REVEALED: US training ISIS militants at Al-Tanf to attack Syrian oil fields

DAMASCUS – According to sources in the Syrian government army, several thousand militants of the Islamic State (outlawed in Russia), who previously surrendered outside the settlement of al-Baguz on the eastern bank of the Euphrates, were transported to the At-Tanf zone through the territories of Iraq and Jordan under the American escort. Those were mostly people from local tribes dwelling in the Syrian and Iraqi territories. Their families and relatives were sent as hostages to Al-Hol camp in Al-Hasakah province

Most militants were sent to training camps that account for at as many as ten in the American-occupied territory.>>>

Rebecca Gordon: Turning Our Backs on Nuremberg

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

The advent of sound recording deep-sixed this age-old thought experiment and offered a definitive answer: Yes!

I’ve got another one for you, though: if you water-torture someone at a secure military compound and no one is around to see it, is it a war crime?

Tricky, right?

Well, what if someone does see it? And what if you admit to it — and to a criminal investigator, no less? And what if you add that you also used electrical torture, too? Is that, in fact, a war crime?

More cut and dried, right?

In 70s, Pakistan felt reassured about the exclusive status and its geostrategic importance to the world. It could not bother to evaluate what PACOM implied. Pakistan played its role to US satisfaction till the end of the war. This was at the cost of changing its socio-economic and socio-religious fabric; a cost still being paid. The romance with CENTCOM was soon over as Pakistan was left alone to contend with mopping up. It was evident that Pakistan only had a short term strategic significance and that American long term interests lay with India

ADC’s Statement on the Occupied Syrian Golan Heights

The unprecedented decision by the Trump Administration to formally recognize Israel’s unjust claim to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is troubling, deeply concerning, and goes against international law. President Trump declared via twitter on March 21, 2019, that this policy shift, “is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” This irresponsible and unilateral decision contradicts thirty years of established U.S. policy.

To date, no country recognizes Israel’s claim over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. In 1967, Israel acquired the Syrian Golan Heights by force, and fully annexing the territory in 1981.>>>

US Sends Large Military Convoy to Syria Despite Claim of ISIL Full Collapse

A large US military convoy entered Northeastern Syria past weekend despite President Donald Trump’s declaration of victory against the ISIL in the war-torn country.

Palestine: ‘Israeli war crimes should go to international court’

Israeli crimes against peaceful Palestinian protesters in Gaza should go to the International Criminal Court (ICC), said the Palestinian ambassador to UN in Geneva on Sunday.

Ibrahim Khraishi’s call came after the UN Human Rights Council on Friday passed a resolution on strengthening the UN presence in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territory.

The council said it was “gravely concerned” by the findings of the UN-appointed independent international commission of inquiry, which said Israeli forces may have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity during the peaceful Great March of Return protests.

“That report should be transmitted to the ICC by the commissioner,” Khraishi told Anadolu Agency, referring to Michelle Bachelet, who heads the council.

Khraishi said that Israeli forces target all people, not sparing children, the disabled, the media, or healthcare providers.

Israel begins construction of new Gaza barrier

Six-metre tall fence will prevent Palestinians from infiltrating Israel from the Gaza Strip, prime minister says.

Israel has said the work to strengthen its fence along the Gaza Strip entered a new phase with construction starting on a massive new barrier along the frontier.

"Over the weekend we began building the above-ground barrier along the Gaza border," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told journalists on Sunday before a weekly cabinet meeting.

The barrier, set to stand six metres off the ground, will be constructed on the pretext of preventing the infiltration of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip into Israel, Netanyahu said.

The Israeli prime minister gave no further details but a defence ministry statement said the work on the structure began on Thursday.

Trump's CIA Now Unbound And Back To Its Traditional Hijinks

Authored by Wayne Madsen via The Strategic Culture Foundation,

Under the directorship of torture and black site maven Gina Haspel, Donald Trump’s Central Intelligence Agency has returned to its traditional roots of conducting “black bag” operations and disrupting electrical grids through cyber-attacks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have been profoundly disappointed in Haspel's having been nominated, and confirmed, as head of the CIA; President Trump knew what an "interesting piece of work she was", professionally, yet put her name into consideration, and she got confirmed anyway.

Taking down Venezuela's electricity grid, if in fact the US did it (and at this point, given the lust for Venezuela's oil reserves our leaders want to control, I think it points to a US plot) is absolutely an act of war.

Unfortunately, however, I am concerned that the mayhem may continue in many other formats, until the current Maduro government resigns, and Gaido's US puppets are "anointed" as Venezuela's "true government"

Russia has stated, incontrovertibly, that they will "protect their interests" in Venezuela.

At the worst of it, we may see war break out between Russia and the US government forces, at some time in the near future, which would be horrific in the extreme; and I say this, because at this point in their history, the American military doesn't have the weaponry; the manufacturing, the money, or the troop strength to insure a positive outcome in such a war.

Such A Deal: US Embassy in Iraq Hosting Washington-Tel Aviv Operations Room against Region

A prominent Iraqi security expert revealed intensifying US pressures on Baghdad to avoid approving a bill that envisages expulsion of foreign forces, saying that the American embassy in Iraq is acting as the US-Israeli operations room against the region.
Abbas al-Ardawi was quoted by the Arabic-language al-Ma'alomeh news website as saying on Monday that the US administration is exerting pressures on Baghdad and killing time to prolong its deployment in Iraq.

He added that relocation of terrorists from the town of Baqouz in Eastern Syria to the US bases in Iraq is aimed at security tensions in the country and finding a pretext for continued deployment of American forces, noting that the Iraqi parliamentarians certainly want expulsion of all US forces from the country as soon as possible given the fact that the Iraqi army is fully prepared to fight against the terrorist groups.

Israel’s killing of Gazans may amount to war crimes: UN

A UN fact-finding mission says Israeli forces committed rights violations during their crackdown against Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip last year that may amount to “war crimes,” urging the regime’s military to prevent its snipers from using lethal force against the demonstrators.

The UN Independent Commission of Inquiry on the protests in the Occupied Palestinian Territory presented its full report on Monday, saying Israeli forces breached international human rights by using live ammunition against unarmed Palestinian protesters during the anti-Israel protests in Gaza.

The Israeli forces “committed violations of international human rights and humanitarian law,” said UN Commissioner Kaari Betty Murungi. “Some of those violations may constitute war crimes or crimes against humanity, and must be immediately investigated by Israel.”

US to ICC – We Will Break Your Legs

Well, not exactly like that, but in a way, yes. Now, finally, ‘the gloves are off’. The US is openly threatening the historically timid ICC (International Criminal Court) and its judges. And unexpectedly, the ICC is hitting back. It refuses to shut up, to kneel, and to beg for mercy.

Suddenly, even the Western mass media outlets cannot conceal the aggressive mafia-style outbursts of the US government officials. On March 15, Reuters reported:

The United States will withdraw or deny visas to any International Criminal Court personnel investigating possible war crimes by U.S. forces or allies in Afghanistan, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Friday.

Top US General Denies Plans to Leave 1,000 Troops in Syria

US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joe Dunford issued a statement Monday denying weekend media reports that the US plans to leave around 1,000 troops in Syria, saying the reports are “factually incorrect.”

Dunford presented the current planned “residual force” as 200, saying that this hadn’t changed since February. The US announced 200 would stay on February 21, but on February 22 officially increased that number to 400.

It’s not clear from Dunford’s statement where the “incorrect” aspect of the new report, which came out of a Wall Street Journal, exists. That report suggested that the 1,000 figure was not yet finalized, but was being discussed. Dunford’s comments didn’t include any details on what is actually being discussed, but just that nothing was finalized.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I think the multiple troop numbers being given, are simply a way of creating confusion about how many US troops the US does have in Syria.

US CONGRESSMEN CALL FOR SAUDI TO RELEASE DETAINED DUAL CITIZEN

Senior US Congressmen have called for the Saudi Arabian authorities to release dual citizen Walid Fitaihi, who has been detained and tortured in Saudi prisons.

In a joint statement issued on Thursday by the House Foreign Affairs Committee, lead Republican Michael McCaul and Chairman Eliot Engel said that Fitaihi must be released. “We are deeply concerned by reports that Dr Walid Fitaihi, a dual US-Saudi citizen in Saudi custody, has been tortured,” the statement read.

They added: “Allegations like this are stunning and the reported lack of due process [in Saudi Arabia] is completely unacceptable. Torture and coercion of all prisoners must end.”

Concluding their statement, the Congressmen said: “We call on Saudi Arabia to immediately release Dr Fitaihi and allow him to travel outside Saudi Arabia.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yes, we all understand that Saudi Arabia is a brutal place, with no true Constitution, and is run by the Butcher of Yemen, who understands, at least in theory, what human rights laws are, but doesn't want them introduced into his country, at least not while his regime is still in power.

But what is it about this guy, which makes him so valuable to Saudi Arabia?!?

It looks as though what he has done, is raise the level of health care in Saudi Arabia, for many of the people who would otherwise not have care.

This is what he says in his English bio:

"Affiliation
International Medical Center

About:
My mission in life is to improve the quality of health care in the Middle East through founding the International Medical Center (IMC) @theimcjeddah, and ensuring that it truly represents a major paradigm shift in health care delivery in the region."

Did he open his mouth and say something which infuriated the murderous Crown Prince bin Salman, who then gave the order to have him arrested and tortured?!?

Unfortunately, it appears to me that whatever this guy did, he did an industrial-strength job of pissing off the Prince; and these acts of torture will continue against other prisoners, until either Bin Salman dies, or is deposed by a bunch of very, VERY angry Saudis.

And President Trump, where, please, the hell are you in this case?!? Can you not plead, personally, for this guy?!?

I mean, after all, the Butcher of Yemen is one of your BFFs in the Middle East, right?!? Do you not think he wouldn't listen to you, if you called him?!?

American warplanes specifically dropped the white phosphorous on ISIS positions inside the Baghouz camp, which coalition statements have described as the last holdout to the "most hardened" militants, numbering in the hundreds, in Abu Kamal District of Deir Ezzor governate near the Iraqi border.

US-Led Coalition Used White Phosphorus in Attacks on Syria's Baghouz - Reports

The US-led coalition has used shells with white phosphorus in its bombing attacks on the southwestern Syrian town of Baghouz, which remains the last stronghold of the Daesh terror group in the country, local media reported on Saturday, citing sources.

This came soon after the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that it had resumed operations against Daesh militants in Baghouz, following a break for citizens evacuation. According to SDF claims, only Daesh militants currently remain in the town.

However, the battle for Baghuz is currently going slowly in order to protect hostages held by the Daesh terrorists, according to co-chair of the US mission of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Bassam Ishak.

US-led coalition bombs eastern Syrian town with white phosphorus munitions

The US-led military coalition, which is purportedly fighting the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in Syria, has used white phosphorus munitions in a bombing raid against an area in Syria’s eastern province of Dayr al-Zawr, local media say.

Syria’s official news agency SANA, citing local sources, reported on Saturday that US-led military aircraft conducted a bombing attack with white phosphorus munitions on the farmlands of the town of Baghouz in the volatile province.

The US-led coalition and the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is supported by Washington, claim that they are fighting against the Daesh militants in the Arab country and that Baghouz, which is the last pocket of territory controlled by remnants of the terror group, is constantly under their fire and expected to be liberated soon.

The flashpoint town is located in the eastern Euphrates River region.

Meet The Kakistocracy - Tjeerd Andringa on The Corbett Report

Kakistocracy is defined as “rule by the worst.” Today on the program Dr. Tjeerd Andringa of the University of Groningen joins us to discuss his theory of how the kakistocracy uses child abuse to perpetuate their control, both over the victims of that abuse and its perpetrators. We also discuss what the vast majority of decent and moral people can do about this problem.

DECADE OF ATTEMPTS BY CACI TO BLOCK ABU GHRAIB TORTURE LAWSUIT END AS JUDGE SETS TRIAL DATE

A private contractor has tried to prevent a lawsuit challenging their role in the torture of Iraqis at Abu Ghraib a total of sixteen times.
Now, the lawsuit against CACI Premier Technology, filed 13 years ago, finally has a date for a trial after a federal judge denied another motion to dismiss.

The trial is scheduled for April 23, 2019, in Alexandria, Virginia.

“More than ten years passed for us to reach this point and achieve justice,” plaintiff Salah Al-Ejaili said. “We faced a lot of obstacles along the way that we had to surpass and we stayed patient because we wanted to win our right to equality in the law.”

Al Ejaili, an Iraqi and former reporter for al Jazeera, was detained at Abu Ghraib for about six weeks. When he arrived, he was allegedly forced to strip naked and put a bag on his head as personnel shouted at him to confess.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This judge... has just become my new heroine!

We, as Americans, have to take the values we tell the world we hold dear, and constantly uphold them; violence and torture should never be tolerated, in the questioning of prisoners of war, ever, period, end of discussion, because it doesn't work (except to pry confessions from the tortured), and because it makes the world laugh at our wretched moral hypocrisy, when we do not uphold these values in all circumstances, and at all times, no matter what.

UN investigators call for arrests over Gaza war crimes

Israeli forces may have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity by using lethal military force against unarmed protesters in Gaza, a United Nations independent commission of inquiry has found.

“Israeli security forces committed serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law,” Santiago Canton, the head of the commission, stated on Thursday.

“These violations clearly warrant criminal investigation and prosecution,” he added.

“[Israeli forces] have intentionally shot children, they’ve intentionally shot people with disabilities, they’ve intentionally shot journalists, knowing them to be children, people with disabilities and journalists,” Sara Hossain, one of the other three investigators appointed by the UN Human Rights Council, said.

US JUDGE LETS ABU GHRAIB TORTURE CLAIMS TO GO TO TRIAL AFTER 10-YEAR DELAY

After 10 years of delay, a federal judge has ruled that three former inmates who say they were tortured at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison can go forward with their lawsuit against a military contractor.

Arlington-based CACI Premier Technology asked the judge Wednesday to dismiss the lawsuit. The company, which supplied the Army with civilian interrogators, argued that the government's refusal to declassify key facts is making it impossible to defend itself.

U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema acknowledged CACI's frustration but said the lawsuit can move forward even though the government says certain facts like the identities of the interrogators are state secrets that can't be declassified.

The case is now slated to go to trial in April. While other pretrial matters remain unresolved, Brinkema told both sides that "you should expect if you don't settle this case, it'll go to trial."

Webmaster's Commentary:

When the US tortures, or outsources torture, it does several things.

First, it makes this country look like a bunch of sniveling hypocrites, in terms of honoring human rights in the breach, rather than the observance of those rights.

Secondly, it demonstrates that with all our alleged "reverence" for the Rules of Law, torture, to get someone to say something as a "confession under duress of torture", is believed to be perfectly acceptible.

Third, it gives the leadership of any country which doesn't particularly like the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, carte blanche to do the same thing to American civilians and military personnel. Please do think about that one for awhile.

Back in World War II, there was a German intelligence officer by the name of Hanns Scharff; The German Intelligence Officer who treated US and Brit POWs with Kindness

This man was so respected that after the war, he was invited by the American military to teach his methods to American Intelligence Officers.

It is a damned shame that the US didn't have someone with Sharff's methods, or temperament, overseeing Abu Ghraib, and bravo to Judge Brinkema's stance on this.

It never bloody should have happened in the first place.

Nuclear Weapons: Who Has What at a Glance

At the dawn of the nuclear age, the United States hoped to maintain a monopoly on its new weapon, but the secrets and the technology for making nuclear weapons soon spread. The United States conducted its first nuclear test explosion in July 1945 and dropped two atomic bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945. Just four years later, the Soviet Union conducted its first nuclear test explosion. The United Kingdom (1952), France (1960), and China (1964) followed. Seeking to prevent the nuclear weapon ranks from expanding further, the United States and other like-minded states negotiated the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) in 1968 and the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) in 1996.

UN Staffer Warns that 5G is a ‘War on Humanity’

5G is a greater threat to all life on earth than global thermal nuclear war; it permanently alters DNA and destroys the genetic code in human beings and their seed (just as it does for all life), once that seed is passed on to future generations, the mutated genetic code never goes away; this radiation has a similar effect on DNA as nuclear fallout, but from a much greater distance. If they put 20,000 satellites of this into space to radiate every inch of the planet, as they have planned, it will be similar to blanketing the entire planet with depleted uranium.

Interview: Ron Paul and the Never-Ending Story of Empire

Today we stand on a point in the continuum, a possible inflection point in the direction the world will go. Embrace the tired and ugly Marxist filth that destroyed hundreds of millions of people in the twentieth century (and altered the trajectory of history) or reject it whole cloth and build new institutions learning from those incalculable mistakes and horrors.

Donald Trump has revealed himself to be a two-bit, tiny man with delusions of grandeur, the blackest of hearts and bad ideas. The only thing worse than him at this point is his opposition, those that erected this edifice of corruption, filth and death.

Russia to Press for Putting “White Helmets” on Trial for Crimes in Syria

Russia will press for putting the White Helmets on trial for crimes committed in Syria, including faked videos of chemical attacks, the director of the Foreign Ministry’s department of new challenges and threats, Ilya Rogachyov, told TASS in an interview on February 20.

“The leading Western countries have failed to place the struggle against terrorism above their own time-serving political interests. In the sphere of international counter-terrorist cooperation various selective approaches thrive. Terrorists are rated as ‘bad’ and ‘not very bad’. Countries are being forced to agree with the concept of ‘resistance to violent extremism’ and its dangerous elements that create situations for ousting ‘disfavored’ governments,” Rogachyov said. “The Western sponsors are keen to present the contractors on their payroll in a favorable light as ‘envoys of peace’ in order to use this as a cover to push ahead with political destabilization scenarios.”

Israel pharmaceutical firms test medicines on Palestinian prisoners

Israeli Professor Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian revealed yesterday that the Israeli occupation authorities issues permits to large pharmaceutical firms to carry out tests on Palestinian and Arab prisoners, Felesteen.ps reported.

The Hebrew University lecturer also revealed that the Israeli military firms are testing weapons on Palestinian children and carry out these tests in the Palestinian neighbourhoods of occupied Jerusalem.

Speaking in Columbia University in New York City, Shalhoub-Kevorkian said that she collected the data while carrying out a research project for the Hebrew University.

“Palestinian spaces are laboratories,” she said. “The invention of products and services of state-sponsored security corporations are fueled by long-term curfews and Palestinian oppression by the Israeli army.”

Elliott Abrams has supported death squads and genocide in Latin America but can't handle being asked about it.

The Trump administration has been hungrily eyeing Venezuela, reviving the U.S.'s old habit of overthrowing Latin American governments in countries with valuable natural resources. To help with this, Trump has named Elliott Abrams, a man with extensive experience in subverting democracy and enabling mass murder in Latin America, as Special Envoy to Venezuela.

A year ago, his appearance in front of the House Foreign Affairs committee might have been an easy affair, but on Wednesday, Minnesota representative Ilhan Omar wanted to know if Congress could expect even more atrocities from him this time around:

Omar: Mr. Abrams, you pleaded guilty to two counts of withholding information from Congress regarding your involvement in the Iran-Contra affair, for which you were later pardoned by President George H.W. Bush. I fail to understand why members of this committee or the American people should find any testimony that you give today to be truthful.

Ilhan Omar takes on the establishment

Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar has exposed a long-held open secret about the massive influence of the Israel lobby group AIPAC on US lawmakers.

In recent days, not only has she been scorned, attacked and smeared as an anti-Semite by Republicans and top members of her own Democratic Party, but elected leaders have remained conspicuously silent about AIPAC, thus vindicating her comments.

Meanwhile, the congresswoman continued on Wednesday to demonstrate her true antiwar principles when she questioned Elliott Abrams, the far right-wing Washington official tasked with overseeing the US regime change operation in Venezuela.

During a congressional hearing, Omar asked Abrams to account for his role in war crimes and the backing of death squads and genocides in Central America in the 1980s:

The Israeli army has prevented Palestinian activists from documenting Israeli settlers’ crimes against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

This came after a group of Palestinian activists called Youth Against Settlement earlier this week launched a campaign to document settler violations in Hebron after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expelled the TIPH UN monitoring force that has documented Israeli crimes for 22 years, Quds Press reported yesterday.

In a statement, the activists said that settlers had already attacked them, despite the fact that they had been operating for only three days. The activists have already documented numerous violations against Hebron’s Palestinians, including attacks on Palestinian primary school pupils.

Hundreds of Saudi police officers trained in Britain 'aiding regime to commit torture'

Hundreds of Saudi police officers were trained in Britain last year, despite claims the skills they acquire could help the regime commit torture, The Sunday Telegraph can disclose.

The College of Policing, which sets the standards for UK police forces, has increased its work with a desert kingdom that faces global condemnation for alleged state-sponsored brutality.

The Telegraph investigation has found 268 Saudi police officers attended British training sessions between January and October last year. The figure dwarfs the number sent by other countries at the same time and comes as the regime faces accusations it arrested and tortured children, including some who were sentenced to death, according to a human rights charity.

Hands off ‘our hemisphere’ or Venezuela pays the price: US Senator warns Russia

This is pathetic. Without Venezuela and their gold the district of criminals is finished!

“I think that it could happen,” Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) told a group of reporters on Tuesday. “You’ve got a guy down there that is killing everybody. You could have him put together a base that Russia would have on our hemisphere. And if those things happen, it may be to the point where we’ll have to intervene with troops and respond.”

New legal bombshells explode on two Navy SEAL war crimes cases

Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward “Eddie” Gallagher not only stabbed to death a teenage wounded Islamic State prisoner of war during a 2017 deployment to Iraq, according to an officer in his chain of command, but the SEAL also called in “false target coordinates to engage a mosque," tried to push his platoon into pointless and potentially catastrophic firefights with insurgents and became so mentally unstable that he should’ve been relieved from duty but wasn’t.

Those allegations are contained in a proffer from the officer sent to military officials on Wednesday seeking immunity from prosecution in the sprawling war crimes case roiling California-based SEAL Team 7.

Proffers are legal documents that outline what potential witnesses will say on the stand in a court-martial trial in exchange for immunity from prosecution for crimes they also might’ve committed.

Why is Guantánamo seeking a wheelchair-accessible three-cell compound? Contingencies.

The Guantánamo Bay prison is shopping for a new three-cell, handicapped accessible compound — complete with a 115-foot dog run and guard house that can tap into the Pentagon’s secret internet network. Why?

“We must prepare for multiple contingencies, and modular buildings can be adapted and configured to provide us the flexibility needed to adapt to numerous circumstances,” prison spokesman Navy Cmdr. Adam Bashaw said Friday. He declined to answer specifically whether the proposed new compound was meant for the war court; the prison’s most clandestine lock-up for former CIA prisoners, Camp 7; or for a site called Camp Echo where captives meet their lawyers.

Echo has what Pentagon officials describe as “legacy issues,” meaning they have in the past been wired with listening devices and cameras that, defense attorneys say, allows for eavesdropping that violates attorney-client confidentiality.

Afghanistan’s Guantanamo

What happened to prisoners at Bagram, 'Afghanistan’s Guantanamo'?
Some were deported, others feel safer in Afghan jail than home and little is known about a US-accused Egyptian prisoner.

Before there was Guantanamo, there was Bagram, a US detention site near its giant airbase in Afghanistan, which came to be synonymous with torture and prisoner abuse.

But when the US relinquished control of the prison, now called Parwan Detention Facility, to Afghan security forces in December 2014, Washington renounced responsibility for the men once held there.

The handful of prisoners left behind became the Afghans' problem>>>
***

I worry that nearly two decades after 9/11, the US military continues to compromise its obligations under the Geneva Conventions to treat detainees humanely for the sake of expediency - and perhaps because they think no one is paying attention to these forgotten men.

Pussy John Bolton and His Codpiece Mustache: Examining the Freak Show

American government has become a collection of sordid and dangerous clowns. It was not always thus. Until Bush II, those governing were never lunatics. Eisenhower, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Obama, Clinton had their defects, were sometimes corrupt, and could be disagreed with on many grounds. They weren’t crazy. Today’s administration would seem unwholesome in a New York bus station at three in the morning. They are not normal American politicians.

In particular they seem to be pushing for war with Iran, China, Russia, and Venezuela. And–this is important–their behavior is not a matter of liberals catfighting with conservatives. All former presidents carefully avoided war with the Soviet Union, which carefully avoided war with America.

THE U.S. GOVERNMENT’S LOVE OF FOREIGN DICTATORSHIPS

Lest anyone be tempted to believe that President Trump and other U.S. interventionists are intervening in Venezuela because of some purported concern for the Venezuelan people, let’s examine just a few examples that will bring a dose of reality to the situation. This latest intervention is nothing more than another interventionist power play, one intended to replace one dictatorial regime with another.

Egypt comes to mind. It is ruled by one of the most brutal and tyrannical military dictatorships in the world. The U.S. government loves it, supports it, and partners with it. There is no concern for the Egyptian citizenry, who have to suffer under this brutal tyranny and oppression.

Saudi Arabia also comes to mind. It too is a brutal and tyrannical dictatorship, also a murderous one. The U.S. government loves it too, supports it, and partners with it. There is no concern for Saudi citizens who have to suffer under this brutal tyranny and oppression.

REPORT: US INTERROGATORS WORKING AT UAE PRISONS

US interrogators are present in UAE prisons in Yemen, the Daily Beast has revealed today, providing shocking evidence that the American military is a witness to the torture of Yemenis.

In a series of interviews, two former detainees have testified to being interrogated by men with American accents, who looked on as they were beaten and electrocuted.

“They would strip me naked, they would beat me very harshly and slowly you start to understand the dynamics in the room. These are the two people, one of them is overseeing the whole interrogation and the other is doing the questioning and ordering the torture,” a Yemeni man identified only as Salvatore said, suggesting that the US was more that an unwilling observer.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Under Gina Haspel's tutelage and leadership of the USA's CIA, it appears that US-sanctioned torture, and US participation in torture, is still alive and kicking (sometimes, literally), and well, at prisons around the world.

And forgive me, but wasn't this the same woman who pledged to the American Congress, and to the American people, that torture would not be used, under her watch as head of the CIA?!?

UNDER INTERROGATION, TORTURE QUEEN GINA HASPEL PROMISES TO STOP TORTURING
While Trump’s C.I.A. nominee pledged not to re-start the agency’s torture program, no amount of brutal questioning could get her to say the practice was immoral.

Of course, in retrospect, looking at the lady's dubious, and vilely dripping track record, before landing the "top dog" job at the CIA, it didn't take much intelligence to realize that this was simply another pack of lies she told, just to get that job.

Having chosen this woman as the head of the CIA, it is painfully clear that President Trump doesn't care at all about how things are done in this government; just that the US maintains its economic and weapons hegemony over all the other countries on earth, no matter what that might entail, including the use torture.

What he is pathologically unable to see, is that this vision is rapidly being disrupted by countries choosing not to use the dollar at all in their transactions with other countries, such as Iran and China, and working with local currencies only.

It is deeply disconcerting to me, that President Trump's two BFFs in the Middle East, are the Monster of Yemen, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince bin Salman, and Israel's Butcher of Gaza, Prime Minister Netanyahu.

However, I think I know why this has happened.

Both men have the supreme power over life and death in their respective countries, and can order hits on alleged enemies just as easily as you or I might order breakfast at a restaurant, and neither country actually has a legitimate Constitution which could, potentially, restrain them from putting other people in harm's way; in some ways, President Trump is a little jealous because of that.

And our weaponry?!? China and Russia are way ahead of the US in terms of working war weaponry that is both cost-effective, and elegantly designed, with which the US military cannot not even begin to compete at the moment.

“It Can’t be Fixed:” Senior ICC Judge Slam John Bolton, Quits in Protest of US, Turkish Meddling

A senior judge at the United Nations’ International Court in The Hague has resigned in protest of “shocking” interference from the Trump administration into a preliminary war-crimes investigation into U.S. troops.

The judge, Christoph Flügge, who hails from Germany, slammed National Security Advisor John Bolton over his response last year to a preliminary investigation into American soldiers accused of torturing people in Afghanistan. That investigation ultimately found “a reasonable basis to believe that war crimes and crimes against humanity” were committed by U.S. forces, MintPress News reported.

“The United States will use any means necessary to protect our citizens and those of our allies from unjust prosecution by this illegitimate court,” Bolton said in September.

He also called for sanctions against the International Criminal Court (ICC) and warned the body against pursuing any investigations into “Israel or other U.S. allies.”
