App Developers Sue Apple Alleging Anti-Competitive Behaviour – Report

The action comes amid similar legal disputes initiated by consumers and an antitrust investigation initiated by the Department of Justice.

Two app developers — Donald Cameron and Pure Sweat Basketball — filed a lawsuit against Apple in a California federal court, alleging that the Cupertino tech giant engages in anti-competitive practices.

The plaintiffs claim that limiting the purchase and download of apps to just the App Store stifles developers.

App Store demands 30% commissions on all app purchases plus a $99 yearly fee from devs just to qualify for on-platform software sales. Apple also artificially regulates minimum and maximum price points for apps, according to the lawsuit says.

CREEPY: Amazon and Facebook Both Want To Read Human Emotions

Facebook and Amazon’s insanity only seems to continue with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Now, the two big conglomerate giants want to move into the uncharted territory of reading human emotions, both in their own ways.

Facebook wants a robot that has five senses which can read human emotions. Facebook wants “emotionally sensitive” robots that can explore the world, identify objects and people and enable its users to make more friends...

Cost of Prescription Drugs Increases 9.5% Annually, Coordinated by Industry

Scripps Research analyzed pharmacy insurance claims from over 35 million Americans, finding ‘continual, marked, annual increases’ of popular brand-name drugs, with price jumps often timed with competitors.

After reviewing tens of millions of insurance claims for the country’s 49 most popular brand-name prescription drugs, a team from Scripps Research Translational Institute found that net prices rose by a median of 76 percent from January 2012 through December 2017—with most products going up once or twice per year.

FBI Failed To Brief in Aug 2016 Then-Candidate Trump About Investigations Into His Staff

A mid-August 2016 counterintelligence briefing for the Trump campaign did not specifically warn officials about Russian outreach to the Trump team, nor did it warn that two campaign aides, Mike Flynn and George Papadopoulos, were already under FBI investigation, Fox News has learned.

The new details about the so-called “defensive briefing” have emerged from congressional letters, text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page, and sources familiar with the matter. Such briefings are designed to warn the candidate and his team about national security threats.

“There was a defensive briefing of candidate Trump on Aug. 17 of 2016,” Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said Thursday on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.” “And I can tell you what he wasn’t told: He wasn’t warned about a Russia investigation that Peter Strzok had opened 18 days earlier.”

LIST OF COMPANIES USING FETAL CELLS FROM ABORTED BABIES TO FLAVOUR PRODUCTS.

“What is hidden from the public who are using HEK 293 – human embryonic kidney cells taken from an electively aborted baby to produce these receptors,” said Debi Vinnedge, Executive Director of Children of God for Life, a pro-life organization and ethics which monitors the use and amount of aborted fetal material in medical and cosmetic products (per year).

“They could use monkey cells (CON) cells, Chinese hamster ovary cells, insect cells or other human taste receptor, morally obtained, expressing the G protein,” said Vinnedge.

After several requests for information Nestlé finally admitted his relationship with Senomyx, indicating that the cell line was “well established in the scientific research”.

After listening to Ms. Vinnedge in April 2012, exposing the reality of the problem, many consumers-angry citizens began to express their condemnation of such immorality through letters to companies. Campbell Soup and PepsiCo responded immediately.

Alexa's Sneaky Fine Print Could Prevent Millions From Suing Amazon For Anything

Let’s say you purchased a pencil case for your kid on Amazon.com.au But it turns out it contains lead that’s way over the federal legal limit, and your kid gets sick as a result. You liked Amazon, used it frequently to buy products and even own an Amazon Echo. But now you want to sue the company. There’s just one problem.

When you downloaded and agreed to the Alexa app’s Terms of Use—which you did when you started using your Echo—you agreed to waive your right to take Amazon to court. Instead, you have to settle any dispute you have with the company behind closed doors and out of the public eye.

Perhaps more troubling: If Amazon ever screws over Alexa users on a large scale, bringing a class-action lawsuit against the company is all but impossible, legal experts say.

Monsanto is finally getting a taste of its own poison

Monsanto is the quintessential evil corporation.

In the 1960s it manufactured Agent Orange, a defoliant–hardcore weedkiller–which the USA used during the Vietnam war. The military sprayed vast swaths of the jungle causing horrible health effects like cancer and birth defects in American veterans and Vietnamese civilians exposed to the chemical.

Then Monsanto brought their products home to the USA and started dumping its poison on the homeland.

Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Roundup, widely used as a weed killer. Monsanto holds patents on gene edited varieties of crops modified to withstand the herbicide while weeds die around them. It is also used to kill wheat plants for easier harvesting.

This means that practically everyone in the USA who consumes mainstream food products is exposed to Roundup.

Banned bread: why does the US allow additives that Europe says are unsafe?

Give us this day our daily foam expander. It may sound odd, but in America, your loaf of bread can contain ingredients with industrial applications – additives that also appear in things like yoga mats, pesticides, hair straighteners, explosives and petroleum products.

Some of these chemicals, used as optional whiteners, dough conditioners and rising agents, may be harmful to human health. Potassium bromate, a potent oxidizer that helps bread rise, has been linked to kidney and thyroid cancers in rodents. Azodicarbonamide (ACA), a chemical that forms bubbles in foams and plastics like vinyl, is used to bleach and leaven dough – but when baked, it, too, has been linked to cancer in lab animals.

Glyphosate exposure found to hike non-Hodgkin lymphoma risk by 41% … and this deadly weed killer chemical inundates our food supply

Natural News has been warning for years that glyphosate – the primary ingredient in Roundup, the world’s most widely used weed killer – causes cancer. Though studies were published in peer-reviewed journals confirming this link, Monsanto was able to use its massive political clout and almost bottomless funds to tear these studies apart and have them refuted.

Slowly but surely, however, the tide has been turning. The first blow fell when the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) announced its findings that glyphosate is “probably carcinogenic” (cancer-causing) in humans, particularly with regard to a type of cancer known as non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Though Monsanto’s friends in the mainstream media immediately tried to attack these findings, the scientists involved are simply too respected in their field to be ignored.

Huawei’s Android Replacement Smartphone OS Will Be Called HongMeng- Report

After Google restricted Huawei’s use of Android for its future smartphones, effectively cutting off Huawei from everything Google other than the Android Open Source Project, new reports from Chinese media have come out with the claim that Huawei’s in-house operating system (OS) for its smartphones will reportedly be called HongMeng.

While it’s been an open secret that Huawei has been working on its own operating system as a contingency plan in case the US-China trade war escalated the way that it now has, apparently, the company has been working on the new OS since as far back as 2012. The reports in the Chinese media are also claiming that the OS is being tested already and will gradually replace Android on Huawei’s hardware soon.

Bayer, Dow, L’Oreal using potentially harmful chemicals illegally – investigation

More than 650 companies are breaking European chemical safety laws, according to an investigation from German environmental group BUND. As a result, potentially harmful chemicals can be found in food, cosmetics, and toys.
“Chemical companies have been disregarding the law for years and getting away with it, selling substances that might cause hormonal cancers, brain disorders and other severe health problems,” said BUND’s chemical policy officer Manuel Fernandez. “EU and national authorities need to raise their game in a big way.”

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) acknowledged that companies have been known to flout chemical safety laws last November, investigating 700 widely used chemicals and finding that two thirds of them broke REACH, the agency’s key safety regulation.

Monsanto’s “Rain of Death” on Canada’s Forests

First Nations in Ontario have run out of patience. The media has turned against Monsanto, and Bayer is now facing a “snowball effect” of new lawsuits from victims of Roundup (glyphosate) exposure

With the acquisition of Monsanto by Bayer, a German corporation linked to the Third Reich and the chemical murder of Jews during the Holocaust, the U.S. media has now turned against Monsanto.

The $2 billion jury award against Monsanto that was just handed down by a California jury has been widely reported by the very same media that, for years, blacklisted any criticism of Monsanto, GMOs or glyphosate herbicide.

They did that because Monsanto ran a “black ops” division that bribed and threatened journalists across the country while keeping a “hit list” of which journalists to pay off or threaten with violence. Bayer has now become aware of this “black ops” division of Monsanto and has publicly apologized for its operation.

Chelsea Manning is jailed AGAIN after telling a judge she would 'rather STARVE to death' than testify before a grand jury investigating Wikileaks

Former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has been sent to jail - again - for refusing to testify to a grand jury.

A judge on Thursday ordered Manning back to the Alexandria Detention Center until she agrees to testify to a grand jury investigating Wikileaks or until the grand jury term expires in 18 months.

Manning, 31, has already served two months in jail but was released last week when that grand jury term expired.

Judge Anthony Trenga was not impressed with her rationale and said that jail time may cause her to reflect differently on the issue.

Manning told the judge that she would 'rather starve to death' than change her opinion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF she does die in jail (and I am hoping this will not happen), the Grand Jury will be unable to bring charges against Assange.

Bayer discovers “black ops” division run by Monsanto, shuts it down, initiates internal investigation as law enforcement prepares criminal charges against the chemical giant

For over a decade, Monsanto has been engaged in building and maintapining “hit lists” of journalists, lawmakers and regulators to be taken out if they opposed the evil agenda of GMOs and toxic glyphosate weed killer chemicals that now inundate the world food supply. Any influential person who opposed the Monsanto agenda was subjected to one or more of the following:

Attempted bribery

Death threats and intimidation

Character assassination through well-funded “negative P.R.” campaigns

Defamation via coordinated Wikipedia attacks, run by Monsanto operatives

Career destruction, such as getting scientists blacklisted from science journals

Being doxxed, having their home addresses publicized and their families and co-workers threatened

In other words, Monsanto has been running a “black ops” division for over ten years, spending perhaps $100 million or more on efforts to silence, destroy or assassinate anyone who interfered with the agricultural giant’s market dominance.

Canadian drug makers hit with $1.1B lawsuit for promoting opioids despite risks

Canadian drug makers enriched themselves at the expense of vulnerable patients by illegally and deceptively promoting highly addictive opioids that have killed thousands in recent years, a proposed class action filed Wednesday asserts.

The untested statement of claim filed in Ontario Superior Court seeks more than $1.1 billion in various damages from almost two dozen companies, including some of the biggest pharmaceutical names in the country such as Apotex, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson and Johnson, and the Jean Coutu Group.

The suit, filed on behalf of patients who became addicted to prescribed opioids, also seeks a declaration that the companies were negligent in how they researched, developed and marketed opioids starting in the 1990s
