Federal agent alleges U.S. misconduct, cover-up in Bundy Ranch trial

A federal investigator is alleging prosecutors in the Bundy Ranch standoff trial covered up misconduct by law enforcement agents who engaged in "likely policy, ethical and legal violations."

In an 18-page memo to the Assistant U.S. Attorney General, Special Agent Larry Wooten said he "routinely observed ... a widespread pattern of bad judgment, lack of discipline, incredible bias, unprofessionalism and misconduct" among agents involved in the 2014 armed standoff.

He said his investigation indicated federal agents engaged in excessive force, civil rights and policy violations.

This Bill In Congress Could Means 10s Of 1000s More Americans Banned From Buying Guns

So exactly how many people could be “barred from gun possession going forward”?

Well, according to Gun Owners Of America, even people with “unpaid traffic tickets” could be banned from owning guns under this bill…

The goal of the Cornyn-Feinstein-Murphy-Schumer bill is to force every single potential NICS name to be sent to the FBI’s NICS system.

It was prompted by reports that the Air Force did not send the name of the Sutherland Springs shooter to NICS - even though he certainly could have gotten a firearm in a wide variety of ways, even if he had been in NICS, and even though his carnage was stopped by the real solution to violence ... a good guy with a gun.

The problem is that, because of this isolated horror story, the Cornyn bill could add the names of millions of additional law-abiding Americans to NICS.

You already know of the 257,000 veterans who have lost their rights because of a bad experience in Iraq.

The Gun Bill That Is Going Through Congress Could Significantly Increase The Number Of Americans Banned From Buying Guns

When news that a “concealed-carry reciprocity law” had been passed by the U.S. House of Representatives, gun owners all over the nation rejoiced. But what most people didn’t realize is that there had been a last minute change to the bill that could substantially increase the number of Americans that are banned from buying guns. This poison pill completely ruins the bill, and it must be voted down. What we need is a clean “concealed-carry reciprocity bill” that does not include “Fix-NICS” in it.

House approves bill allowing conceal and carry across state lines

The House of Representatives voted yesterday on a conceal and carry bill that could have a huge impact on interstate truckers who drive with firearms for personal protection. House Passes Monumental Gun Rights Bill- The “Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act” was passed yesterday by a 231-198 margin. This is the first movement by lawmakers under Trump to fulfill the president’s campaign promises to promote and protect gun rights. Trump campaigned on conceal and carry reciprocity, writing in a position paper published before he was elected, “The right of self – defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state.

Rep. Thomas Massie Sounds Warning: House Leaders to Merge Obama-Style Gun Control with National Reciprocity

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is warning that House Leadership plans to merge Obama-style gun control with national reciprocity for concealed carry.

This news comes just days before Rep. Richard Hudson’s (R-NC) national reciprocity legislation, H.R. 38, is supposed to go the House floor for a vote.

Massie explains that the Obama-style gun controls are contained in the “fix-NICS” legislation, the very legislation that House Leadership “plans to merge” with H.R. 38. He used a Facebook post to explain the “fix-NICS” legislation would allow “agencies, not just courts, to adjudicate your second amendment rights.”

Senators Introduce Bipartisan Gun Background Check Bill

A bipartisan group of senators is trying to strengthen reporting to the national background check system in the wake of a shooting in Texas earlier this month.

Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) introduced legislation on Thursday that would require states and agencies to produce plans for sending records to the National Instant Background Check System (NICS) that would show if an individual is prohibited from buying a gun and verifying that the information is accurate.

On Thursday Sens. John Cornyn (R-TX), Chris Murphy (D-CT), and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) announced a new gun control bill which centers on background checks for gun purchases.

The bill was also signed by Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Dean Heller (R-NV).

Fox News Congressional reporter Chad Pergram tweeted that the bill is designed to “strengthen the background check system” in the wake of the Texas church attack.

‘Literally Know Nothing’: Tucker Takes On Dem Over Banning MUZZLE LOADERS [VIDEO]

“So here you have Gabby Giffords’ group saying that we need to regulate a rifle, a firearm, they clearly know nothing about,” the Fox host continued. “A muzzle loader is loaded from the muzzle, from the end of the barrel, from the hole where the bullet comes out, and you put it in the powder, and then the wadding, and then the round and the whole thing takes like a minute. So it’s not probably going to be responsible for a lot of mass shootings.”

Gun Grabbers Are Coming After Muskets

Gabrielle Giffords' gun control group has released a report detailing nine products that they deem to be "the new bump stock."

Funny how they don't seem to stop with banning just one thing... It's almost as if they'll never be satisfied until, oh we don't know, they take away ALL OUR GUNS!

The list of products includes binary triggers, trigger cranks, .50 caliber rifles, "high capacity" shotguns (what?), AK and AR style pistols, pistol arm braces, pistol blade stabilizers, "incendiary, tracer, and armor piercing" ammunition, and yes, muzzleloaders, firearms that must be loaded through the end of the barrel with powder, wadding and a "projecticle" (yes, they misspelled projectile.)

Two Church Shootings, Two Very Different Outcomes

The church was in Antioch, Tennessee. That’s where an armed man decided to kill everyone he could at the church.

How did it get lost amid two mass shootings and a terrorist attack in the six weeks since then?

There are two simple reasons, the first was a good guy with a gun in a position to stop the attack far sooner.

A man by the name of Caleb Engle was able to get to his gun and put a stop to the attack. As a result, he wasn’t able to kill as many people as the Sutherland Springs killer, not by any stretch of the imagination.

The other reason you’ve heard so little about it is because of the killer’s motivation.

Senator Jeff Flake Introduces Already-Existing Gun Control Law

Arizona senator Jeff Flake has made it clear that he won’t be running for re-election, and while he’s doing so in opposition of Donald Trump, even he’s aware that he wouldn’t have won his primary contest.

The last piece of legislation he may propose is a gun control bill aimed at closing an alleged domestic violence loophole in the wake of the Texas church massacre. Preventing any man who raises hand against a woman or child from owning a firearm is hardly a partisan issue – and such gun control legislation already exists in the form of the 1997 Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban.

Enforce the Constitution – Gun Ownership with Harry Blazer

Gun ownership offers some protections, providing citizens with a defense in a significant number of criminal and violent confrontations.

Last week’s intervention by a former NRA gun instructor in a Texas church shooting is an important example of the role that gun owners play in protecting themselves and other people during the critical time period between the start of a crime and the arrival of law enforcement. These precious minutes often are the difference between life and death. This case also underscores why it is essential that law-abiding citizens own assault weapons.

Unfortunately, the majority of gun control proposals would strip or restrict the power of law abiding citizens, leaving them at the mercy of both criminals and a political class looking to abrogate retirement obligations and steal more assets.

ABC News: Firearm Confiscation Orders Part of Solution to Mass Public Attacks

Senate Democrats pushed nine different gun controls during the past six weeks, and ABC News has now emerged with a tenth gun law which they suggest may be the ringer.

That law would legalize firearm confiscation orders like those in Washington state. Such orders allow a judge to issue an ex parte order for the confiscation of an American’s firearms. This means the order can be issued without the firearm owner even being present for the process. His or her first knowledge of the order would come when police knocked on their door to sweep the house for firearms.

'It's Not Negotiable': Tehran on Macron's Call for Talks on Its Missile Program

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has responded to the call of the French President to hold talks on the country's ballistic missile program, firmly rejecting the idea and noting that it is solely defensive in nature.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi has rejected any possibility of negotiations on the country's ballistic missiles. The diplomat stressed that the country's missile program is designed for its defense and has no relation to a nuclear agreement with the world powers.

Senate Democrats Wednesday introduced a major gun control bill that would ban so-called assault-style weapons and ammunition.

The bill — sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and other Senate Democrats — would make it illegal to sell more than 200 types of semi-automatic weapons as well as magazines holding more than ten rounds of ammunition.
