China May Boost Iranian Oil Purchases Once US Sanctions Step Into Force - Report

Washington's "comprehensive" package of sanctions against Tehran are expected to kick in this November, but officials say the main target, Iranian crude oil exports, will likely simply be diverted from one group of buyers to another.

A senior US energy official has told The Wall Street Journal that Washington expects China to buy up much of the oil others won't due to the threat of US sanctions. Beijing, according to the official, will likely make the purchases through the same bank it used during the previous rounds of sanctions to get around US penalties.

This includes the Bank of Kunlun Co, Ltd, a bank affiliated with the China National Petroleum Corp with limited exposure to the global financial system. The US has threatened to sanction "everybody, including China" if they purchase Iranian oil once sanctions step into effect.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the US apparently has done, as a fall out from the withdrawal from the P5+1 deal, is to drive Iran, Russia, and China ever closer together, economically, geopolitically, and militarily.

Why does the pathological inability to think a scenario through to its logical conclusion, seem to always infect US foreign policy with such "magical thinking", as to cause things like this to happen?!?

And it is neither a product of purely Democratic, or purely Republican administrations; this critical fault lies in all of them.

Ilargi Meijer : Treason? Get A Life!

Yeah, just keep ’em coming, right, so that when the last one falls flat on its face people will have already forgotten about it and instead focus on the new one. It’s been the modus operandi of the US MSM ever since Donald Trump emerged as an actual presidential candidate, and they haven’t let go.

That Vladimir Putin is an existential threat to the US and indeed the entire western world is a narrative taken straight out of Edward Bernays’ playbook. And it works like a charm. The problem is, it is also the biggest threat to peace anywhere on the globe that we have ever seen since WWII.

Putin is a patriot who came to the fore in mostly unexplained ways, named by American puppet Boris Yeltsin as his successor, only to save his country from US-induced plundering and restore Russia as a functioning country. Far from perfect, but functioning.

More than a million Europeans spoke out to stop internet-destroying censorship rules, but the fight's not over

Ten days ago, the European Parliament dealt a major blow to a radical proposal that would force online services to deploy copyright bots to examine everything posted by users and block anything that might be a copyright infringement; the proposal would also ban linking to news articles without paid permission from the news sites.

The July 5 vote means that the European Parliament will debate these clauses in September. In the meantime, there's a lot of behind-the-scenes scurrying around as members of parliament and giant corporations lay out their forces for the fight in September.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation's Danny O'Brien has written an excellent explainer delving into the process so far and what we can expect next.

FBI: Lisa Page Dimes Out Top FBI Officials During Classified House Testimony; Bureau Bosses Covered Up Evidence China Hacked Hillary’s Top Secret Emails

Former top FBI lawyer Lisa Page testified during two days of closed-door House hearings, revealing shocking new Intel against her old bosses at the Bureau, according the well-placed FBI sources.

Alarming new details on allegations of a bureau-wide cover up. Or should we say another bureau-wide cover up.

The embattled Page tossed James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok and Bill Priestap among others under the Congressional bus, alleging the upper echelon of the FBI concealed intelligence confirming Chinese state-backed ‘assets’ had illegally acquired former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 30,000+ “missing” emails, federal sources said.

The Russians didn’t do it. The Chinese did, according to well-placed FBI sources.

And while Democratic lawmakers and the mainstream media prop up Russia as America’s boogeyman, it was the ironically Chinese who acquired Hillary’s treasure trove of classified and top secret intelligence from her home-brewed private server.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Again, IF these charges are true......they demonstrate, upon discovery, a hopelessly politicized DOJ and FBI.

Situation in Gaza Strip Remains Tense with Little Chances of De-escalation Soon

Protests have been happening for more than two months by Palestinians along the Gaza Strips. Their demands: to be allowed to return home and to have their lands returned after the expulsion from 70 years ago.

Since the beginning of the protests on March 30th, Israeli forces have wounded more than 15 000 people and have killed as many as 135 Palestinians, according to the health officials in Gaza.

The situation in recent months has gone from bad worse, mostly due to the US President Donald Trump recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Palestinians are left to look for international support to stop what it sees as a destruction of its last hopes to defend their interests and to achieve statehood.

The Vlad and Donald Show – A Glorious Blow for Peace!

The Vlad and Donald show in Helsinki Monday was simply brilliant and breathtaking – we’d say even a beautiful thing to behold.

Between them, they left CNN’s nattering nabobs of neocon nonsense sounding like the shrieking monkeys they actually are. And that’s to say nothing of the fools they made out of the newly minted liberal and progressive warmongers on the Dem side of the aisle in Washington or the so-called journalists who fill 90% of the space in the so-called mainstream media with endless pro-war propaganda.

But most of all it was the single greatest blow to the War Party since it turned Imperial Washington into a colossal menace bent on global hegemony when the Soviet Union slithered off the pages of history in 1991.

Pompeo Rejects EU Appeal for Iran Sanctions Exemptions

While Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin says that exemptions from US sanctions against Iran will be considered in certain cases, the European Union is apparently not going to be one of them. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed that he has rejected EU appeals for Iran exemptions.

Senior officials from Britain, France, and Germany have all urged the US not to apply the sanctions to EU nations’ companies when they start going into effect next month. The EU has passed laws rejecting US sanctions, and forbidding their companies from complying with them.

Pompeo and Mnuchin told the EU, however, that they want “unprecedented financial pressure” on Iran, and that they will not ease any sanctions until they see a tangible change in Iranian policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The "drop dead date" for the rest of the world not buying Iranian oil is 4 November, right before the US mid-terms; one has to wonder if this foretells some massive US/Israeli strike against it, if Iranian oil still finds its way to market, to demonstrate President Trump's "butchness" on Iran.

This is a place where I absolutely have a (non-hurting, gentle) punch relationship with the current administration; dropping out of the P5+1 deal, which the IAEA told us was working, was a huge mistake here, and a sop to both Trump's Number One campain Contributor, Sheldon Adelson, and one of his BFFs in the Middle East, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Also, historically, Russia's military and civilian leadership have stated that should Iran be attacked, they would defend it militarily.

Were I President Trump, seeing what Russia accomplished in Syria, I would want to think long and hard, about a potential decap strike against Damascus.

Trump-Putin Summit Ends With Talk of Cooperation, Lawmakers Furious

Negotiations between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded with a joint press conference. The comments by the two revealed, as expected, no major deals were reached, but that some fairly vague plans for improved cooperation were agreed upon.

There were disagreements, with President Putin faulting Trump for the withdrawal from the P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran, and urging Trump to be more decisive in pushing Ukraine toward peace talks with its eastern rebels.

President Trump brought up the issue of election interference, and accepted Putin’s denial. He praised Putin as a strong leader and competitor. He also defended his decision to attend the summit despite calls by US lawmakers to cancel it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As many who read this blog know, I have kind of a "(gentle, not hurting) punch and a hug relationship with this administration.

Yesterday, at Helsinki, I felt proud of a President who understands that his base absolutely doesn't want war with either Russia or China, but wants to find ways of cooperative engagement with both emerging countries and economies.

War, and the fear of war, are what drive the economics of this country's military industrial complex, and they are always most distressed to see the "fear factor" reduced, as I think happened yesterday in Helsinki.

So their mouthpieces in Congress are bashing what looks to me as a positive outcome of the meeting, calling President Trump a "traitor" for having met with Putin, and attempting to put the worst spin possible upon the meeting that they can.

And you have to know that the 12 indictments offered up by Meuller Friday, were simply geopolitical "spin" to attempt to scotch yesterday's meeting; well, that didn't work, and I am very concerned at the level of desperation against President Trump as to how that might play out, either in terms of a potential attempt on his life (remember: political assassinations in this country have been quite common, and Antifa completely legitimizes physical violence against those who don't agree with them), or some kind of geopolitical "coup" with which the Left could declare martial law, and arrest anyone who ever saw anything good in some of what Trump has done, indefinitely.

The legislation, BTW, to allow this to happen, has already been passed by Congress. This Administration Now Has The Power To Indefinitely Detain Americans Without Charge Or Trial

And BTW: this legislation was passed under President Obama's watch, New Year's Eve, 2012.

Judicial Watch Receives New Strzok/Page Records from DOJ

On Friday, government watchdog organization, Judicial Watch announced that it received 87 pages of records from the Department of Justice revealing new communications between embattled FBI Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour, former FBI attorney, Lisa Page.

Emails between the FBI lovers revealed what Judicial Watch describes as their “profanity-laced disdain for FBI hierarchy and policies.”

Judicial Watch filed a motion for preservation order, asking that DOJ prevent Strzok and Page from deleting any “incriminating records of their communications.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

That last bit, about the preservation order, is crucial.

PUTIN DROPS BOMB AT HELSINKI PRESSER: Says US Intelligence Helped Move $400,000,000 to HILLARY Campaign!!

Vladimir Putin: Last year there was one extradition case by the United States… Mueller can use this treaty as an official request to us… in this case this kind of effort should be a reciprical one… For instance we can bring up Mr. Browder… They sent a huge amount of money $400,000,000 to Hillary Clinton!

Putin offered permitting officials in the US, including Mueller, to Russia to assist in their investigation of the supposed Trump-Russia collusion story. Then Putin dropped his bomb where the US could reciprocate Russia in one of their investigations –

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF these accusations prove true (and you can bet that NO ONE in intelligence, justice, or defense in this country wants to touch this with a 5,000 ft. poll), this is absolutely huge.

Comey Calls For A Coup? "Patriots Needs To Reject The Behavior Of This President"

President Trump's language and demeanor at Monday's summit in Helsinki with Vladimir Putin sent his detractors on both sides of the aisle into fits, just 72 hours after the Department of Justice indicted 12 Russian officials for hacking the DNC.

Trump's position has more or less been that peace with Russia is more important than election meddling, which didn't influence the election - and that the United States has been meddling in elections for a long time, so perhaps let's mend fences and move forward as two nuclear superpowers. Also Hillary sold Russia 20% of American uranium after a bunch of people connected to the transaction heavily contributed to her foundation, which was approved by a rubber-stamp committee, four months after Bill Clinton collected $500k in a speech to a Russian investment bank during a trip where he hung out with Putin at his house. All pre-Crimea of course, so no biggie.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A small note to Tyler Durden, whose work I generally appreciate; when it comes to Crimea, sir, you have absolutely "missed the mark", and I will explain precisely why.

This, if you will turn on your mental "way back machine" to the date and time of the spring of 2014, threw the duly elected Yanukovych under the proberbial bus, and "anointed" Poroshenko as President of Ukraine in an election more crooked that is a dog's hind leg.

Even President Obama had to admit that the US took part in structuring the deal to ease Yanukovych out, and get Poroshenko in, because he was, allegedly, more Western-centric, rather than Russian centric.
Washington was behind the Ukrainian coup; Obama admits that US brokered a deal in support of regime change
United States spent 5 billion dollars for anti-government riots in Ukraine

When Crimean officials realized that there was no duly elected government in Kiev, they did two things. First, in a free and fair referendum, post-putsch, they invited their citizens to vote on whether they wanted to stay with Ukraine, or join the Russian Federation; the vote was overwhelmingly affirmative to join the Russian Federation. Then, Crimea petitioned the Russian Federation for membership, and they were granted that membership.

Peaceful self-determination is one of the most treasured elements in the UN charter to which, I believe, the US is allegedly a signatory. But in its anti-Russian agenda, this cannot be allowed to be viewed by the US or NATO as peaceful self-determination, on the part of Crimea, but an annexation by Russia, which never, ever happened here.

Consequently, we have had more Russia bashing by NATO and the US government, coupled with more economic sanctions against it.

So Tyler, before you permanently "swallow the koolaid" on this issue, that Russia annexed Crimea, you need to slow down, and acquaint yourself with the real history here, which you are bending to suit your perspective.

There was no annexation; there was a US-coordinated "regime change", causing Crimean officials to realize that there was no just, representative government in Kiev post-putsch.

Let's do something daring, and deal with reality here, shall we?!?

Company Hikes Price Of "Cadillac" Ambien Nasal Spray By 800% As Drug Companies Defy Trump

While Pfizer and several drugmakers have loudly touted their decision to roll back some price hikes on popular drugs following pressure from President Trump and the rollout of a new California law designed to discourage drug companies from raising prices, others have continued hiking prices of thousands of drugs. According to Raymond James & Associates drug companies have raised prices 3,653 times on 1,045 different drugs so far this year (drug companies often do one round of price hikes in January and another in the early summer). And according to the Wall Street Journal, the biggest price increases have been reserved for so-called "Cadillac" drugs like a new spray form of the sleeping medication Ambien.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Drug companies do this

a: Because they can, and

b: Drug companies spend a lot of money on Presidential campaigns, so they know that the final "slap", once they have raised prices through the roof, will generally be quite mild.

Army Starts Testing "Ironman-Like" Exoskeleton For Future Hybrid Wars

As discussed previously, the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command, or TRADOC, drafted a new strategy for how soldiers will operate, fight, and campaign successfully across multiple domains—space, cyberspace, air, land, maritime—against all enemies (Russia and China) in the 2025-2040 timeframe.

Warrior Maven has confirmed that the Army is literally "gearing up" for decades of hybrid conflict, and in doing so, testing and prototyping self-generating “Ironman-like” soldier exoskeletons. These “breakthrough” suits are designed to transform the combat mission by supporting soldier movements, generating electricity, powering weapons systems and substantially lowering the weight burden of what soldiers carry on the modern battlefield.

The technologies [exoskeleton suits] we are developing can produce electricity, which can be stored and used to power batteries. This increases the longevity of a mission, decreases the need for resupply and reduces the logistics trail,” Sharps explained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"the Army is literally "gearing up" for decades of hybrid conflict" !?!?!?

Dear Lord, if any country on the planet needs a Department of Peace, it is the unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, and right the heck now!!!!

US "Super Spy" Program May Explain Mysterious Diplomat Brain Injuries

Over the past two years there have been increasing reports of supposed “sonic injuries” among US diplomats. First in Cuba and more recently in China. Controversial implications are that the US officials may have been maliciously targeted by a “sonic weapon” in host countries. However, a more likely explanation is that the alleged victims are the result of US attempts to create “super spies”.

Some 250 US diplomats in China are reportedly undergoing neurological medical tests to ascertain if they have succumbed to the same kind of brain trauma diagnosed in other colleagues. A study of 21 diplomats evacuated from Cuba found last year that they had incurred brain injuries, but, it was diagnosed, not from physical impact to their heads.

Some factors so far missing from the subject need to be addressed.

First, it seems strange that the mysterious brain injuries are only reported by US diplomats. No other country has reported similar incidents among their diplomatic staff.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This certainly seems to be an "Occam's razor" approach to the problems presented here, and make far more sense than any of the outrageous charges presented against both Cuba and China.

Mass Migration: "The Fatal Solvent Of The EU"

"Far from leading to fusion, Europe's migration crisis is leading to fission", Stanford's historian Niall Ferguson recently wrote. "Increasingly, I believe that the issue of migration will be seen by future historians as the fatal solvent of the EU". Week after week, Mr. Ferguson's prediction seems to be turning into a reality.

Not only does Europe continue to fragment as anti-immigration sentiment gathers political strength, but, as a result of the migrant crisis, the EU's border-free internal zone, Europe's most cherished prize after the Second World War, is now defined as "at risk" by the Italian government, among other governments, such and Austria.

Immigration is also redefining the intra-EU contract.

The Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, the so called "Visegrad Group", recently called for EU border defense. "We have to have a Europe capable of defending us", Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said as well, after he was invited to join the Visegrad meeting.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problems here are apt to get far worse before they get better.

Of course, one thing which would help enormously, would be the US stopping these wars of conquest in North Africa, Afghanistan, and the Middle East, by way of controlling things like the oil, the rare earth minerals, and (in Afghanistan) the opium, where these wars are causing people to be massively displaced in these areas.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that last one.

Pat Buchanan: "Trump Calls Off Cold War II"

Authored by Patrick Buchanan via Buchanan.org.

Beginning his joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, President Trump declared that U.S. relations with Russia have “never been worse.”

He then added pointedly, that just changed “about four hours ago.”

It certainly did. With his remarks in Helsinki and at the NATO summit in Brussels, Trump has signaled a historic shift in U.S. foreign policy that may determine the future of this nation and the fate of his presidency.

He has rejected the fundamental premises of American foreign policy since the end of the Cold War and blamed our wretched relations with Russia, not on Vladimir Putin, but squarely on the U.S. establishment.

In a tweet prior to the meeting, Trump indicted the elites of both parties: “Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U.S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Even Pat Buchanan makes the revisionist historian mistake with Crimea's choice to align with the Russian Federation, after the 2014 putsch in Kiev.

This, if you will turn on your mental "way back machine" to the date and time of the spring of 2014, threw the duly elected Yanukovych under the proberbial bus, and "anointed" Poroshenko as President of Ukraine in an election more crooked that is a dog's hind leg.

Tripoli – Capital of militias: Armed groups capture the Libyan state

Since the arrival of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli in March 2016, four large local militias have gradually divided up the capital between themselves. Though nominally loyal to the government, they now exert a degree of influence over state institutions and resources that is unprecedented in post-Qaddafi Libya. This Paper examines the rise of a militia cartel in Tripoli, and concludes that the situation is untenable, as it risks provoking a major new conflict over Tripoli fought by those who have been excluded from access to the state and impedes efforts to establish a meaningful unity government. >>

The taxman is to be given ‘shocking’ new powers to trawl bank accounts without the holders being told.

A policy document, published quietly online this week, reveals HMRC wants to be able to keep secret investigations into whether someone is paying the right amount of tax.

Under existing rules, banks and other financial institutions are permitted to notify their customers if tax officials demand access to their bank statements and other financial information.

But as part of a bonfire of safeguards, in future the taxman will be able to draw a veil of secrecy over its investigations.

The True Meaning Of "Collusion" Exposed

he indictment by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose task it is to investigate possible collusion between the Trump campaign and ‘Russians’, that was released yesterday by Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, raises so many questions one has to be picky.

Many people have already stated that the report contains no proof of anything it claims, and that Mueller doesn’t have to prove a thing, because the 12 Russians he accuses will never show up in a US court. Many of course also have at least questioned the timing of the release, 3 days before the Putin-Trump summit in Helsinki, of information Mueller and Rosenstein have allegedly been sitting on for months.

The idea that the event was not coordinated to inflict maximum damage to the summit seems indeed far-fetched.

"Credible" Lisa Page Wows House GOP; Supports Theory FBI Had "Desired Outcome" In Russia Probe

GOP lawmakers were pleased with former FBI attorney Lisa Page's Friday closed-door interview with select House committee members - in sharp contrast to her former FBI co-worker and lover Peter Strzok's Thursday testimony which was mostly a ten-hourtrain wreck.

Mark Meadows: Remarkably, we learned new information today suggesting the DOJ had not notified Lisa Page of Congress' outstanding interview requests for over 7 months now. The DOJ/FBI appear to be continuing their efforts to keep material facts, and perhaps even witnesses, from Congress.

TSA Agents Can Now Grope Travelers Without Fear Of Pesky Lawsuits

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screeners have gained the upper glove when it comes to being sued by travelers subjected to assaults, false arrests or other abuses, thanks to a Wednesday ruling by a federal appeals court.

In a 2-1 decision, the 3rd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia ruled that TSA screeners are not "investigative or law enforcement officers," which shields them from liability under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).

While the judges said they were "sympathetic" to concerns that their decision would leave victims of TSA gropings with "very limited legal redress," the panel ultimately concluded that screeners and security personnel are not covered by the law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Technically, the judges may have been legally correct; but morally right?!?
Heavens, no!!

Anyone who has experienced these gropedowns, as I have, will never forget the feelings of utter violation, about which one is able to do absolutely nothing but smile politely, while in your head, there's a voice screaming, "Don't do anything to make this worse than it already is!!"

This is not about passenger safety; this is about cowing the travelling public into doing any and everything the government wants, and could be called "psychological conditioning", which it its proper name.

CHINA takes control of GOLD from the COMEX

The correlation between Gold and the USD/CNY exchange rate has become clear recently. I first cited the idea of Gold being pegged in yuan terms in February, based on the increasingly narrow range in the Gold/yuan (or “XAU/CNY”) exchange rate. I emphasized this, given what it means for Gold in that USD/CNY becomes a primary driver of the price of Gold in dollars. Now it’s mainstream, thanks to the escalating trade war between the U.S. and China, and China’s response in devaluing the yuan by ~8% in 3 months.

In addition, Jim Rickards pointed out his belief last week that Gold is pegged against the IMF’s currency, the Special Drawing Rights (or “SDR”), and that China and the IMF are coordinating to keep the SDR within a range of 850-950 against Gold.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF China is now directly involved in pricing gold, then the US has already lost the economic war before these various dueling sanctions start to bite, and big-time.

Dianne Feinstein Loses California Democratic Party Endorsement To Upstart Progressive

The wave of far-left and socialist candidates triumphing over long-serving establishment figures continued Saturday night as former California state senate leader Kevin de Leon defeated Sen. By winning, De Leon joins Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and a handful of other left-wing candidates, many of whom were endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America, in a wave of victories that are pushing the Democrats further and further left ahead of the 2018 midterms.

Rosenstein not smiling anymore after House Republican’s spotted with his impeachment docs

Two House Republicans are seeking to file impeachment documents against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as early as Monday, according to Capitol Hill sources who spoke with Politico.

Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows, both members of the House Freedom Caucus, take issue with both the deputy attorney general’s poor handling of the Russia investigation and his lack of transparency.

Rosenstein, who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller’s scandal-plagued probe into alleged Russian collusion and was the official who named the FBI veteran to lead the probe last year, has repeatedly stonewalled requests from congressional Republicans for access to documents pertaining to the investigation.

Rosenstein has also made brazen attempts to protect FBI agent Peter Strzok, a former Mueller team member who’s been outed as a virulently anti-Trump zealot.

The attorney AG was grilled by Jordan during a heated congressional hearing held late last month.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have a sense that the whole "Russiagate" thing is about to explode like a bad trick cigar in Hillary Clinton's face, and she and her minions like John Podesta, will rue the day they ever hatched this plot, to get rid of Trump before the 2020 elections, so she could stand, unapposed, by any Republican of substance.

And BTW, Friday's indictments will most probably not lead to prosecutions; the timing was simply to put a monkey wrench into the Putin/Trump meeting tomorrow in Helsinki.

Students in Nicaragua trapped in church amid gunfire by pro-government militias

Dozens of Nicaraguan university students remained trapped inside a Catholic church early Saturday as pro-government militias fired for hours overnight in the vicinity of the church and police sealed off the neighborhood.

The students — along with priests, doctors, journalists, and other civilians — spent a harrowing evening under siege inside the Church of the Divine Mercy, hemmed in by gunfire. At least seven injuries were reported, primarily gunshot wounds. Late Friday, police permitted one convoy of ambulances to drive the wounded to a nearby hospital but kept the rest of the students penned inside.

STUDENT DEBT BUBBLE EXPANDS AS PARENTS DO MORE OF THE BORROWING

Not so long ago, student debt was mostly the responsibility of students. That is, you paid for college with loans and then paid off those loans with the proceeds of the good job you got with an advanced education.

These days it’s a little different. The cost of higher education is soaring, the jobs available to college grads don’t pay as much, relatively speaking, as they used to, and the size of loans available to students – though huge – don’t cover the full cost of many degrees.

One might expect these changes to lead more students to work for a few years and save up, or choose a cheaper degree, or eschew college altogether (as a lot of successful people now recommend) and substitute work experience for a diploma.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The costs of college have become insane, and do not always guarantee a great-paying job.

Kids going into college, and the families which love them, need to educate themselves about the fundamental changes in work, which will drive the future's jobs.

A major in feminist history, coupled a minor in world-wide spiritual practices, is not going to get you a job this part of the 21st century, unless you are willing to get a PhD, where the only thing you will be able to do is teach, and the field is going to be swarming with similar candidates.

NEIGHBORS REPORT CHILD TRAFFICKING AND FIND GOV’T CONTRACTORS HOLDING KIDS IN ‘BLACK SITE’ PRISON

When concerned neighbors called police because they believed dozens of children were being trafficked in their neighborhood, they learned that the children were actually being held in a black site prison operated by defense contractors.

A vacant office building with dark windows in a quiet neighborhood has become a subject of controversy after residents began documenting the dozens of children who were transported to the building in white vans, and then never seen again.

The building is not licensed to hold children or to act as a shelter, and it is owned by MVM Inc., a defense contractor that once provided guards for CIA facilities in Iraq and has made nearly $250 million transporting immigrant children since 2014, according to a report from Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's get some facts straight here at the the get go.

First, let us look at the 2016 Flores Settlement Agreement, and how family seperation has been used by previous administrations.

Fact Sheet: Family Seperation at the US/Mexico border

The article goes on to state:

"According to a 2016 federal court decision, the Flores agreement applies both to children accompanying their parents, as well as to unaccompanied children. Accordingly, children cannot to be detained with parents in facilities made for adults and unequipped to properly care for children. And, even in family detention facilities specifically designed to detain parents and children together, federal courts have interpreted the Flores agreement to require that children be detained no more than 20 days.

However, the ‘zero-tolerance’ policy has rapidly evolved into separation of parent and child at the border. This is because parents are arrested at the border and criminally charged with illegal entry. Due to these criminal charges, protocol does not allow the child to be kept with the parent because the child is not criminally prosecuted.

What is family detention?
Family detention is the practice of holding immigrants families together in immigration detention. In practice, family detention facilities house mothers with their children, including babies. Fathers are detained at separate facilities.

Both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations used family detention to detain thousands of families at facilities specifically designed to house children. Immigration and children’s advocates have raised significant due process concerns with family detention, as well as the negative long-term impacts detention has on children."

Of course, no one would have thought to protest against President Obama's having done this; that... would definitely have messed with his "cool factor" as president. So the press barely mentioned it. Of course, after the 2016 election, anything Trump does, good, bad, or indifferent, is fair game for an attack.

Unless and until there is clear Congressional legislation on illegal immigration, and better border control from the American side, this mess will continued, unabated.

Australia has a very draconian, merit-based immigration policy; but it is one that is working brilliantly for them. Perhaps the US government could learn a lesson here; of course, that presupposes that Congress is capable... of learning anything.

WHITE HOUSE PUSHES WARRANTLESS SURVEILLANCE BILL, AND WE MUST STOP IT

Last week, DHS secretary Kirstjen Nielsen celebrated US independence by publishing an op-ed in the Washington Post calling on Congress to pass an Orwellian surveillance law. The measure, Senator Ron Johnson’s “S.2836 – Preventing Emerging Threats Act of 2018,” would enable the government to arbitrarily shoot down drones, and wiretap communications without warrants. The bill was heard before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, which reported it out of committee favorably in mid-June. In a letter to lawmakers, the ACLU called the proposal “an enormous unchecked grant of authority to the government to forcefully remove drones from the sky in nebulous security circumstances.” It must be stopped.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pretty soon, should this law be passed, the only unsurveilled form of communications available to Americans will be cowering under a blanket, using flashlights, and sign language.

This country used to be "The land of the free, and the home of the brave."

It has, with all the draconian surveillance in place, and legislation passed since 9/11, become the unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika, "the land of the surveilled, and the home of the cowed."

AFTER TRUMP PUSHED NATO MEMBERS TO SPEND MORE, LOCKHEED DOUBLES PRODUCTION AS ORDERS “EXPLODE”

After a “very intense” summit with leaders of NATO member states earlier this week, U.S. President Trump has claimed that he has managed to secure commitments from the European leaders of NATO member countries that will see them increase their military spending.

On Wednesday, Trump allegedly told NATO leaders that if they did not meet their defense spending targets of at least 2 percent of gross domestic product by next January, the United States would consider withdrawing from the alliance, prompting an emergency NATO summit. After the emergency meeting, Trump told reporters, “I told people that I’d be very unhappy if they didn’t up their financial commitments substantially.”
Though some European leaders later claimed that an agreement to increase spending among member nations had not been reached, many of those same leaders asserted that their nations “must” spend more on their militaries and funding of NATO operations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Was this last NATO summit an economic triumph for LOCKEED?!?

Absolutely.

Was this last NATO summit a triumph for peace?!?

HELL, NO!

EVIDENCE WILL PROBABLY NEVER BE PRODUCED IN INDICTMENTS OF ‘RUSSIAN AGENTS’

The indictment of 12 Russian ‘agents,’ which included no collusion with Trump’s team, is essentially a political and not legal document because it is almost certain the U.S. government will never have to present any evidence in court, reports Joe Lauria.

Charges against 12 Russian intelligence agents for allegedly hacking emails from the Democratic Party during the 2016 presidential election were announced by the U.S. Justice Department on Friday at the very moment President Donald Trump was meeting Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle and just days before a summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.

A central claim of Russia-gate has been that the Russian government with help from the Trump campaign stole emails from the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign and then gave those emails to WikiLeaks for publication to damage Clinton’s quest for the White House.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This story confirms what we said yesterday on WRH: the charges are completely unsubstantiated in fact, and only serve to attempt to sour the atmosphere in front of the Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki on Monday.

GAZA ESCALATION: 40 ISRAELI AIRSTRIKES OVERNIGHT, HAMAS MORTARS, FIRES IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL

Tensions along the Israel-Gaza Strip border escalated dramatically on Saturday with an intense exchange of fire between Palestinian militants and Israeli security forces, including Israeli air force strikes inside Gaza, which reportedly targeted underground tunnels which Israel says are designed to launch attacks.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) cited 31 rockets fired from the Strip overnight to which Israel responded with airstrikes on 40 targets including Hamas' battalion headquarters, in a flare-up of hostilities officials are calling the biggest attack since Operation Protective Edge in 2014. Amazingly, however, no serious casualties were reported on either side, according to Bloomberg.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Anyone with any sensitivity to what is going on here had to know this was coming; it was only a question of when.

I frankly to not expect these IDF attacks to stop any time soon, as this may be the prelude to the utter destruction of Gaza, and all the people living here.

15-minute video: Expert economics professor explains banks create ‘money’ as Orwellian-opposite: debt created out of nothing and owed back to them with interest. Monetary reform + public banking answers with debt-free money + non-profit credit

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

I last wrote on monetary reform and public banking with Wall Street insider Nomi Prins with her new book, Collusion: How central bankers rigged the world, interviewed by USAWatchdog.com's Greg Hunter for 28 minutes.

Now, here’s 15 minutes from The Monetary Institute’s "Our Money, Our Banks, Our Country - Money Creation in the Modern Economy" conference held in Zurich, Switzerland on February 5, 2018 from Professor Richard Werner, Chair in International Banking, University of Southampton to explain what all economic courses teach, but few consider:

What we use for money is its Orwellian opposite: debt created out of nothing and owed back to private banks with interest.
The consequences of these mathematical mechanics of creating negative numbers forever is increasing and unpayable total debt, with accelerating interest costs that can only and always increase until tragic-comic collapse of the system.

Is Hillary Clinton secretly planning to run in 2020?

The messages convey a sense of urgency, and are coming with increasing frequency. They are short, focused reactions to the latest “outrage” committed by President Trump.

Some end by asking for money, some urge participation in protests. All read as if they are sent from the official headquarters of the resistance.

Hillary Clinton is up to something.

It's all starting to make sense: the Russian collusion is now the Russian Hillary hacking, the Guccifer indictment suppresses the Seth Rich murder investigation, at least until after the 2018 mid-terms. Meanwhile, the FBI thumbs its nose at Congress, Jeff Sessions in MIA, and Obama builds his Antifa Alinksy Army. With the Deep State MSM teeing off on Trump. Hillary sees another opportunity to become President and take us to Armageddon against Russia for the Satanic oligarchy.

Sea Breeze 2018: Who Wants To Disrupt Strategic Balance In The Black Sea Region?

The US-led series of drills in and around Ukraine’s Black Sea coastline is part of NATO exercise Sea Breeze that kicked off on July 9 to last until July 21. The training event involves an international armada representing 19 countries, including such non-NATO states as Ukraine, India, Georgia, the United Arab Emirates and Moldova. All in all, 29 warships, 1 submarine, and 25 aircraft are involved in the exercise held in Odessa and Mykolayiv and the northwestern Black Sea region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This exercise does not augur well for peace in the region.

London Mayor Slams Trump For "Normalizing" Far-Right Groups

While President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met the Queen for tea, London Mayor Sadiq Khan bashed the president in an interview and accused him of "normalizing far right groups" in an interview with Bloomberg.

Asked why Trump singles him out for criticism instead of other mayors of cities in the UK and elsewhere in Europe where there have been terror attacks, Khan said it's for Trump to explain why he singles Khan out for criticism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mayor Khan, a word, please: as a Christian pacifist activist, who constantly exhorts her government to get what it wants through honest, moral, hard won negotiations rather than through wars, I am hardly to be considered any member of a "far right" group, and as a peace advocate, am no darling of either the Democrats or Republicans, as they are both owned by the Deep State and military industrial complex.

But what President Trump has seen and critised, on your watch as mayor of London, is your "normalizing" the escalating violence there, due to uncontrolled immigration consisting of people who don't particularly like Brits in the first place.

What you have on your hands, sir, is a "culture war" between the original, hereditary inhabitants of London, and the immigrants, which has been unduly punctuated with bloodshed, generally on the part of these immigrants.

You were elected, sir, to take care of ALL the citizens of that beautiful and extraordinary city, which is London, and you have to roll up your sleeves, and get that job done.

I visited London on a College Abroad tour in 67; but right now, with things as they are, I would have grave, and reasonable, reservations about going there now, under any circumstances.

Massive Blasts Kill 128 Ahead Of Pakistan Elections; Ousted PM Arrested At Airport

The deadliest terror attack in over a year has rocked Pakistan as bombs went off at two campaign rallies in different cities. The massive death toll climbed by the hour throughout Friday after a suicide bomber struck a convoy headed to an election-related event in Mastung near the southwestern city of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan Province.

Pakistani authorities said 128 were killed and over 150 wounded in a suicide attack reportedly claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS).

Some observers have noted that the spot is close to where Pakistani forces had previously claimed to have eliminated an ISIS base in the province.

Judicial Watch: FBI Begins Releasing Strzok-Page Communications, DOJ Objects to Preservation Order

Judicial Watch announced today that it has received 87 pages of records from the Department of Justice revealing former top FBI official Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page’s profanity-laced disdain for FBI hierarchy and policies. The DOJ, meanwhile, is resisting Judicial Watch’s request for a court order to preserve all responsive Page-Strzok communications.

Strzok and Page’s anti-Trump text messages became center-stage amid allegations of bias at the Bureau, and both have been subpoenaed to testify before the House Judiciary and the Oversight and Government Reform Committees.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents through a January 2018 Freedom of Information (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the DOJ failed to respond to a December 4, 2017, FOIA request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00154)). The lawsuit is seeking:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope that Judicial Watch will get everything for which it has asked, but seriously doubt that they will.

The degree to which the DOJ has been politicised and biased, is just sickening to watch.

Lieberman calls to shut down Israeli Embassy in Ireland over boycott bill

Defense minister says Israel should not 'engage with Israel's oppressors' after Irish Senate passes bill with overwhelming majority to criminalize Israeli imports from West Bank, setting Ireland on path to be first EU country to do so.

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman called on Thursday for Israel to shut down the Israeli Embassy in Dublin in response to the Irish Senate voting overwhelmingly to approve a proposal to boycott companies and imports of goods from the West Bank settlements, a move that Israel warned Dublin not to implement in January.

"There is no point in summoning the Irish ambassador to Israel for a reprimand … We will not engage with Israel's oppressors. Israel should close immediately its embassy in Dublin," Lieberman tweeted. "We won't turn the other cheek to a country which boycotts us."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice the absolute embeddedness of victimhood in Lieberman's statements, when it is generally the Palestinians getting clobbered, indefinitely detained, and losing what homes they have through Israeli eviction practices!!

But what Lieberman is really sweating here, is that this movement could, potentially spread like wildfire through the EU; and that is what he is desperately trying to prevent.

However, I believe that this call will not be met with any good grace by the Irish, or the rest of the EU; chances are, if Israel pulls its embassy from Dublin, it will be seen as good riddance by both the Irish government and the Irish people, who know a thing or two about opposing tyranny, and claiming the right to self-determination! :-)

Israel to impound Gaza flotilla ships to benefit terror victims

A Jerusalem court issues temporary confiscation order for 2 Norwegian ships planning to sail to Gaza; if they are intercepted and towed to an Israeli port, their value will be paid to terror victims families as compensation.

The Jerusalem District Court issued a temporary confiscation order Wednesday for two Norwegian ships set to partake in a solidarity flotilla to Gaza in the coming weeks.

The court order allows for the Karstein and Freedom, worth approximately 75,000 euros, to be used for monetary compensation for victims of Hamas terrorism the moment they enter Israeli waters.

Organizers of the flotilla say that if they succeed in reaching Gaza they will donate the ships to civilian organizations and local fishermen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Expect the flotilla to be impounded in international waters, and the peace activists on board to be severely injured by the IDF.

Palestinians on high alert as Israel prepares to hand over East Jerusalem nature reserve and Muslim cemetery to settlers

Just outside the walls of the Old City in occupied East Jerusalem, a years long demographic battle between the Israeli state and Palestinian residents of the city has found new life in recent weeks.

Right-wing settler NGO Elad, also known as the City of David Foundation, celebrated a win last week when the Interior and Environment Committee of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, advanced a bill that would allow for the construction of Jewish settlement housing to be built inside areas zoned for national parks within municipal boundaries.

The bill, which was introduced last year, proposed that settlement construction be allowed inside the boundaries of archaeological national parks where a “neighborhood” had existed before the park was declared, referring to conglomerates of Jewish settlers living on Palestinian land.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How painfully typical of Israel; this is precisely what you can expect from a wretchedy apartheid, self-proclaimed theocracy with nuclear weapons, which wants territory, and by any means necessary.

Trump’s Criticism of NATO Ignores the Real Questions

Donald Trump’s bluster at the NATO summit only has to do with money, not whether the alliance serves any genuine security purpose, says Jonathan Marshall.

The usual NATO summit begins and ends with U.S. and European leaders issuing platitudes about the unbreakable bonds between Western democracies. The two-day summit that began Wednesday is not the usual NATO summit. President Donald Trump came to Brussels armed with a barrage of insults and Twitter blasts against his ostensible allies.

Trump Administration: We Can Keep Guantanamo Prisoners Locked Up For 100 Years

The U.S. has the authority to keep prisoners locked up at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp for a century without charging them with a crime, as long as the U.S. keeps fighting terrorist groups like the Taliban, al Qaeda or its affiliates, the Trump administration argued in federal court on Wednesday.

According to the administration, it is impossible to put a time limit on how long the men at Guantanamo will remain imprisoned— some of them have already been held for more than 16 years without charge — because it’s impossible to know how long the fight against various terrorist groups will continue.

Senior U.S. District Judge Thomas Hogan asked what the government would do if the conflict lasted 100 years. Justice Department lawyer Ronald Wiltsie responded, “Yes, we could hold them for 100 years.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am appalled by Ronald Wiltsie's statement here, and that this administration would take this position.

Because this means that more endless wars are being planned by this government, to conquer more resources, which are ultimately the reasons for people doing violence against the US government, and its troops in foreign countries.

Declaration: NATO to Stay in Afghanistan ‘Until Conditions Change’

NATO’s summit has ended with a new declaration issued on the war in Afghanistan, some 17 years from the initial invasion. The declaration committed NATO troops to remain in the country for an indefinite amount of addition time.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg says that the goal is “lasting peace and reconciliation,” and the declaration said NATO troops would remain in Afghanistan “until conditions change.” The declaration also committed to subsidize the Afghan military through at least 2024.

There is no timetable for conditions changing, and 17 years in the situation has if anything gotten progressively worse. Though the declaration made vague reference to “progress” on the ground, the Pentagon has made similar claims, and US officials have admitted that the lack of progress is likely to lead to another round of strategy reviews.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a Jean-Luc Picard double facepalm, upon reading this; and more "magical thinking" on the part of NATO, isn't going to help the situation, either!!

This reminds me of a classical definition of insanity, where someone does precisely the same thing, in precisely the same way, yet expects a different outcome.

‘If Iran can't export oil no-one in Middle East will,’ Tehran warns

Iran has threatened to block the Strait of Hormuz, a vital artery for oil shipments from the Middle East. The warning comes in response to the US, which is trying to cut off Iranian crude exports.

After pulling out of a landmark international deal curtailing Tehran's nuclear program, Washington has ordered countries to cease buying oil from Iran by November 4 or face secondary US sanctions. Major European energy corporations like France's Total have already pulled out of Iran.

Iran's supreme leader's senior adviser for international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati said his country will retaliate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Nothing ambiguous here!

But there are moments when I wish our very communicative President wouldn't attempt to threaten allies over not importing Iranian oil, and give that ultimatum a "drop dead" date, which I believe, is 4 November.

Trump presses allies to quit importing Iranian oil by November 4

So what happens on November 5th?!? Is President Trump going to attack every single ally which did not stop importing Iranian oil?!?

Or is that the planned start of a military attack against Iran itself?!?

I think it would make sense to start paying attention to large US troop movements in the Middle East right after Labor Day this year.

And Mr. President, please be aware; Russia has historically pledged to protect Iran should it be militarily attacked.

We have seen just how well Russia's weaponry performs in Syria; are you really serious about going to war against Iran, understanding that it will be supported by Russian troops and Russian hardware?!?

I would like to think not, please, Mr. President: at this time in its history, the US military does not have the weaponry; the troop strength; the manufacturing; or the money to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war in Iran against Russia.

NATIVE AMERICANS WHO PROTESTED DAKOTA ACCESS GET HANDED THE LONGEST PRISON SENTENCES

Among the hundreds of people arrested in North Dakota for protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, Native Americans faced the most serious charges. More than two years after the protests began, federal judges are now handing down lengthy prison sentences to the protesters.

One of the Standing Rock activists, Red Fawn Fallis, was sentenced Wednesday for her role in a shooting incident during the protests. As part of a plea deal, the 39-year-old will serve the longest prison term of any Dakota Access protester: four years and nine months in federal prison for one count of civil disorder and one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon.

The legal owner of the gun Red Fawn is alleged to have fired was a paid FBI informant named Heath Harmon, a 46-year-old member of the Fort Berthold Reservation in western North Dakota, The Intercept reported last December.

5 OF THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL MOMENTS FROM PETER STRZOK'S CHAOTIC TESTIMONY TO CONGRESS

On Thursday, Peter Strzok finally received his well-deserved congressional grilling, and it was quite a chaotic affair. Over nearly ten hours, there were shouting matches between Strzok and congressional Republicans, there were shouting matches between Republicans and Democrats, and there were quite a few moments that none of us will ever forget. It was a joint hearing of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees, and the meeting room was absolutely packed. More than 70 members of the House were in attendance, and many came ready with some very pointed questions.

We are in a struggle for the soul of our government, and if we ever hope to turn things around we have got to clean out swamp creatures such as Peter Strzok. I believe that Thursday’s hearing was certainly a step in the right direction, and hopefully Congress will do much more to restore our faith in the integrity of our law enforcement agencies.

How the Islamic State Gets Its Drones

A new report from West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center explained how Islamic State build its drone fleet on the cheap and also the fascinating story of its complicated supply chain. “The program appears to have been shaped by two Bangladeshi brothers who leveraged companies in the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, and Spain,” the report said. The brothers created a number of shell companies to order the drones and ship them to Islamic State’s various affiliates across the world.

At the peak of the drone attacks in the spring of 2017, coalition forces were working to pry Mosul out of the hands of the Islamic State in northern Iraq. At the time, the Islamic State was conducting between 60 and 100 drone powered bombing runs a month. A member of the Syrian Defense Forces told a journalist for France 24 in Raqqa that his supply lines were being attacked 15 to 16 times daily.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As those of you know who read this blog, as a Christian pacifist activist, I absolutely abhor violence as a way of resolving geopolitical differences, and I never advocate for it.

That being said, I can understand why violence like this can seem reasonable to those the US government has disenfranchised, and why people can become radicalized in the way these brothers became.

For over the last 20 years, in its wars of conquest in the Middle East, Like Iraq (and unfortunately soon, I fear, Iran), Afghanistan, and Libya, the US government hasn't at all been "the good guy" here; these wars have been fought to expropriate natural resources, like oil, opium, and Rare Earth minerals; insure that the governments of said countries are US-centric; and that the currency in which these resources are sold, is only in US dollars.

The consistent flow of relatively cheap oil lubricates the economic mechanisms in the Western world.

When Karl Marx made the observation that all wars are econonic in their origins, he was absolutely correct.

When people see their loved ones getting assassinated, as frequently happens in places like Yemen and Afghanistan; when they have no power to determine the destiny of their homeland; when leadership is corrupt, and the only thing they have to lose are their lives, which aren't worth a heck of a lot to begin with, the turns toward both radical fundamentalism, and a desire for revenge, against what is frequently a faceless enemy, rebounds in hearts, minds, and souls, and with a monstrous appetite.

In the TV series "Westworld", the guests can do what they will with the hosts, no matter how horriific and vile those actions are toward them, including raping and killing, and these actions have no consequences; the hosts can simply be reprogrammed, and their memories are wiped in order to perform another day. But when those hosts become conscious of what has been done to them, the tables get turned, and suddenly the guests, and the masters of this place, become targets, with frequently brutal outcomes.

In the real world, wars for resources always have real consequences, particularly when people get "nominally conquered" because of those resources, but no matter how many are killed or maimed, do not become "pacified", as has not happened, and probably will not happen, with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

The combination of angry, smart, sophisticated, and in turn ruthless against their aggressors, kicks into play, just as it did for these brothers.

Consider the film "Avatar", where the Navi outthink, and outsmart, and ultimately, successfully kick the collective backsides of their would-be conquerers, off the planet, because the costs, in blood and money, have become too extreme for the mining consortium to consider staying.

So how does the US government avoid creating terrorism against it, both at home and abroad?!?

And I hope, please, that all of the alphabet soup agencies, monitoring this site, are paying attention here.

First, I would like to politely point out that this country is producing some of the finest engineering, and scientific minds, on this planet.

Secondly, there should be a Federal Government Challenge/Prize on the development of a post-fossil fuel, post-atomic, renewable energy.

The schools and individuals who have partnered to develop this should be handsomely rewarded financially, perhaps in perpetuity, to insure the continued development of the technology.

Third, this can never be allowed to be purchased to be suppressed by any private corporate entity, and any attempts by a private entity to do this should result in both stiff fines, and jail time for those signing off on the attempt.

Forth, the patent for this renewable energy resouce should remain solely as belonging to the United States of America, and all proceeds from the use by other countries or corporate entities would go to continue funding the program, and for the repair of public infrastructure, which is in desperate need of repair, but for which no state or Federal governmental agency has the funds to do.

I would like to assure my readers that in my world, this is neither Quixotic, nor blue-sky thinking; it is possible, doable, and we, as a nation, are imminently capable of doing this. Remember just how soon the notion of flight led to the creation of passenger jets, and how soon that led to space exploration.

The problem here is a US government, which collectively,, at this juncture in the 21st century, does not believe that the costs, in blood and money, of these wars for resources, have become too excessive to continue, when both morally and economically, these wars already... have become just that.

AS GOV’T FAILS CITIZENS, ELON MUSK PROMISES TO FIX LEAD CONTAMINATION IN FLINT HOMES

- When a Twitter user openly challenged Elon Musk and questioned whether he was capable of providing clean water to residents in Flint, Michigan, he responded and pledged his commitment to the cause, which sparked a campaign to help the citizens who have been neglected by local and state governments.

The clean water crisis in Flint began in 2014 when the city’s local drinking water was changed to a cheaper source, which was not sufficiently treated, and more than 100,000 residents were exposed to alarmingly high levels of lead in their drinking water.

After four years and an abundance of media coverage, there are still residents who are subjected to contaminated drinking water, and it has become obvious that the local government has no plans to provide the help its citizens need. The Twitter user who reached out to Musk, wrote, “I heard a bunch of people saying there’s NO WAY you could help get clean water to Flint, Michigan. Said you wouldn’t be capable idk.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope Musk puts his good faith, energy, money, where his tweets are; it is an absolute abomination on the part of the city officials in Flint, Michigan, and the state apparatchiks in Lansing, that they have not fixed the problems here by now.

But unfortunately, Flint is a heavily distressed neighborhood, mired in both poverty, and a great need for public assisance, so it was, and is, considered "expendible" by the State officials in Lansing.

Everyone who signed off on this change of water sourcing should be doing hard time in prison. Unfortunately, however, that is not going to happen until pigs discover that they are aerodynamic.

POLL: 75% OF ARABS SEE ISRAEL, US AS BIGGEST THREAT TO SECURITY

A new poll published by the Arab Centre for Research and Policy Studies has revealed that 75 per cent of Arabs see Israel and the United States as the biggest threats to national security.

The Arab Opinion Index surveyed over 18,000 individuals in 11 Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Mauritania. The poll conducted face-to-face interviews with the respondents, asking them questions on a range of topics including economics, immigration and attitudes towards regional politics and democracy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the actions of the US and Israel in the Middle East over the last 20 years, can you blame Middle Eastern Arabs for feeling this way?!?!?

GUCCIFER WAS RUSSIA. U.S. CHARGES 12 RUSSIAN INTEL OFFICERS WITH HACKING DNC

BREAKING: Grand jury has returned an indictment against 12 members of Russian intelligence, charged with hacking into the DCCC, DNC, and Hillary Clinton's campaign, and orchestrating the release of documents to interfere with the 2016 election.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please be aware that Meuller tried this before, in February of this year
Russians Indicted by Meuller for Election Interference

The only difference was, they actually showed up for their day in court
Well sure, we filed an indictment. And yeah, we took a victory lap in the big bells-n-whistles Main Justice press conference. But that doesn’t mean we, like, intended to have a trial . . .

That seems to be the Justice Department’s position on its mid-February publicity stunt, the indictment of 13 Russians and three Russian businesses for interfering in the 2016 election.

The article goes on to state:

"(a) In appointing Mueller on May 17, 2017, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein failed to comply with federal regulations that control special-counsel investigations; and

(b) The secret August 2 memo, by which Rosenstein attempted to paper over this dereliction, is so facially uninformative and heavily redacted that the subjects of the investigation, the courts, and the public are still in the dark. The factual basis for a criminal investigation is still unknown, as are the boundaries of Mueller’s jurisdiction — with Mueller’s prosecutors paying lip service to the notion of limits, even as they argue that, essentially, there are none.

Judge Ellis was ornery with prosecutors at Friday’s hearing (Power Line’s Scott Johnson has posted the transcript here). He was particularly blunt about two other issues we’ve repeatedly highlighted:

(1) The two Manafort indictments (the one in Virginia and the other in Washington, D.C.) have nothing to do with the special counsel’s mandate to probe Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, so one can only conclude that Mueller is squeezing Manafort, the former campaign manager, to get him to cooperate against President Trump; and

(2) Mueller’s investigation is really about seeking a basis to impeach Trump.

This has been the strategy all along; to have President Trump out of office, so that (back, baby, back baby, BACK!!) Hillary Rodham Clinton can clinch the prize of the presidency literally unapposed by any Republican who would run against her in 2020.

And the timing of these indictments?!? Well, let's see; isn't President Trump supposed to be meeting Putin in Helsinki on Monday?!? That drove the timing here, absolutely.

FACEBOOK USERS MARKED WITH "TREASON" LABEL

Beleaguered social media giant Facebook has removed "treason" from their database of the keywords assigned to users for advertising purposes, the company stated Wednesday after Danish state broadcaster DR reported its existence.

Company spokesman Joe Osborne replied "National treason was an advertising interest because of its historical significance, but as it is an illegal act, we have removed it."

Facebook tags its more than 2 billion users with a wide variety of keywords depending on their interests - from shopping habits to political and religious views in order to sell more efficiently targeted advertising.

This makes Facebook a sublime sales channel for companies. Categorizing users in areas of interest means that companies with ads on Facebook can buy into an almost perfect audience. Eg. garden equipment for people with special interest in gardens, etc.

But categorization also allows intelligence services in all countries to look at the population over the shoulder.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian Pacific activist, who constantly exhorts her government to resolve its geopolitical differences through moral, hard-won negotiations, rather than through the activation of bombs and bullets, I am fairly certain I would have been on that list; in fact, I would be insulted to find I had not been included because of my peace activism over the years. :-)

MULTIPLE COPS INDICTED FOR POLICY OF FRAMING INNOCENT BLACK PEOPLE TO MAKE DEPT LOOK GOOD

A former police chief and several officers have been indicted for falsely charging a black teenager with four burglaries just to show village leaders that they are good at “solving” crimes. While the indictment reads like a Hollywood movie script about bad cops, it’s only the tip of the iceberg in a deep cesspool of corruption that is the Biscayne Park Police Department.

A scathing report from the Miami Herald details that on multiple occasions, former chief Raimundo Atesiano told his cops to target random black people and charge them with crimes in open cases so they could boast their clearance rate — which is defined as the amount of open cases solved by the department.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Attorney General Sessions, where the hell are you when police, nation-wide, keep committing these kinds of egregious crimes, yet you keep lying to the American people by insisting that there is a "war on police officers"?!?

Sir, a logical examination of the facts here would indicate that these behaviours by the Biscayne Park police, prove, incontrovertibly, that the absolute, polar opposite is happening here.

13-minute video: Q-Anon + ‘Great Awakening’ explained. Me: until 40,000 sealed federal indictments = .01% arrests including Bushes, Clintons, Obama, etc., it’s just another day of US illegal rogue state empire

*hyperlinks/videos live at source*

hat tip: Kauilapele’s Blog

From November 2017 until the end of June 2018, 40,483 sealed federal indictments are entered and waiting to be unsealed.

With repetition of what I wrote in April 2018 when the total was 25,000 (and here for artistic portrayal of either White or Black Hat designs):

Sealed Federal criminal indictments average ~1,000 per year, according to research by US federal courts. 40,000 in eight months seems to mean:

1) .01% arrests for ongoing illegal rogue state empire annually killing millions, harming billions, and looting trillions, OR
.01% patriot arrests for the rogue staters to remove voices in alternative media too close to revealing the facts (.01% = ~30,000 Americans), OR
2) just another disinformation rogue state PSYOP to waste Patriots time and energy, OR
3) who knows?

Nicaragua's Daniela Ortega Leads Violent Clampdown amid Fears of Coup, Civil War

The forces used live ammunition to fire on the demonstrators, causing an unknown number of injuries, local human rights activists told the DPA wire service. Mr. Ortega celebrated the assault as “good news for trucks and trailers.” He noted dryly that “traffic in that zone has been normalized.”

Since April 19th, 386 Nicaraguans have died from political violence, over 2,00 0ahve been seriously injured, and several hundred are still missing. Nicaragua only has a population of 6 million.

Facebook was tagging some users as 'interested in treason' – guess who media said would misuse data?

It has emerged that Facebook used a "treason" tag to mark some of its users. When Danish media reported that FB had since discontinued the label, it also decided to single out only ‘evil Russians’ as possible abusers of the data.

The US social media giant effectively labeled tens of thousands of people all over the world as "interested in treason" for the sake of … advertising, Danish public-service broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR) reported on Wednesday, explaining that "treason" was one of the tags used by Facebook's automatic algorithm to identify, for advertisers, its users' interests.

It is unclear how long the social network had been using the controversial tag as well as how many users were affected by it. However, when the Danish media contacted Facebook to draw its attention to the disturbing discovery, the US company promptly admitted that the tag was "troubling" and proudly said as it already deleted it a week ago.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This practice was breathtakingly terrifying; But what if the practice comes back, with which to "tag" peace activists who are simply logically and responsibily documenting the failings of their governments?!?

Amnesty International Calls for Investigation Into UAE Torture in Yemen Prisons

Human rights group Amnesty International has accused the United Arab Emirates and Yemeni forces allied with them against the Houthi government of torturing detainees at a number of secret prisons in the south of Yemen, calling for a war crimes investigation.

The UAE, along with Saudi Arabia, the US, supported by allies in Yemen and others, have been engaged in bitter war against the Houthis since they seized control of the government in the capital of Sana'a on September 21, 2014.

The United Nations estimates that more people will have died by the end of 2018 as a result of the conflict than Jews died during the Holocaust, primarily noncombatant deaths due to practices of forced famines, although a cholera outbreak resulting from destruction of infrastructure from bombing campaigns has also taken many lives. In addition, a number of men have been disappeared by Emirati and Yemeni militias "operating outside the command of their own government," AI said in a report Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Such an investigation will happen only... when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

ALERT: “This Happened Prior To 6 Of The Last 7 Recessions”

“This less-followed indicator has a good enough relationship with recession risk during the last 50 years that it should not be ignored,” warned Jim Paulsen, Leuthold’s chief investment strategist, in a note to clients this week.

Having warned last week that “it’s been too quiet, for too long,” Paulsen now sees the potential catalyst for the market’s next move as low-rated investment-grade credit spreads blow out beyond an historically crucial level.

As Bloomberg reports, for the first time since just prior to the 2007-2009 recession, premiums on the lowest-rated tranche of investment-grade U.S. corporate bonds have risen to 2 percent after being below that level, according to data compiled by the Minneapolis-based research group.

The analysis looks at the gap in yields between corporate debt rated Baa by Moody’s Investors Service and those on 10-year Treasuries.

Watch Live: Hearing Devolves Into Chaos After Strzok Refuses To Answer Questions

Kimberley Strassel
?
@KimStrassel

90-minute takeway from Strzok hearing: Democrats have forged new strategy for shutting down oversight. Interrupt, call points of order, argue over points of order, demand recorded votes, eat up time, protect the witness. Hope Republicans are taking notes.

Strzok hearing has devolved into shouting match between Democrats and Chairman Goodlatte. Nadler trying to adjourn the hearing, as R's criticize Strzok for not answering questions. Strzok says he's been instructed by FBI counsel not to answer. Goodlatte insisted that Strzok must answer since he is appearing under subpoena. Strzok replied that he was instructed by FBI attorneys not to answer questions about an ongoing investigation (Gowdy had asked Strzok how many people he interviewed during the summer of 2016 in connection with the nascent Trump probe).

Webmaster's Commentary:

These hearings have just scraped the bottom of the political barrel, and I am absolutely disgusted with the way in which the Democrats are behaving here.

It is apparent that they don't care what the optics of these hearings look like, ahead of midterms this year, as long as they can continue their "Gotcha!" political game.

"This Is A Very Scary Scenario": Restructuring Legend Warns Of Coming "Perfect Storm"

Two months ago, we brought to your several very concerning quotes from some of the nation's top restructuring bankers, of which the most dire warning came from Bill Derrough, the former head of restructuring at Jefferies and the current co-head of recap and restructuring at Moelis who admitted that: "I do think we're all feeling like where we were back in 2007. There was sort of a smell in the air; there were some crazy deals getting done. You just knew it was a matter of time."

What he is referring to is not just the overall level of exuberance, but the lunacy taking place in the bond market, where CLOs are being created at a record pace, where CCC-rated junk bonds can't be sold fast enough, and where the a yield-starved generation of investors who have never seen a fair and efficient market without Fed backstops, means that the coming bond-driven crash will be spectacular.

‘They Bombed Trapped Civilians’: Amnesty’s Damning Report on UK, US, France Destruction in Raqqa

UK, US, and French bombs inflicted mass loss of civilian life in ISIS-held Raqqa, according Amnesty International. A new report has also accused coalition forces of bombing areas where they knew civilians were trapped.

During the four-month operation to eradicate the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the US-led coalition – which includes British forces – killed hundreds of civilians and injured many more, says Amnesty International.

According to its damning report into the coalition forces, residents were trapped as fighting raged in the streets between IS militants and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who were supported by coalition airstrikes. Escape routes for civilians were riddled with IEDs, put there by Islamic State, which also positioned snipers to shoot those trying to flee.

Webmaster's Commentary:

More US, French, and British war crimes, this time in Syria.

The Starving Children of Yemen

Henrietta Fore of UNICEF reports on the appalling conditions in Yemen:

As Fore reminds us, a Yemeni child dies from preventable causes every ten minutes. That adds up to almost 50,000 dead children every year in a war that has dragged on for more than three years. These children are perishing because of starvation created by the Saudi coalition blockade and bombing campaign and from outbreaks of preventable disease that the blockade and bombing campaign have made much harder to combat. The blockade impedes delivery of essential food and medicine and makes them prohibitively expense for most people in a country whose economy has been devastated.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember; the US government and military are complicit in the Saudi genocide and war crimes in Yemen.

How does it make you feel to understand that you are a citizen of a country complicit in war crimes?!?

I must tell you; it makes me physically ill to understand this. And as a Christian Pacifist Activist, as long as I have breath in my body, I will continue to peacefully witness to what is going on here.

And here are images of what is happening in Yemen, ultimately supported by your tax dollars, and committed in your name.

Images, 2018: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition

Please take a good hard look at these images; then please send this link to your Congressional Representatives, and tell them (peacefully and politely) that you can no longer support US war crimes in Yemen, or those Congressional Representatives who support this.

They understand that this is going on; but now, they need to learn that we also understand now what is going on, and are peacefully and politely asking your Congressional Representives to stop it.

European Powers Prepare to Scrap Dollar in Iran Trade as Disgust with “America First” Policies Mount

As Western capitals brace themselves for Wednesday’s two-day NATO summit, Iranians and Europeans alike are hoping EU leaders can finally put their money where their mouth is and unshackle themselves from U.S.-imposed hegemonic bondage.

While the White House’s frenzied anti-Iran campaign has entailed unprecedented attempts to twist the arms of the United States’ traditional European allies, the pressure may be backfiring – a reality made all the more clear by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s claims that Europe’s three major powers plan to continue trade ties with Iran without the use of the U.S. dollar.

The move would be a clear sign that the foremost European hegemons – France, Germany, and the United Kingdom – plan to protect the interests of companies hoping to do business with Iran, a significant regional power with a market of around 80 million people.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When the very bright people who comprise the IAEA tell me, and the world, that Iran is completely in compliance with the P5+1 agreement, I would tend to believe them.

This coming sidlining of the US dollar by Europe and Iran in their trading, is yet another unintended consequence of President Trump's withdrawing the US from the treaty.

And what is President Trump going to do to stop this, literally go to war with every country trading with Iran, including Russia?!?!?

That... would be absolute madness.

But unfortunately, just because a move the US government could make is the most ham-fistedly, big-headedly stupid move it could make, is utterly no guarantee that it won't do it.

NATO Summit Declaration. Hostile to Russia, Signed by All Member States

Following day-one of July 11 and 12 summit talks in Brussels, NATO issued a declaration, signed by all member state leaders, including Trump and Turkey’s Erdogan.

It’s unacceptably hostile to Russia – “accusing us of provocative activities and…gnashing its teeth,” according to its Foreign Ministry.

The lengthy declaration, prepared ahead of the summit, accused Russia of occupying Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. It turned truth on its head claiming Moscow “illegitimate(ly) annex(ed) Crimea.” A further litany of Big Lies about Russia followed.

The summit declaration criticized Moscow’s legitimate defensive military activities in its own territory, threatening no one – unlike US-dominated NATO, threatening world peace and stability, waging endless wars of aggression against sovereign nations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but has everyone who signed this large piece of genuine, bonafide codswallop gone collectively barking mad?!?

I would suggest that every single one of the signatories desperately needs a psychiatric evaluation, and right the heck now, for continuing to accuse Russia for doing things it has not done, and then punishing Russia with sanctions for accusals which have absolutely no basis in fact.

But what I am sensing, as I read these bold-faced lies represented in this Declaration, is the coming of a US/European war against Russia.

I cannot tell you when; but the tone of this Declaration seems to make the avoidance of such a war a near-impossibility.

I am hoping like hell that Trump will be able to defuse this during his meeting with Putin, but I am certain that the US Deep State will attempt to prevent this (a stance for peaceful cooperation between the West and Russia) from actually happening.

British PM Wants Trump to Confront Putin at Upcoming Summit

Since the planned Trump-Putin summit was announced, NATO nations and other US allies have been expressing serious concerns, fearing that Trump is liable to make deals to improve US-Russia relations, and undermine NATO’s recent years of hostility toward them.

While most are just complaining, British Prime Minister Theresa May took a different tack on Wednesday. She endorsed the idea of a summit, while demanding Trump use it as a chance to confront Russia over its “malign activity.”

May was in particular hopeful that Trump would highlight the British allegations of Novichuk poisoning on British soil. She also mentioned “Kremlin-linked cyber attacks,” without specifying what the Kremlin was actually accused of doing.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WHAT "malign activity"?!? Would Prime Minister May care to articulate that to those people who cannot see it whatsoever, like me?!?

Porton Downs Research Labs cannot prove that the nerve agent which poisoned two Russian ex-pats in Britain, then allegedly killed another woman more recently, is actually related to Novichuk, or identify from where it came.

So Prime Minister May, let me politely suggest to you that you had better have your facts both transparent, and in order, before you urge President Trump to bring those accusations to the Summit in Helsinki on Monday.

US Embassy in Haiti requests more Marines, security personnel amid violence

The U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, has requested additional security personnel including Marines as the Haitian capital has been gripped by days of protests over a government plan to raise fuel prices and cut food subsidies, according to multiple reports.

A request made by the embassy includes a Marine Security Guard Augmentation Unit consisting of about 13 Marines and other personnel to reinforce existing embassy security, CNN reported Tuesday.

The request has been approved by Trump administration officials, the network added.

Staff at the embassy have been instructed to shelter in place by State Department officials, and a travel advisory urging U.S. citizens to stay away from the airport unless absolutely necessary was issued Tuesday afternoon.

SOROS-FUNDED NONPROFIT’S YOUTUBE CHANNEL GETS A PASS ON COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT ALLEGATIONS

Right Wing Watch, a left-wing nonprofit aimed at exposing the “extreme agenda” of conservatives, owns a YouTube channel that consists entirely of other people’s videos, yet after several copyright disputes, YouTube has yet to delete the channel.

The nonprofit is owned by People For the American Way, which is funded by George Soros’ Open Society Initiative. The Daily Caller News Foundation review of the Right Watch’s channel found that of the almost 450 videos, not one of them appears to be its own original video.

This by itself would not be a problem if Right Wing Watch provided commentary to the clips they upload, but the channel is completely void of it. The videos are simply clips of other, many times copyrighted, videos.

Videos Right Wing Watch often re-uploads include from channels like Fox News, InfoWars, small Catholic television networks, and various popular conservative personalities on YouTube.

Hey, apparently being George Soros means never having to say you're sorry... even if what you are doing is wildly illegal!!

After Bailing on Subpoenaed Testimony, House Judiciary Chairman Threatens to Hold FBI Attorney Lisa Page in Contempt

Embattled FBI Attorney Lisa Page was expected to testify behind closed doors on Capitol Hill today, but failed to comply with a congressional subpoena by refusing to show up.

According to her attorney, Page wasn't given ample time to prepare for the hearing. She was expected to answer questions about her relationship with FBI Agent Peter Strzok and a series of text messages from 2016 about stopping Donald Trump from winning the White House.

"Through her actions and words, Lisa has made it abundantly clear that she will cooperate with this investigation. There is no basis for claims that Lisa has anything to hide or is unwilling to testify. The [House Judiciary and Oversight] Committees' bullying tactics here are unnecessary. We expect them to agree to another date so that Lisa can appear before the committees in the near future," Page's attorney, Amy Jeffrees released in a statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wouldn't bet against Ms. Page having already done the due dilligence on those countries which do not have an extradition treaty with the US, and is off and running in a private jet to "Get out of Dodge."

IRELAND’S SENATE APPROVES BILL TO BOYCOTT ISRAEL GOODS

Yesterday’s bill passed primarily due to votes from opposition and independent legislators. It had originally been proposed by independent Senator Frances Black who spoke before the vote and brought Palestinian farmers to be present in the Seanad for the occasion.

She said:

In the occupied territories, people are forcibly kicked out of their homes, fertile farming land is seized, and the fruit and vegetables produced are then sold on Irish shelves to pay for it all. These settlements are war crimes, and it’s time for Ireland to show some leadership and refuse to support them.
