’Going for jugular’: Undercover filmmakers take aim at CNN

Video of a CNN producer describing the network’s coverage of the alleged Russia scandal as “bullsh*t” peddled for ratings is genuine, an official at Project Veritas told RT, adding that the undercover filmmakers are just getting started.
“We weren’t specifically looking for this angle,” Project Veritas communications director Steven Gordon told RT. “We didn’t know exactly what we’d catch.”

The sting video published Tuesday shows CNN producer John Bonifield admitting the network has no evidence of claims that President Donald Trump or his campaign colluded with Russia to subvert the 2016 presidential election.

“I think the president is probably right to say, like, look, you are witch-hunting me,” Bonifield can be heard saying.

‘US needs to investigate Obama efforts to install Hillary Clinton in White House’

The facts are clear in the public domain that the Democratic National Committee [DNC] may well have rigged the primary for Hillary, Charles Ortel, private investor and writer, told RT.

CIA chief Mike Pompeo claims that Russian meddling in the US presidential elections was just a part of a decades-long effort to “undermine American democracy”.

Pompeo made the comments in his first TV interview since taking up the post of CIA director in January.

Yet, Russia has been denying any kind of interference, while evidence for such meddling has been nonexistent.

Iraqi WMDs All Over Again: The Latest US Threats to Syria

Where does one start with this hogwash? Does the US really think we've got all brains the size of gnats and memories that only go back to remembering what we had for supper last night? Trump Involvement In Syria Missile Strike Is A Red Herring: It Was Always The Deep State

By Brandon Turbeville

On June 25, veteran journalist Seymour Hersh released a bombshell article revealing a number of facets regarding the alleged chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria and the resulting volley of Tomahawk missiles fired by the United States at the al-Sha’aryat airbase in response. Hersh’s article provides the reader with what many of us already knew and wrote about at the time; i.e. that the Syrian military did not conduct a chemical weapons attack and that the United States was fully aware of that fact. Still, the U.S. government opted to use the attack as a justification for launching 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase that resulted in the deaths of Syrian soldiers, civilians, and children from the nearby village...

After Getting Busted for Bombing Syria Based On a Lie, Trump Doubles Down … Threatens to Bomb Syria Even Harder for the Same Bogus Reason

A report yesterday by the Pulitzer-prize winning reporter who broke some of the biggest stories of the Vietnam and Iraq wars showed that Trump bombed Syria on April 4th based upon false pretenses.

Specifically, Trump said the Syrian government carried out a chemical weapons attack on civilians. But U.S. military and intelligence officials say that they told Trump there was no evidence for that claim … and they say that what really happened is that Syria bombed Islamic terrorists, and that accidentally released chemicals being stored by the terrorists.

So how does Trump respond to the report?

He doubles down on the bull …

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is eager to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin with full diplomatic bells and whistles when the two are in Germany for a multinational summit next month. 'What about all the other phony stories they do?' Trump claims CNN in management shakeup after 'massive f**k up' story linking official to Russia is retracted and three employees are forced out

'Wow, CNN had to retract big story on "Russia," with 3 employees forced to resign. What about all the other phony stories they do? FAKE NEWS!' the president tweeted.

Trump also retweeted a Photoshopped version of CNN's iconic logo – remade to read 'FNN – Fake News Network.'

And in a followup tweet, he wrote: 'Fake News CNN is looking at big management changes now that they got caught falsely pushing their phony Russian stories. Ratings way down!'

He later tweeted a shot across the bow of other news agencies: 'So they caught Fake News CNN cold, but what about NBC, CBS & ABC? What about the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost? They are all Fake News!'

Trump Blasts Obama On Russia: "He Didn't 'Choke'...He Expected Clinton To Win So He Colluded Or Obstructed"

Former President Obama, political royalty on the left and a media darling who even sent a "thrill up the leg" of Chris Matthews, has drawn a rather surprising amount of public criticism of late over his handling of Russia's meddling in the 2016 election. Everyone from Congressional democrats to CNN is suddenly curious why Obama didn't do more?

Well, apparently Trump has decided to clear things up via Twitter:

"The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win and did not want to "rock the boat." He didn't "choke," he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good."

"The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling. With 4 months looking at Russia under a magnifying glass, they have zero "tapes" of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!"

White House Says It Will Fake "Chemical Weapon Attack" In Syria

The White House claims that the Syrian government is preparing "chemical weapon attacks". This is clearly not the case. Syria is winning the war against the country. Trump ignored intel, launched Tomahawks in Syria based on media – Pulitzer winner Seymour Hersh

US President Donald Trump ignored reports from US intelligence that said they had no evidence Syria had used sarin to attack a rebel-held town, Pulitzer-winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh says.

Hersh is most famous for exposing the My Lai Massacre and its cover-up during the Vietnam War. He also uncovered the abuse of prisoners by US personnel at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. In a report published by the German newspaper Die Welt on Sunday, he describes how the Trump administration mishandled the media frenzy after the Syrian bombing of the rebel-held town Khan Sheikhoun in April.

Obama Secretly Set A War With Russia Into Action Before He Left Office

Barack Obama was either very secretively cunning, or someone in his administration was. Before there was an investigation into “Russian hacking,” which we’ve seen no shred of proof even happened, the former president ordered a retaliation against our Cold War foe, which could lead to war.

Before the tears of the saddened liberals dried after Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton to become the 45th president, Obama was at it with his “pen and phone,” determined to destroy any chance Trump had at being a success. Obama, who was upset that Hillary Clinton would watch Donald Trump inaugurated as president, decided to shift blame to Russia. He authorized a covert cyber operation to deploy “implants” in Russian networks that could be triggered remotely in retaliation to any future cyber aggression by Moscow, The Washington Post reported Friday.

President Donald Trump ignored important intelligence reports when he decided to attack Syria after he saw pictures of dying children. Seymour M. Hersh investigated the case of the alleged Sarin gas attack.

America Illegally At War For a Long Time Now

US Senator Rand Paul has spoken out during the debate on war powers, saying that the current wars the US is leading are “illegal,” and that he isn’t “voting to go to war in 50 or 60 countries” where terrorist powers are now based.

The hearing during which Rand Paul spoke out was the latest one in a yearlong string of debates over what to do with the open-ended 9/11 Proclamation on war authorization.

Paul Craig Roberts - Another Step Toward Devastating War

Little doubt that Putin is a moral leader who is opposed to war and wants the best for all countries. However, by sacrificing the advantage every time he gains it to the nonsensical idea of making an agreement with Washington simply conveys to Washington weakness. Washington thinks Putin is just another person who Washington can walk over. This is a miscalculation, and it will result in war. It would be much better if Putin layed down the gauntlet and made it completely clear that “if you want war, it will be there in 30 minutes.” Suddenly, Russia would be taken seriously.

I admire Putin. But he is playing the wrong game. Instead of parrying Washington’s aggression, he should be aggressive and force Europe and Washington to come to him for a solution.

Putin, the leader of the free world, should not be on the defensive from a bankrupt, two-bit punk, washed up government in Washington that wallows in evil.

David Stockman routinely refers to President Trump as the ‘Great Disrupter’. But this is not a bad quality, he insists. It does not really matter so much, whether the agency of this tipping process (President Trump in this instance), fully comprehends his pivotal role, or plays it out in an intelligent and subtle way, or in a heavy-handed, and unsubtle manner. Either serve the purpose. And that purpose is to disrupt.

After recruiting Trump, the KGB and Moscow have clearly also managed to make all House Republicans their puppets, because the Senate bill that passed last week and slapped new sanctions on Russia (but really was meant to block the production on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia and which Germany, Austria and France all said is a provocation by the US and would prompt retaliation) just hit a major stumbling block in the House.

At least that's our interpretation of tomorrow's CNN "hot take."

Shortly after House Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady of Texas said that House leaders concluded that the legislation, S. 722, violated the origination clause of the Constitution, which requires legislation that raises revenue to originate in the House, and would require amendments, Democrats immediately accused the GOP of delaying tactics and "covering" for the Russian agent in the White House.

He also lashed out at US President Donald Trump’s accusations during his recent visit to Saudi Arabia that Tehran was a sponsor of terrorism in the region, saying “It is really ridiculous for the US, standing next to the tribal and medieval Saudis, to talk about human rights in a place which has no notion of democracy, and to accuse Iran which is the emblem of democracy.”

Five takeaways from Iran's missile strike in Syria

At its most obvious level, Iran's missile attack on the Islamic State command centre in the Syrian city of Dier Ezzor on Sunday may be regarded as the demonstration of an extraordinarily innovative military capability.

Iran says it fired six ground-to-ground missiles from Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) bases in Kermanshah and Kurdistan provinces, both in Western Iran, and that they hit the targets in Deir Ezzur with high precision after flying through the Iraqi airspace.
As Tehran sees it, the Trump team, which lacks experience in international diplomacy, might harbour notions that Iran's moderation in recent years is a sign of weakness or lack of political resolve on the part of the moderate-reformist leadership of President Hassan Rouhani.

Hiding in secret underground bunkers, eating wild birds and pets and saving secretaries but not wives: How government elites planned to survive a nuclear attack

America built a secret network of remote underground bunkers during the Cold War in case of a nuclear strike by the Russians.

But they were not made to protect civilians - the hideouts were just for top government officials.

In a plan as brutal as it was logical, the President and his inner circle would be saved while tens of millions of ordinary Americans would be incinerated.

Realizing that there was no way to save the population, the conclusion was that 'the government would protect itself and let the rest of us die' writes national security expert Garrett M. Graff.

Another 24 terabytes of files were correctly configured to prevent public access. It is unclear whether anyone else had accessed the files before they were secured on June 14.

According to the source, units from the Syrian Arab Army attempted to cross SDF front-lines in order to rescue their fallen pilot; however, they were turned away by the latter.

Thousands of American soldiers and civil servants have lost their lives in the War on Terror. Innocent citizens of many nations, including Americans killed on 9/11, have also paid the ultimate price. While the US government claims to stand against terror, this same government refuses to acknowledge its role in creating what has become a deadly international quagmire. Visas for al-Qaeda: CIA Handouts That Rocked the World sets the record straight by laying the blame on high-ranking US government officials.

Republicans Go On Offensive Against Mueller; Call For 'Special Counsel' To Investigate AG Lynch

Last night, after Trump launched yet another furious tweetstorm intended to expose the double standard applied in the Hillary investigation compared to the Russia probe, we noted that Republicans might be well served to stop sitting around twiddling their thumbs and actually go on the offensive against an investigation that has obviously morphed into mass hysteria courtesy of free-flowing leaks from a conflicted "intelligence community" intent upon bringing down a presidency. Leafly Interview: Dirty Trickster Roger Stone Talks Cannabis Legalization & Trump

Stone filed paperwork earlier this week with the Internal Revenue Service to create the United States Cannabis Coalition, a nonprofit political organization with the same tax-exempt status as super-PACs that influence politicians and elections.

Stone is scheduled to detail the USCC's plans in a keynote speech today at the Cannabis World Congress and Business Exposition in New York.

He spoke with Leafly on Thursday about his legalization advocacy and his new group.
For Trump, but Against Sessions
Stone said he's troubled by Attorney General Jeff Sessions recent request to Congress to grant him authority to prosecute medical cannabis patients in states in which the botanical drug is legal in direct opposition to a 2013 memo from President Barack Obama's Attorney General upholding states rights. Stone called Sessions request devastating.

Special Prosecutor Mueller Is a Political Hack

Anthrax Frame-Up

Mueller presided over the incredibly flawed anthrax investigation.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office says the FBI’s investigation was “flawed and inaccurate”. The investigation was so bogus that a senator called for an “independent review and assessment of how the FBI handled its investigation in the anthrax case.”

The head of the FBI’s anthrax investigation says the whole thing was a sham. He says that the FBI higher-ups “greatly obstructed and impeded the investigation”, that there were “politically motivated communication embargos from FBI Headquarters”.

Moreover, the anthrax investigation head said that the FBI framed scientist Bruce Ivins. On July 6, 2006, the FBI’s anthrax investigation FBI Plaintiff provided a whistleblower report of mismanagement to the FBI’s Deputy Director pursuant to Title 5, United States Code, Section 2303, which noted:

Justice or revenge: Relatives demand punishment after US troops shoot dead Afghan father & 2 sons

The US Military, poorly trained, poorly disciplined. When they get into a fight with a modern military they will have their heads and butts handed to them. Allowing themselves to be enveloped and flanked in Syria shows how unprofessional they are. As does this incident.

The relatives of an Afghan father and two of his sons, who they say were killed and disfigured by heavy US fire in the country's Nangarhar province, told RT they demand the American troops be punished. The US military says it's unaware of civilian casualties.

Zir Gul and his sons were basically torn apart by the US gunfire, with his uncle Ghulam Ahmad saying: It was horrible what the Americans did to them. Even I couldn't recognize their bodies. The tragedy left 12 of Zir Gul's children, six sons and as many daughters, without their provider.

The kids who are now facing a struggle for survival, are both shocked by their father's death and full of anger.

Secret Service Says It Has No "Comey Tapes" Or Transcripts

In a development that may disappoint former FBI Director James Comey, and will certainly displease the press, the Secret Service said Monday that it doesn’t have any audio copies or transcripts of tapes recorded in the Trump White House, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“In response to your request, the Secret Service has conducted a reasonable search for responsive records,” the agency told WSJ. “It appears, from a review of Secret Service’s main indices, that there are no records pertaining to your request that are referenced in these indices.” Such records would typically be subject to the Presidential Records Act, and turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration at the end of a president’s time in office, a topic which gained prominence earlier today when an Illinois Rep. filed the "COVFEFE Act" to preserve all of Trump's tweets for records purposes.

Are We Nearing Civil War?

President Trump may be chief of state, head of government and commander in chief, but his administration is shot through with disloyalists plotting to bring him down.

We are approaching something of a civil war where the capital city seeks the overthrow of the sovereign and its own restoration.

Thus far, it is a nonviolent struggle, though street clashes between pro- and anti-Trump forces are increasingly marked by fistfights and brawls. Police are having difficulty keeping people apart. A few have been arrested carrying concealed weapons.

That the objective of this city is to bring Trump down via a deep state-media coup is no secret. Few deny it.

Philippines' President Rodrigo Duterte 'not aware' of US forces joining battle in besieged city of Marawi

President Rodrigo Duterte has said he was “not aware” US special forces had joined the battle to defeat Isis militants besieging a town in the southern Philippines.

Mr Duterte said he had “never approached America” for help and was “not aware of that until they arrived,” when he was asked about US support to fight the pro-Isis militants in Marawi City, on the island of Mindanao.

The cooperation between the longtime allies in the battle is significant because Mr Duterte, who came to power a year ago, has taken a hostile stance towards Washington and has vowed to eject US military trainers and advisers from his country.

Dear Mr. President, Be Careful What You Wish for: Higher Interest Rates Will Kill the Recovery

Higher interest rates will triple the interest on the federal debt to $830 billion annually by 2026, will hurt workers and young voters, and could bankrupt over 20% of US corporations, according to the IMF. The move is not necessary to counteract inflation and shows that the Fed is operating from the wrong model.

Responding to earlier presidential pressure, the Federal Reserve is expected to raise interest rates this week for the third time since November, from a fed funds target of 1% to 1.25%. But as noted in The Guardian in a March 2017 article titled “Trump Is Set to Win the Battle on Interest Rates, but US Economy Will Pay the Price”:

What type of person could ever knowingly kill innocent children? If a private individual were to intentionally kill innocent children, my hunch is that most everyone would recognize that as the epitome of evil. Trump faces growing Senate resistance on Saudi arms deal

As President Donald Trump aligns with Saudi Arabia amid a fresh dispute among Gulf nations, senators in both parties as soon as Thursday will try to block him from selling more than $500 million in offensive weapons to Riyadh.

The Senate bid to stop the Saudi arms sales — a small portion of what the White House claims will be a $110 billion package — is likely to fail. But the push to tie Trump's hands will probably find more support than a similar brushback pitch directed at President Barack Obama last year, as Democrats are far more united behind the proposal. Not only do Democrats have little reason to give Trump a win on any front, they're also stepping up their outcry over Saudi involvement in Yemen’s worsening civil war.
