Google Approves App For Muslims To Report People Who Commit Blasphemy

A new Android app has launched with the focus of allowing Muslims to report individuals who commit blasphemy, or insult Islam.

No, this is not a joke. The app, “Smart Pakem”, which launched in Indonesia last month at the request of the Indonesian government, will allow users and government officials to uphold Sharia law and target and report people who hold “misguided” beliefs in violation of Islamic law, which forbids insults of Islam, insults against the Prophet Mohammed, or the recognition of any other religion besides Islam.

The twisted logic of the Jewish ‘historic right’ to Israel

Even when I believed, mistakenly, that the "Jewish people" was exiled by the Romans in 70 C.E. or 132 C.E., I didn't think that this conferred on the Jews some sort of imagined "historic right" to the Holy Land. If we seek to organize the world as it was 2,000 years ago, we will turn it into one big madhouse. Why not bring Native Americans back to Manhattan, for example? ... As I pursued my research, my realization that the Exodus from Egypt never happened and that the inhabitants of the Kingdom of Judah were not exiled by the Romans, left me nonplussed. There is not one study by a historian who specializes in antiquity that recounts that "exile" or any serious historiographic study that reconstructs a mass migration from the place. The "exile" is a formative event that never took place

An Ohio court had issued a warrant for the arrest of 77-year-old Hendricks, who has been living in the Philippines for 37 years, Bureau of Immigration spokeswoman Dana Sandoval said Thursday.

Holocaust: Dutch rail firm NS to pay families compensation

The Netherlands' state-run rail company NS has agreed to set up a commission to compensate Holocaust survivors and their relatives for transporting Jews to a Nazi transit camp. Its decision to "learn, honour and remember in an enduring way" followed a campaign by Salo Muller, whose parents were murdered at Auschwitz. Some 107,000 Jews were taken to Westerbork and deported, mainly to deaths camps at Auschwitz and Sobibor. Only 5,000 survived. NS said it had decided to avoid a legal battle, years after French rail company SNCF was ordered to pay compensation for its role in deporting 76,000 French Jews during World War Two. SNCF eventually apologised for its role in 2010, and later agreed a compensation fund after US lawmakers threatened to bar the state-run company from rail contracts.

Ukraine police raid three Russia-linked Orthodox churches

The Ukrainian police have raided three Orthodox churches aligned to Russia amid mounting political and religious tensions between the two countries.

Police and security services also searched the homes of priests who had declared their allegiance to the Russian branch of the Orthodox Church, regional police spokeswoman Alla Vashchenko told AFP on Monday.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church was recently granted independence from Moscow in a controversial ruling that prompted cheers from Kiev but anger in Moscow.

The raids on churches in northern Ukraine were part of a probe into the possible violation of a law on equality of religious belief, the spokeswoman said without providing details of the investigation.

"Nobody has been arrested," Vashchenko added.

But Archbishop Kliment Vecherya, a spokesman for the Russian-aligned Ukrainian church, compared the raids to the crackdown on religious freedoms during the early Soviet period.

Jewish leaders call for new editions of the Bible and the Koran to carry trigger warnings highlighting anti-Semitic passages

Jewish leaders are calling for new editions of the Bible and Koran to carry warning messages which highlight anti-Semitic passages in the holy texts. The recommendations have been made in a new document called 'An End to Antisemitism! A Catalogue of Policies to Combat Antisemitism'. It was produced following an international conference organised by the European Jewish Congress, at which academics gathered to discuss how prejudice and discrimination can be tackled. Among the policies mentioned in the document was the idea of warning messages in holy texts, a topic discussed in a chapter entitled 'recommendations regarding Religious Groups and Institutions.'

US State Dept Paid $25 Mil Bribe to Patriarch of Constantinople to Foment Religious Chaos in Ukraine

Bartholomew has a shady past - he is also implicated in embezzling $10 million from a project to rebuild an Orthodox church near ground zero in Manhattan, destroyed on 9/11... Bartholomew is close to the Clintons... Was $25 million in American tax dollars allocated for a payoff to stir up religious turmoil and violence in Ukraine? Did Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko (unsuccessfully) attempt to divert most of it into his own pocket? Last month the worldwide Orthodox Christian communion was plunged into crisis by the decision of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I in Constantinople to recognize as legitimate schismatic pseudo-bishops anathematized by the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which is an autonomous part of the Russian Orthodox Church. In so doing not only has Patriarch Bartholomew besmirched the global witness of Orthodoxy’s two-millennia old Apostolic faith, he has set the stage for religious strife in Ukraine and fratricidal violence – which has already begun...

Lest we forget: Bygone lights shining on our dark present

Atheist United Church minister keeps her job; 'heresy trial' called off

A United Church minister who had faced an unprecedented ecclesiastical court hearing over her professed atheism is no longer in danger of a defrocking after the two sides reached an agreement in the long-running case.

In an unexpected development this week, Rev. Gretta Vosper and the church settled ahead of what some had dubbed a "heresy trial," leaving her free to minister to her east-end Toronto congregation.

"It's going to be wonderful," Vosper said in an interview Friday. "We'll be out from underneath that heavy cloud. Now we'll be able to really fly."

The settlement, the terms of which are confidential, came during what was supposed to be a week of routine preliminary motions ahead of the full hearing later in the month.

Survivors call Vatican telling US bishops to wait on abuse ‘totally unacceptable’

Following Monday’s shock announcement that the Vatican has requested the U.S. Catholic Bishops to delay voting on new standards for bishop accountability, survivors of sexual abuse and bishop accountability activists decried the move as “totally unacceptable.”

Terence McKiernan, co-director of BishopAccountability.org, called the move a “preemptive strike” by the Vatican against U.S. bishops as they seek to respond to the current crisis of sexual abuse and its cover-up “in a modest way.”

Peter Isley, a survivor of clerical sexual abuse who now works with the organization Ending Clergy Abuse, said the decision from the Vatican effectively means, “We care more about our organization and our princely titles and positions” than enacting measures of accountability.

Vatican orders US bishops to delay taking action on sexual abuse crisis

The Vatican has told the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to delay voting on measures to hold bishops accountable for failing to protect children from sexual abuse, the president of the conference said in a surprise announcement Monday morning.

In his announcement, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo said he was “disappointed” by the Vatican’s decision, which he said he learned of on Sunday afternoon. Pope Francis met with his ambassador to the United States, Archbishop Christophe Pierre, on Saturday, according to the pope’s public schedule.

Pierre is in Baltimore and addressed the body of bishops on Monday morning, though he did not mention the Vatican’s insistence that the US bishops delay their vote. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops gathers about 200 bishops from around the country twice a year to debate and adopt new policies.

Muslims Shouting About Killing Jews Interrupt London Event

As about 20 Muslims interrupted a vigil, some brought up an event from early Islamic history, when Muhammed’s followers killed, injured, and displaced crowds of Jews from the town of Khaybar.

A vigil organized by pro-Israel activists in London’s Hyde Park, famous for being a free speech area, appeared to be severely interrupted and then dispersed altogether by men shouting anti-Jewish chants in Arabic, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.

A few dozen people waving Israeli flags with candles in their hands gathered there ahead of the so-called Kristallnacht remembrance day, commemorating victims of the Nazi pogrom of 1938, as well as Jews killed and wounded across the Arab world.

Joseph Cohen, an Israel advocacy Movement campaigner, was filming the event when 20 men chimed in shouting:

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very grateful to be living in a "rainbow state", where people do not judge others by their faith, but what they do with their lives.

And to the guys who thought disrupting this event was a "great idea", actually, no, it sure as heck was not.

Blaming, accusing, and disrupting an event is easy; working with each other, in a dignified and respectful way that leads to moral, responsible conflict resolution, is the hardest thing in the world to do.

And yet, that is what we must commit ourselves to doing at this part of the 21st century, if we want there to be a future for humankind.

The Fraud of 'Antisemitism' and 'Hate Speech' | exposed by Righteous Jews [Dave Rubin & Milo]

"Anti-Semitism is the same kind of bogus thing as crying racism and crying sexism... We do run everything. Facts can't be racist. Jews are vastly overrepresented in the media; vastly overrepresented in banking... My mother is Jewish so according to Jewish law I'm Jewish... They know the jig is up... These people know; it's starting to dawn on them. They are starting to get the message that saying 'racist' is not going to shut people up anymore. It doesn't shut me up. Now you've got to come with facts."

Federal Land Transfer: Privatization of America's Wealth

Wherever you see a politician or lobbyist who is in favor of transferring public lands out of the federal domain, you will likely see a certain map created and is distributed by the American Lands Council, a Utah-based group that is dead-set against the federal land estate.

Washington state lawmaker Matt Shea defends advocacy for ‘Holy Army’ as Spokane sheriff refers his writings to FBI

Washington state Rep. Matt Shea acknowledged Wednesday he had distributed a four-page manifesto titled “Biblical Basis for War,” which describes the Christian God as a “warrior,” details the composition and strategies of a “Holy Army” and condemns abortion and same-sex marriage.

The document is organized in 14 sections with multiple tiers of bullet points and a smattering of biblical citations. Under one heading, “Rules of War,” it makes a chilling prescription for enemies who flout “biblical law.”

After the document was leaked online Tuesday, the Spokane Valley Republican insisted he was not promoting violence and that the message had been taken out of context.

Breaking with tradition

Did the events depicted in the Bible really take place, and did the people mentioned really exist? In their popular book The Bible Unearthed: Archaeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Sacred Texts, archeologists Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman refuted the biblical portrayal of the exodus from Egypt. In their new [2007] book David and Solomon: In Search of the Bible's Sacred Kings and the Roots of the Western Tradition, they have some surprising things to say about two key biblical figures, David and Solomon ... In their book, Finkelstein and Silberman claim that the kingdoms of David and Solomon did not exist as they were described in the Bible.

The Rock of our Existence

With the coming of the Zionists to Palestine, a frantic archeological search started. The country was combed for real, scientific proof that the Biblical story was not just a bunch of myths, but real honest-to-God history ... From the beginning of the effort to this very day, not a single piece of evidence of the ancient history was found. Not a single indication that the exodus from Egypt, the basis of Jewish history, ever happened ... Even if one would like to believe that the Bible only exaggerates real events, the fact is that not even a tiny mention of the exodus, the conquest of Canaan or King David has been found. They just did not happen.
Note: 75% of the founders of Israel had never set foot in Palestine nor had any of their ancestors. Fact.

Bishop: ‘Europe Is Being Islamized’ Because the Church Is Asleep

An African bishop in Rome for the synod of bishops has decried the lethargy of European Christianity, saying that it opens the door to an “Islamic invasion.”
In an interview Tuesday with the U.S.-based National Catholic Register, Andrew Nkea Fuanya, the bishop of Mamfe, Cameroon, said that the synod has been ignoring Europe’s low birth rates to its own peril.

The synod fathers have not discussed Europe’s demographic implosion, which is “a very big thing” for youth, Fuanya said.

“And I will dare to say that, especially with the backdrop of the Islamic invasion, if you look through history, where the Church slept, got diverted away from the Gospel, Islam took the advantage and came in,” he said.

As in the case of many African bishops, Fuanya has seen what radical Islam looks like up close. Cameroon borders with Nigeria and Chad in the north, forming a triangle that has been the epicenter of much Islamic terror at the hands of Boko Haram, an affiliate of the Islamic State.

Wall of Holocaust Denial Begins to Topple: Aboriginal Museum is Forced to Display Evidence of the Canadian Genocide

For the first time in Canadian history, a public museum will exhibit evidence which makes reference to overtly genocidal policies by both the churches and government of Canada towards indigenous people, including in the deadly Indian residential schools.

Relying primarily on the research gathered by Rev. Kevin Annett in his book Hidden No Longer: Genocide in Canada, Past and Present (2010, www.hiddennolonger.com), the aboriginal advisory committee of the new Peel Region Heritage Museum in Brampton, Ontario convinced the Museum designers, Vilnis Cultural Design Works, to establish a display that shows that genocide, according to the United Nations’ definition of the crime, did occur in the Indian residential school system.

The schools were established and run jointly by the Vatican and the Crown of England in 1834, and continued until 1996. According to government statistics, nearly half of the 150,000 children in these schools died because of treatment and conditions there.

Jean-Marie Le Pen praises French Holocaust denier following his death in Vichy aged 89

Robert Faurisson, the first Frenchman to be convicted of Holocaust denial, has died at the age of 89. Over several decades he became his country's most notorious revisionist, having contested Anne Frank's Diary's authenticity and defended French wartime leader Philippe Petain for collaborating with Nazi Germany ... Faurisson was convicted numerous times from 1981 to 2016 repeating his revisionist comments and writings ... Jean-Marie Le Pen, who founded the far-right National Front party, said he had fought for free expression. "Faurisson is a symbol of the way free speech has been criminalised in this county," Mr Le Pen said in a statement after his death was announced. "The State went through great lengths to silence Faurisson for decades." France passed memorial laws which outlaw Holocaust denial in 1990.

On the subject of the Nazi gas chambers, Jean-Marie Le Pen recently stated: "If you take a thousand-page book on the Second World War, the concentration camps occupy two pages and the gas chambers ten or fifteen lines, and that's called a detail." He might have brought up some even harder hitting and more precise arguments, and referred to Eisenhower, Churchill, de Gaulle, Elie Wiesel, René Rémond, Daniel Goldhagen, and even the text of the Nuremberg Tribunal judgment. ... In this mass of writing, which altogether totals 7,061 pages (not including the introductory parts), published from 1948 to 1959, one will find no mention either of Nazi "gas chambers," a "genocide" of the Jews, or of "six million" Jewish victims of the war.

French Courts Punish Holocaust Apostasy: Le Pen, Faurisson, Garaudy Fined for 'Holocaust Denial'

Those who challenge the Western world's most important social-political taboo -- on the Second World War treatment of the Jews -- are routinely punished for their apostasy. France's Fabius-Gayssot law of July 13, 1990, makes it a crime to "contest" the "crimes against humanity" as defined by the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal of 1945-46 ... Faurisson and Le Pen are hardly the only ones whom Jewish groups and French officials have targeted for expressing skepticism of the officially sanctioned version of 20th century history. Other victims include Philippe Costa, Alain Guionnet and Fabrice Robert. Between July 1990 and January 1993 alone, the Fabius-Gayssot law had already been applied 27 times.

Religious Vegan Parents Convicted in Starvation Death of Son

Nearly five years after religious parents starved their toddler to death, a jury found Jennifer and Jeromie Clark guilty of criminal negligence causing death. The jury in Calgary, Canada also convicted the parents with failing to provide the necessities of life-related to the child’s death. At the time of death, the child suffered from a rash, gangrene, hypothermia, and a staph infection. Jennifer and Jeromie Clark, Seventh Day Adventists, had never taken the child to see a doctor. They only brought 14-month-old John to the hospital the day before he died. The parents starved the child to death with a strict vegan diet.

According to multiple reports, in November 2013, Jennifer and Jeromie Clark brought their son, John, to a local hospital. Doctors that treated John testified he had blisters on 70% of his body, gangrene on four toes, hypothermia, and a staph infection.

Which way to Mecca? Turkish imam finds faithful had been praying in wrong direction for 37 years

“The government can’t force its employees to get its permission before they engage in free speech,” said Kevin Theriot of the Alliance Defending Freedom, which represented Cochran in his lawsuit. “It also can’t fire them for exercising that First Amendment freedom, causing them to lose both their freedom and their livelihoods.”

Biggest split in modern Orthodox history: Russian Orthodox Church breaks ties with Constantinople

In the biggest rift in modern Orthodox history, the Russian Orthodox Church has cut all ties with the Constantinople Patriarchate, effectively splitting from it after it granted independence to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The Holy Synod, the governing body of the Russian Orthodox Church, has ruled that any further clerical relations with Constantinople are impossible, Metropolitan Hilarion, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church’s External Relations Department, told journalists, de facto announcing the breaking of relations between the two churches.

Pakistan: Thousands of Muslims rally to demand death for Christian woman accused of blasphemy

Several thousand protesters hit the streets of Pakistan calling for the Christian woman accused of insulting Islam be put to death. Asia Bibi would become the first person executed for blasphemy if her appeal fails.

The Pakistani city of Lahore was the center of Friday’s protests, which were organized by the anti-blasphemy party Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP). Demonstrations also took place in a number of other cities across the country, including Karachi and Rawalpindi.

The rallies came after Pakistan’s Supreme Court heard the final appeal of Bibi, a Christian laborer accused of blasphemy against the Prophet Mohammed in 2009 by Muslim women she was working with in a field.

Priest speaks out, criticises Catholic Church's handling of historic sexual abuse allegations

A Central Otago priest has broken his silence by criticising the Catholic Church's handling of historic sexual abuse allegations.

Alexandra parish priest Fr Vaughan Leslie said the church's response, within New Zealand and overseas, had helped fuel the "abuse crisis" now engulfing the church.

It had failed to remove men from ministry when credible complaints were received, and "misguided protectionism" had occurred "at the expense of truth and justice", he said.

The response also highlighted the need for culture change within the church hierarchy, here and overseas, to put an end to a situation in which "in-groups of clergy hold all the reins of power".

"I speak out because I love the Catholic Church, but not always the way she is run.

Outside In: The Trump administration’s plan to remake the Middle East

The only promise that is new about the promised peace plan is the way it will be forced on the Palestinians: no one has promised that the plan itself will be new. With Saudi Arabia and Egypt—the outside—brought onside with the promise of continued military aid despite their crimes against humanity and violations of international law and the Palestinians weakened by being silenced, economically crushed and stripped of any friends to help them, the United States and Israel are now free to attempt to impose a peace plan on the Palestinians.

Large Christian Cross Pulled Down Because It Could Be “Offensive” To Muslim Migrants

The cross, which was erected on the cliffs of Apellia, beneath the castle of Mytilene, was toppled after a group claiming to promote “intercultural coexistence” said it was an insult to migrants who had drowned in the sea and may cause offense to those swimming nearby.

Lesbos has been at the epicenter of the migrants crisis, with hundreds of asylum seekers still arriving every week, prompting angry clashes.

Pope accepts resignation of American cardinal in sex abuse scandal

Pope Francis accepted the resignation Friday of Washington Cardinal Donald Wuerl after he became entangled in two major sexual abuse and cover-up scandals and lost the support of many in his flock.

But in a letter released by Wuerl’s office, Francis praised his longtime ally and suggested Wuerl had unfairly become a scapegoat, having made some “mistakes” in handling sex abuse cases, but not having covered them up.

With the resignation, Wuerl becomes the most prominent head to roll in the scandal roiling the Catholic Church after his predecessor as Washington archbishop, Theodore McCarrick, was forced to resign as cardinal over allegations he sexually abused at least two minors and adult seminarians.

A Vatican statement Friday said Francis had accepted Wuerl’s resignation, but named no replacement; Wuerl’s office provided the letter in which the pope asked him to stay on in a temporary capacity until a new archbishop is found.

TURKISH COURT FREES US PASTOR BRUNSON AFTER 2YRS IN JAIL

A Turkish court will release imprisoned US pastor Andrew Brunson, who was jailed for alleged terror links following 2016’s failed coup attempt. Brunson’s arrest has soured US-Turkish relations, with Trump pushing for his release.
Charged with terrorism offences, the court handed down a sentence of 3 years and 1-1/2 month sentence for the evangelical Christian pastor on Friday. Despite the verdict, the court also ruled that the US man would not serve any further time as he had already been detained by authorities since October 2016.

This Is Why Christmas Is on December 25

The history behind how Christmas came to be celebrated at the end of December may have little to do with the actual date of Jesus's birth.

With holiday decorations popping up in stores before kids have finished their Halloween candy, it may be hard to imagine that Christmas wasn’t always celebrated on December 25. But it wasn’t until about three centuries after the birth of Jesus that Christians began commemorating it as a holiday on December 25th.

Witches plan to put a Hex on Justice Brett Kavanaugh

Witches plan to place a public hex on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh through an occult ritual on Oct. 20 in New York City, an event sponsored by Catland Books, which describes itself as “Brooklyn’s premiere occult bookshop & spiritual community space.” The planned ritual has been advertised on Facebook.

“Please join us for a public hex on Brett Kavanaugh, upon all rapists and the patriarchy at large which emboldens, rewards and protects them,” reads the description for the event, “Ritual to Hex Brett Kavanaugh.”

“We are embracing witchcraft’s true roots as the magik of the poor, the downtrodden and disenfranchised and it’s history as often the only weapon, the only means of exacting justice available to those of us who have been wronged by men just like him,” reads the description.

“He will be the focal point, but by no means the only target, so bring your rage and all of the axes you’ve got to grind,” states Catland.

Kamikaze from California

The cult of the Holocaust retains a unique, court-enforced prohibition against any investigation that might cast a doubt on its sacred dogma ... Ron Unz, this kamikaze of critical mind from California, has stepped on the third rail knowingly, in full awareness of the consequences. He did not stop at doubting the established mantra, he also published and made available to readers and internet users some more important books on the subject ... Whether the Holocaust narrative is based on sterling facts or on exaggerations, it is good to reject it. Even if the 'deniers' are factually wrong (let us presume it for the sake of argument), they are still right with their conclusions. And Ron Unz had made an important contribution for the benefit of mankind by his publication.

American Pravda: Holocaust Denial

For decades, Hollywood has sanctified the Holocaust, and in our deeply secular society accusations of Holocaust Denial are a bit like shouting "Witch!" in Old Salem or leveling accusations of Trotskyism in the Court of the Red Czar ... As an outsider exploring this contentious topic I think it far more likely than not that the standard Holocaust narrative is at least substantially false, and quite possibly, almost entirely so. Despite this situation, the powerful media focus in support of the Holocaust over the last few decades has elevated it to a central position in Western culture. I wouldn't be surprised if it currently occupies a larger place in the minds of most ordinary folk than does the Second World War that encompassed it, and therefore possesses greater apparent reality.
Note: The holocau$t legend is proclaimed to be an historical event. As such it should be researched and examined in detail and continually for accuracy.

Kim Jong-un Invites Pope Francis to North Korea

Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, which has been condemned as one of the worst suppressors of religious freedom in the world, has invited Pope Francis to visit his country, South Korea’s government said Tuesday.

The invitation will be relayed by South Korea’s president, Moon Jae-in, a Roman Catholic, when he visits the Vatican for two days next week to seek the pope’s help in easing tensions on the divided Korean Peninsula, said Kim Eui-kyeom, a spokesman of Mr. Moon.

Mr. Moon met with Mr. Kim in Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, last month.

“If the pope visits Pyongyang, we will give him a rousing welcome,” Mr. Kim told Mr. Moon, according to Mr. Moon’s spokesman.

Swedish church pushes for neutral gender reference to Jesus

A church in a Swedish city has defended its choice of gender-neutral pronoun ‘hen’ in reference to Jesus in an advertisement. The church insists the word gives “new perspective.”

In November, the largest religious institution in the country, the Church of Sweden, advised its clergy to avoid terms like ‘Lord’ and ‘He’ in worship services in order to not highlight that God is male, in the new version of a handbook on how to conduct services. The move has triggered a backlash, with critics saying the change undermines the Christian concept of the Holy Trinity and politicizes faith.

Pope Francis: Divisive Devil Responsible For Catholic Pedophile Epidemic

Pope Francis - who stands accused of covering up widespread sexual abuse within the Catholic Church, says that the devil is trying to divide and attack the organization. So apparently all of the child rape isn't the priests' fault, since the devil apparently made them do it.

"(The Church must be) saved from the attacks of the malign one, the great accuser and at the same time be made ever more aware of its guilt, its mistakes, and abuses committed in the present and the past," said Francis in a September 29 message.

Francis, who has made clear that he believes the devil to be real, suggested that Catholics worldwide pray every day in the month of October to stave off the Devil and his pedophile-encouraging ways.

"We should not think of the devil as a myth, a representation, a symbol, a figure of speech or an idea. This mistake would lead us to let down our guard, to grow careless and end up more vulnerable."

At Yad Vashem, Merkel says Germany has ‘everlasting’ duty to fight anti-Semitism

German Chancellor Angela Merkel continued her 24-hour visit to Israel on Thursday with a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum in Jerusalem, and said Germany bore an "everlasting responsibility" to remember the tragedy and oppose anti-Semitism ... "From this comes the everlasting responsibility of Germany to remember this crime and to oppose anti-Semitism, xenophobia, hatred and violence." Later on Thursday, Merkel was meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, and will also receive an honorary doctorate from Haifa University. Merkel, who is accompanied by much of her cabinet, a large business delegation and her new czar for combating anti-Semitism, arrived in Israel on Wednesday night ...

History Matters’ but Hope Lives Only If People Remember

Along with hundreds of thousands of commuters who use the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) in San Francisco and its suburbs, we are deeply disturbed at BART's misguided decision to allow advertising on its electronic billboards from a nefarious hate group that masks its denial of history in a veneer of pseudo-scholarship ... We wish that BART had contacted the Simon Wiesenthal Center to seek its counsel on what would be an appropriate response when first approached by the so-called Institute for Historical Review (IHR) ... The decision makers at BART appear to have a blind spot for the concerns of the Jewish community, especially Holocaust survivors and their families.
Note: Simply put the reason advocates of the holocau$t legend do not want it examined is because it is an embellished and false narrative that has brought billions of dollars into Jewish organizations.

Sino-US Tensions: Pentagon Accuses China of Threatening America’s National Security

Sino/US tensions risk boiling over into something much more serious than already.

Washington considers China’s significant political, economic, trade, and military strength as a threat to US national security.

Accusations by US officials against China, Russia, and other countries are all about wanting no nations compromising Washington’s hegemonic agenda – its aim for unchallenged control.

The Trump regime slammed what it called Beijing’s “unfair trade” and other practices, along with accusing the country of intellectual property theft, cyberwar, interfering in America’s electoral process, militarizing the South China Sea, and controlling offshore islands it claims belong to other regional countries.

The US also claims the right to conduct freedom of navigation operations close to Chinese waters its officials consider provocative.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think this paper was created in such a way as to anger the Chinese government, but also accomplish another agenda, which I will get to later in this post; that the US military is behind China, in nearly every sector of its weaponry, has to be laid squarely at the feet of the Pentagon, and those contractors with whom they are so cosy, and who give so much money to political campaigns as to prevent any reasonable, and long overdue criticisms of their products or services from harming their bottom line.

But what concerns me here, is the bristling, angry tone this takes, against both the Chinese government, and Chinese businesses, and there is a reason for that.

The Chinese are very practical, and bright, people. They understand that there are those in the bowels of power in DC who would love to see a regime change in both Russia and China. Paul Craig Roberts: Washington plans to nuke Russia and China Understanding this, can you possibly blame Chinese leadership for doing everything in its power to prevent this from happening?!?

But the belligerency here is the sort of J'accuse! rhetoric one expects to hear as the demonization prelude to a US war against China, and attempting to mold American opinion positively toward this agenda.

I frankly think that, even with the reinstitution of the draft, a war against China would be one of the most pigheadedly, ham-fistedly stupid things this government could do, and particularly at this time in our military's history. We don't have the weaponry, the manufacturing, the money, or the troop strength to insure a positive outcome to a conventional war with China.

And if the US goes to war against China, we had better count on Russia coming in on the Chinese side of the equation. Folks, I am saying this because I care about both my country, and our military; this potential war may well not end well for the US at all.

Christian Zionists Target US Aid to Palestinian Authority

A few days ago, We Hold These Truths posted a podcast entitled “Christian Zionism is a War Based Religion,” which includes a discussion on the so-called “just war” theological doctrine often used by Christian leaders to justify their support for US wars.

I am referring, of course, to Christian leaders such as John Hagee, of Christians United for Israel, or CUFI.

Back in 2003, Hagee supported the US war in Iraq, and even later, after it became glaringly apparent there never had been any weapons of mass destruction and that Bush had lied about the war, he continued to be a vocal supporter of the US aggression.

“Christian Zionism is a war based, political religion wrapped around the notion that the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy,” reads the podcast description put up by We Hold These Truths. You can go here to listen to the podcast. It’s a fairly interesting discussion.

Vatican takes off gloves, accuses papal critic of 'calumny, defamation'

A top Vatican official on Sunday issued a scathing open letter accusing an archbishop who launched an unprecedented attack on Pope Francis of mounting a “political frame job devoid of real foundation”.

Cardinal Marc Ouellet said in the detailed, three-page letter that calls by Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano for the pope to resign because he had allegedly covered up sexual misconduct by a senior American churchman were “calumny and defamation”.
