Camp Funston was situated within Fort Riley, Kansas, a military training facility housing 26,000 or so doughboys-to-be.

My great gramps died of this in October 1918. I got my discharge from the Army at Riley.The barracks I lived in were at Camp Funston on the Fort Riley Reservation. The US Army has had a bacterial warfare outfit since 1906. I heard they were loading infected pig guts into artillery rounds.
