of other kids internationally, along with some horrible insights about inner-city public schools in this country:

Can you skip 47 days of high School, and still graduate?!? The story goes on to state:

"Can you skip 47 days of class and still graduate? In Maryland's largest school system, the answer is yes. But the larger question is, in make up tests, how are these kids managing to get a passing grade without attending classes?

A Formula for Failure in L.A. Schools - Los Angeles Times

Developing Countries Lead in Education Innovation: Old-line government schools are failing many children, especially in low-income neighborhoods.

U.S. students’ academic achievement still lags that of their peers in many other countries

And we have a google reference to the following: "The U.S. ranks 17th in educational performance. According to the report, The Learning Curve, developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit, the United States ranks seventeenth out of forty countries ranked in overall educational performance. Finland ranks first."

And Mr. President, in order to "make America Great Again", you have to make American education the best in the world, in order that it "stay great."

US Envoy: Iran Must Be ‘Countered’ in Yemen

Many Trump Administration officials have been, by way of reconciling President Trump’s insistence that he doesn’t want war with Iran and their desire for something very much resembling a war, been presenting US military action, and the US backing of such action, as necessarily stabilizing to the region.

So with Special Envoy Brian Hook on Friday. Hook, who made headlines Wednesday by claiming not to be a “scholar” when asked if Iran was behind 9/11, is now pushing for Iran to be “countered” in Yemen. He says the alternative risks regional conflict and destabilizing the area.

To be clear, Iran isn’t actually in Yemen in the first place. Rather, there is the Shi’ite Houthi movement, whom the Saudis have attempted to brand as Iranian proxies, as it facilitates an ongoing Saudi war in Yemen, which the US is supporting.

India "Risks Triggering Sanctions" Over Russian S-400 Deal, US Warns

Just ahead of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to India next week, the State Department reiterated US frustration with New Delhi over its deal to purchase S-400 antiaircraft missile system from Russia.

India already appeared to blow off last week's US urging it not to go through with the purchase, which comes at a delicate time of severe strain with Turkey over precisely the same issue. A State Dept. briefing hinted at the Turkey issue alongside ally India seeking to procure the advanced Russian system:

"With respect to the S-400, we're urging all of our allies and partners, India included, to forgo transactions with Russia that risk triggering the CAATSA sanctions," an official said during a background briefing Friday.

Iran Vows "One Bullet" In Our Direction Will "Set Fire" To US & Allies

The world was very close to witnessing yet another US preemptive strike war in the Middle East this week, and though a last minute White House decision to stand down caused a collective sigh of relief, even a minor incident could yet trigger a major conflagration.

Early Saturday a top Iranian general warned Iran is ready to initiate a full retaliation if even "one bullet" is fired at the Islamic Republic. “Firing one bullet towards Iran will set fire to the interests of America and its allies” in the Middle East, armed forces general staff spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi told Tasnim News Agency.

"Bomb, Bomb, Bomb... Bomb, Bomb" Iran

As a nation, you’re certifiedly (is that a word?!) in deep trouble if and when Donald Trump is your most peaceloving man. But nevertheless, that is America today. It all harks back to the days when Trump was first -grudgingly and painstakingly- recognized as an actual presidential candidate.

He campaigned as a man who would end the costly and neverending decades-old and counting US wars far away from American shores and territory. He hasn’t lived up to those campaign goals at all, far from it, and he hired doofuses like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo to show everyone that he didn’t, but in the early hours of June 21 2019 he apparently decided at the last minute that it just didn’t add up.

Watch: Dishwashing Robot Cleans Plates At Restaurant

A new wave of investments in automation is expected to eliminate 20% to 25% of current jobs by 2030 (40 million displaced jobs). In the latest installment of robots taking jobs, we have found a robot dishwasher that threatens to replace 550,000 jobs in the coming years.

A startup called Dishcraft Robotics is set to disrupt commercial kitchens with robot dishwashers. The new robot is designed to reduce the time and energy that humans spend washing plates by using automation to make sure dishes are cleaned faster and cheaper than a typical human.

Iran to Defend Its Borders Regardless of US Decisions – Foreign Ministry

Earlier, US President Donald Trump called off a strike against targets in Iran minutes prior to launch, as he discovered some 150 Iranians would be killed. The strikes were set to be launched in retaliation to Iran's downing of a UAV, which, according to Tehran, breached its airspace, though Washington denies it did so.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi has stated that the country's stance on the defence of its borders won't change "regardless of any decision" that Washington may take in regards to Iran, Tasnim News Agency reported.

"We are ready to counter any threats against the (territorial) integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Our decisions do not hinge on their decisions and we will counter any aggression whether it mingles with threats or not", he said.

US wants low-yield nukes to blackmail dissident countries, not to deter Russia – Moscow

US generals are well aware that there’s no way of limiting the use of nuclear weapons in a war between superpowers, so the claim that some “low-yield” nukes are needed to match Russia is an outright lie, the Foreign Ministry said.
Moscow’s statement comes in response to the vice-chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Paul Selva, who vehemently promoted the modification of the warheads on Trident missiles, which are carried on Ohio-class submarines, in order for them to be able to carry low-yield nuclear weapons.

‘Fire on Iran & US will be opening the gates of hell’ – George Galloway in video address

George Galloway has warned the US and its allies in the Gulf that if they were to start “World War III” with an attack on Iran they will live to regret it because, unlike Iraq in 2003, they are capable of fighting back.

The Scottish firebrand, who famously took US lawmakers to task over the Iraq war when he testified in front of the senate in 2005, has given his take on the recent ratcheting-up of tension in the Gulf region after Iran shot down a US drone, which, it says, had entered its airspace.

Washington maintains its UAV was shot down while patrolling over international waters in an “unprovoked attack.” On Friday President Donald Trump took to Twitter to claim the US were 10 minutes away from bombing three Iranian sites, before calling off the strikes.

NATO considers declaring space a new domain of warfare under US pressure

The NATO military alliance is planning to officially recognize space as a domain of warfare this year, in a move that officials are describing as a “gift” to US President Donald Trump who has long expressed concerns about the growing military capabilities of Russia and China beyond Earth.

Defense ministers from the US-led pact's 29 members are expected to make a decision on the issue when they reconvene in London early December.

“There’s agreement that we should make space a domain and the London summit is the best place to make it official,” said one senior NATO diplomat involved in the discussions.

A second diplomat said while the decision was weighty and had real consequences, it would be “a gift" to Trump, who will also be attending the summit.

Pakistan nuclear physicist reveals new information about Egypt’s Morsi

Pakistani nuclear physicist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan has revealed key facts about the reason behind the 2013 coup against Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and the role played by the US, Israel and internal agents in these events.

Khan – who is described as the “father of the Pakistani atomic bomb” – wrote in a testimony on Facebook that “President Morsi travelled to Russia, India and Pakistan, but many do not know that he agreed with the Russians to re-operate an Egyptian nuclear reactor enriched with uranium that would generate electricity. He also agreed to establish another reactor that Egypt would receive three years later, for the same purpose”.

“It would have been better for me not to speak about Egyptian affairs,” Khan added, “but the Egyptian people need to know the truth in order to decide the fate of President Morsi.”

'Alarm bells': Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions cast shadow over the region

In sharp contrast to Iran, its revolutionary identity and revisionist tendencies, Saudi Arabia has traditionally been a proponent of the prevailing order and status-quo balance of power in the Middle East.

This seems to be changing under Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, who continues to receive extraordinary support from US President Donald Trump's administration.

Whether it is an attempt to revise the status quo in favour of Riyadh, or prevent it from being revised by others, Saudi Arabia's nuclear and missile programmes are bound to have significant regional implications.

Honduras protest crackdown: Five things to know

The Honduran government announced the nationwide deployment of military forces on Thursday, amid intensifying nationwide protests against President Juan Orlando Hernandez.

Mass demonstrations began nearly two months ago, when teachers and medical professionals took to the streets to protest a series of decrees they say facilitate the further privatisation of health and education.

The movement quickly evolved into nonstop multi-sector nationwide protests and blockades demanding "Fuera JOH" (Out With JOH), using the acronym for the president's name.

At least three protesters have been killed and more than 20 wounded in the last four days alone.

A Bundy/Malheur Deja Vu:-- Pacific Northwest Militia Groups Vow To Shield And Protect Oregon Republican Senators "At All Costs"..

Right-wing militia groups across the Pacific Northwest are mobilizing to prevent Oregon state police from arresting Republican state senators who went into hiding on Thursday in order to prevent climate change legislation from passing.

All 11 of Oregon’s Republican state senators are currently on the lam, with some leaving for Idaho in an effort to deny the Democrat-controlled state senate a quorum to pass a cap-and-trade bill. In response, Oregon Governor Kate Brown (D), citing a provision in the state constitution that allows the state to “compel” absent lawmakers to attend legislative sessions, dispatched state troopers to bring them back.

One of the lawmakers on the lam, Republican Brian Boquist (R), warned that he would resort to violence rather than return to the state, implying in a local television interview that he would attack law enforcement officers sent to retrieve him.

BREAKING, Pelosi Calls On Religious Leaders To Declare Holy War On Trump

U.S. House of Representatives’ Speaker Nancy Pelosi urged religious leaders on Saturday to pressure President Donald Trump to stop immigration raids by his administration expected to target families in up to 10 U.S. cities on Sunday.

Pelosi, a Democrat, said in a release that the expected raids would “inject terror into our communities” and tear families apart.

“The President’s action makes no distinction between a status violation and committing a serious crime,” Pelosi said, urging faith-based and other leaders to convey to Trump the value of U.S. refugee resettlement programs.

This Is How The U.S. Plans To Cripple Iran’s Economy

With sanctions re-imposed on Iran’s oil exports last year and recently applied in part to its petrochemicals exports as well, the U.S. is now looking to roll out the next phase of its sanctions plan against the Islamic Republic. This is to gradually employ increasingly tight sanctions on Iran’s gas sector, whilst ensuring that Europe’s mechanism for enabling ongoing business with Iran does not succeed. These policies taken together are aimed at limiting Iran’s energy export revenues to no more than US$14 billion per year, a senior energy source who works closely with Iran’s Petroleum Ministry told OilPrice.com last week. “This is the level of revenue targeted by the U.S. as being required to catalyse a popular uprising to remove the current regime in Tehran but not to cause an outright humanitarian disaster,” he added.

Whistleblower Who Warned About False Flag Attacks to Justify U.S. Invasion of Iran Found Dead, YouTube Channel Removed

Whistleblower David Goldberg, a resident of New York City, has reportedly died of unknown causes.

Yesterday, the governmentslaves.news site reported that the White House insider who was quoted — David Goldberg (59 years old) — has since been found dead in his New York apartment on June 8th. His death is being investigated and no cause of death has yet been disclosed.

Goldberg also said that a false flag attack would be used to escalate the situation, which appears to be what we’ve seen take place in the Gulf of Oman with the two attack of two oil tankers.

Trump’s climbdown on Iran is a defeat to the Israel lobby

Since Donald Trump decided not to attack Iran Thursday, it has been stated again and again that the American people don’t want another war in the Middle East. NPR says so, PBS says so, the Washington Post says the Congress is “war-weary,” the Times notes the considerable support Trump has gotten from Republicans; and even Lindsey Graham has backed Trump’s decision. So do Democratic liberals and centrists and Nancy Pelosi.

Trump himself said a war with Iran is unpopular when he told his Orlando rally Thursday that great nations don’t fight “endless wars,” and he was removing troops and putting “America first.”

The reasonable question here is, Who wants a war with Iran, and why do they want it? The answer is, far-right Republicans like Adam Kinzinger, Tom Cotton, and Liz Cheney who say it’s a sign of weakness not to attack Iran. And the Israel lobby, which wants the U.S. to take on Israel’s regional rival.

Palestinian neighborhoods in Jerusalem are targeted for increase in housing demolitions

The Jerusalem Center of Socio and Economic Rights, Monday, warned of the escalation of Israeli demolitions in occupied Jerusalem, noting it bears the nature of a collective form of punishment. The director of the center Zeyad al-Hamouree warned, in a statement, that the Israeli municipality and civil administration are carrying out demolitions in Qalandia, Sur Baher, Silwan and al-Bustan neighborhoods. He explained that Israel plans to demolish wide parts of Palestinian facilities to build Israeli facilities, noting the Israeli plans to establish the so-called National Park in Arrababh neighborhood. He stressed, according to Al Ray, that the next phase in Jerusalem is so difficult, especially regarding residential buildings. He said that dozens of demolition orders are carried out without warning.

A FLORIDA CITY PAID A $600,000 BITCOIN RANSOM TO HACKERS WHO TOOK OVER ITS COMPUTERS — AND IT'S A MASSIVE ALARM BELL FOR THE REST OF THE US

SOURCE: BUSINESSINSIDER.COM

A Florida city's council voted to pay a ransom of $600,000 in Bitcoin to hackers that targeted its computer systems — and the payout is a sign of how unprepared much of the US is to deal with a coming wave of cyberattacks.

The city council of Riviera Beach, Florida, 50 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, voted on Monday to meet the demands of its hackers in hope of getting back the city's compromised data, CBS News reported.

According to The Palm Beach Post, the attack began on May 29, when an employee from the police department opened an email attachment that contained malware.

The software quickly spread through the city's computer systems, affecting its email system and even the 911 dispatch operations.

The New York Times reported that the hackers demanded their ransom in bitcoin. The paper said there was no guarantee the hackers would honor their end of the deal after getting the money.

BIOTECH, PHARMA, AND HEALTHCARE FIRMS REPORT HIGH LEVELS OF CYBERSECURITY INCIDENTS AND FRAUD

SOURCE: NATURALBLAZE.COM

By Sofia Adamson

As documented in an international study for the 2017-18, Kroll Annual Global Fraud & Risk Report, cyber security and fraud threats continue to achieve high levels in the biotechnology, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals industry.

78% of respondents reported that their companies had encountered an information threat or cyber incident, attack, or loss over the past twelve months. Only 7 out of 10 (67%) documented the existence of at least one security crash during the past 12 months.

The document unveils that respondents in the biotechnology, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals industry have a higher sense of susceptibility to security, fraud, and cyber risks, with information-related threats now being the part of highest concern.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The unasked question here, seems to be how can their systems be so sensitive to hacks and attacks, and what can they do to stop this?!?

As all medical records are required to be in electronic format in the US, why isn't the DHT more forthcoming in giving health professionals more robust tools, for countering these problems?!? I mean, The Department of Homeland Security should have the capability for providing some tools available for those most in the most urgent need of cyber security, right?!?

and yet, we barely hear a yawn from DHS on this urgent problem.

How Black Africans From Ebola Center DRC Are Being Placed All Over America By The Trump Administration

As I have stated over the past several appearances on the Rense Program, the hordes of Third World black African migrant invaders that have been suddenly appearing at the Mexican border and given immediate asylum (and forever cost-free lives in America) were brought effortlessly into the US via Mexico under the protection of the UN Refugee Resettlement Program. I have been doing much research over the past couple weeks and have came across what I believe to be virtually iron-clad supporting evidence of my statements.

As some of you saw on a recent Rense video post, a Dutch journalist tried to interview some of the Africans who were transported to and then dropped off at a San Antonio, TX bus station. Remember, many of these Africans were flashing ROLLS of US $100 bills.

Supreme Court Upholds Double Jeopardy Rule That Might Weaken Reach Of Trump’s Pardons

The Supreme Court left undisturbed Monday a legal rule that allows state and federal governments to prosecute individuals for the same conduct despite the Constitution’s ban on double jeopardy.

The case was closely watched because of its possible ramifications for President Donald Trump, given continued speculation that he could pardon confidants facing criminal convictions like Paul Manafort. The pardon power authorizes the president to grant clemency for federal crimes, but does not reach state matters.

The Fifth Amendment’s double jeopardy clause prohibits multiple prosecutions for the same offense. An exception to this rule called the separate sovereigns doctrine allows state and federal governments to bring successive prosecutions for the same crime. Monday’s decision leaves the doctrine in place, meaning any person Trump pardons remains exposed to state prosecutions.

OREGON SENATE CLOSES DUE TO ‘POSSIBLE MILITIA THREAT’ AFTER REPUBLICAN WALKOUT

SOURCE: FOX NEWS

The Oregon state Senate closed Saturday after a “possible militia threat” from a right-wing group -- amid a broader drama over a walkout by Republican lawmakers over looming climate change legislation.

Right-wing groups posted their support for the 12 rebel Republicans on Friday, including one group -- the Oregon Three Percenters -- who joined in an armed takeover of a wildlife refuge in 2016.

On Friday, a spokeswoman for Senate President Peter Courtney told The Associated Press that the Oregon state police “recommended that the Capitol be closed tomorrow due to a possible militia threat.”

Oregon State Police, in a statement, said it has been "monitoring information throughout the day that indicates the safety of legislators, staff and citizen visitors could be compromised if certain threatened behaviors were realized."

Webmaster's Commentary:

US NED-FUNDED MEDDLING EXPOSED IN THE PHILIPPINES

The most recent manifestation of this can be seen in the Philippines where Manila has accused media front Rappler, founded by long-time CNN bureau chief Maria Ressa, and others of representing foreign interests and conspiring with foreign intelligence agencies in direct violation of the nation's constitution.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) in its defense of Rappler would claim:

First were the politically motivated state charges that funding provided to the news website Rappler by a U.S. philanthropic foundation represented a violation of constitutional provisions barring foreign control or ownership of Philippine media.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the charges by the Philippine government prove true, it would certainly not be the first time, that US media-operators in foreign countries, were accused of illegal activity.

ETHIOPIA ARMY CHIEF SHOT DEAD BY OWN BODYGUARD IN FAILED COUP

SOURCE: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR
Ethiopia’s Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gen. Sea’re Mekonnen was killed in the late hours of Saturday by his own guard, the government confirmed, reports Anadolu Agency.

The chief of staff, according to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who delivered a message to the nation on Sunday, died trying to prevent a coup attempt in Ethiopia’s northern Amhara region.

A retired general who goes by the name Geza’e Abera was also killed at the home of Sea’re, said Press Secretary of the Prime Minister Office Nigusu Tilahun on Sunday.

The killers have been arrested and an investigation has been launched, he added.

He said the coup was orchestrated by Brig. Gen. Asaminew Tsige, who is the chief of the regional security bureau. Asaminew was one the many political prisoners given amnesty after the coming to power of Abiy in April last year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Cui bono?!?

Who benefits from this assassination, and will there be more of them?!? Only time will tell, but the resources Ethiopia has are an absolute "embarrassment of riches."

Natural Resources of Ethiopia These resources include: Major Natural Resources In Ethiopia
The country has a few known reserves of precious metals and other natural resources such as gold, potash, natural gas, copper, and platinum. In addition to all these resources, there is also an extensive potential for the generation of hydropower.

However, the most abundant natural resource is arguably natural gas. Explorations in the past have shown that Ethiopia has some of the largest deposits of natural gas compared to most countries in Africa. Despite all this potential, natural gas has not been properly exploited yet. The potential is so high that the geology of some parts of the country, like that of the Ogaden basin, resembles the natural gas-rich geological structures of oil and gas fields in the Middle East

We will soon see if American or Chinese forces in Africa, will vow to lend their services as "Advisors" to the Ethiopian government; both countries want a foothold here.

Anti-Vaxxers are Dangerous and Should Be Arrested?

You may have noticed a recent article in The Washington Post by Juliette N. Kayyem entitled “Anti-vaxxers are dangerous. Make them face isolation, fines, arrests.”1

My initial reaction was the article must have been written by a moron. However, my opinion changed when I discovered the author, Ms. Kayyem, who graduated from Harvard law school in 1995. So, it appears this article is a carefully crafted piece of pro-vaccine industry propaganda. In other words, a large pile of nonsense and misinformation masquerading as authoritative information. Propaganda pieces typically contain nonsense and blatant lies. That’s OK because the “Big Lie” becomes believable if repeated often enough. (Who Said That?)9 Let’s take a look at the main point and the most glaring falsehood in the article: “Anti-Vaxxers Are Dangerous.”

Weak Sun Causes Airline Passengers 70 Times More Radiation

Sun spotless for 33 days straight – airline travelers getting dosed with up to 70 times more radiation

Are we in a solar grand minimum? We’ve seen this before, but now predictions are for an extremely weak solar cycle ahead.

Today is the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere. The sun has been without a single observable sunspot now for over a month – 33 days according to NOAA and SIDC data. Spaceweather.com says:

"This is a sign of Solar Minimum, a phase of the solar cycle that brings extra cosmic rays, long-lasting holes in the sun’s atmosphere, and a possible surplus of noctilucent clouds. "

Trump Ordered Secret Cyber Attacks On Iran As An "Alternative" To War Thursday Night

It's been revealed that President Trump did order an attack on Iran - but not a military assault - instead, the US initiated a major cyber attack against an Iranian intelligence outfit the Pentagon believes was part of last week's limpet mine incident involving two tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

According to Yahoo News, which first broke the story - which was later confirmed Saturday evening by CNN and The Washington Post - the "retaliatory digital strike" was launched on Thursday evening just as the world was bracing itself for possible US airstrikes on Iran:

On Thursday evening, U.S. Cyber Command launched a retaliatory digital strike against an Iranian spy group that supported last week’s limpet mine attacks on commercial ships, according to two former intelligence officials.

JOHNSON & JOHNSON FACES MULTIBILLION OPIOIDS LAWSUIT THAT COULD UPEND BIG PHARMA

SOURCE: THEGUARDIAN.COM

Day after day, the memos flashing across screens in an Oklahoma courtroom have jarred with the family-friendly public image of Johnson & Johnson, the pharmaceutical giant best known for baby powder and Band-Aid.

In one missive, a sales representative dismissed a doctor’s fears that patients might become addicted to the company’s opioid painkillers by telling him those who didn’t die probably wouldn’t get hooked. Another proposes targeting sales of the powerfully addictive drugs at those most at risk: men under 40.

As the state of Oklahoma’s multibillion-dollar lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson has unfolded over the past month, the company has struggled to explain marketing strategies its accusers say dangerously misrepresented the risk of opioid addiction to doctors, manipulated medical research, and helped drive an epidemic that has claimed 400,000 lives over the past two decades.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good; there are some drug companies which should be sued out of existence, and very much because of their sharp marketing tactics.

Trump: "Major Additional Sanctions" Coming For Iran Monday

After meetings with advisers focused on Iran at Camp David on Saturday, President Trump said "major additional sanctions" will be imposed on Iran, to be unveiled Monday.

"Iran cannot have Nuclear Weapons! Under the terrible Obama plan, they would have been on their way to Nuclear in a short number of years, and existing verification is not acceptable," he said, explaining his rationale for keeping up the "maximum pressure" campaign through more sanctions.

“We want to be proportionate,” Trump told reporters previously on Saturday, while saying he'll never fully rule out using military force on Iran. “It’s always on the table until we get this solved,” he said of future potential US military attack. “We have a tremendously powerful military force in that area.”

Another way China is ripping us off

Iranian troops take part in the "National Persian Gulf day" in the Strait of Hormuz, on April 30, 2019. - The date coincides with the anniversary of a successful military campaign by Shah Abbas the Great of Persia in the 17th century, which drove the Portuguese navy out of the Hormuz Island, after which is named the waterway which separates the Gulf from the Sea of Oman.

In the old days, it would have been absolutely essential for the United States to ensure that the Strait of Hormuz—through which a third of the world’s crude oil passes daily—remained open. It is less essential now, thanks to the oil shale revolution, which has once again made America an oil giant. We now produce more oil than Saudi Arabia and more than the Russians.

REPORT: Nancy Pelosi Called Trump Last Night Requesting ICE Raids Be Called Off – And He Caved

President Trump said on Monday evening in a pair of tweets that next week ICE will begin the process of removing millions illegal aliens who have illicitly entered the US.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) was set to begin raids with court-ordered removals in 10 cities beginning Sunday.

On Saturday Trump walked back his promise and announced he will be delaying the illegal immigration removal process for two weeks at the request of Democrats to see if Congress will work together on a solution to fix the asylum loopholes.

According to reports by CNN and the Associated Press, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called President Trump on Friday evening and requested he call off the ICE raids…and he listened to her.

North Korea leader receives 'excellent' letter from Trump

President Donald Trump sent North Korean leader Kim Jong Un an "excellent" letter, the North's state-run news agency reported Sunday, quoting Kim as saying he would "seriously contemplate it."

The White House declined to confirm that Trump had sent a letter to Kim.

It comes as nuclear talks between the U.S. and North Korea broke down after the failed summit between Kim and Trump in February in Vietnam.

THIS IS CRIMINAL! Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Calls on Supporters to Report ICE Sightings, Harbor Illegal Aliens in their Homes!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made headlines this week when she compared ICE holding centers for illegal aliens to ‘concentration camps’ like those in Nazi Germany.

AOC later said she will NEVER apologize for her offensive and ignorant remarks.

Today’s Democrat Party is OPEN BORDER — They DO NOT Support a secure border and believe ALL ILLEGAL MIGRANTS should be allowed to rome freely in America — and get free healthcare!

As President Trump explained earlier today, these are criminal illegals who have been through the process and ordered back to their country — “The people that Ice will apprehend have already been ordered to be deported. This means that they have run from the law and run from the courts… They broke the law by coming into the country, & now by staying.”
