US military source says there were NO CIA staff on Afghanistan crash jet after Iranian media claimed officer 'behind Soleimani's death' was among those killed

A US military source today said there were no CIA staff on a jet which crashed in Afghanistan on Monday after Iranian media claimed the officer behind Qassem Soleimani's death was among those killed.

The source told the MailOnline the wild claim that Michael D'Andrea was aboard the jet which crashed in Dih Yak, or indeed that any CIA members had been killed, was absurd.

A US official earlier confirmed the bodies of two American personnel had been recovered from the crash site while denying Taliban claims the E-11A communications jet containing 'high ranking officers' had been shot down.

Revealed: Anti-virus company Avast has been selling data from its 435 million users to companies including Google, Microsoft, Home Depot and Pepsi including their web history, location and porn searches

According to a joint investigation by Motherboard and PCMag, Avast, which claims to have more than 435 million users, has been using a subsidiary called Jumpshot to sell user data to companies including Google, Microsoft, Home Depot, Pepsi and more.

Documents and leaked user data obtained in the investigation reveal that information collected by Avast on tens of millions of its users include details that most consider to be sensitive, such as web browsing history, and that some of that data is granular enough to track individual clicks on a web page.

In addition to search histories, location histories, and which videos a user watched on YouTube, documents show that Avast tracked visits to porn sites like PornHub or YouPorn and in some cases logged the time a user visited the site and which specific video they watched and queries they entered.

Two dead satellites orbiting the Earth at 50 feet per second could COLLIDE above the USA on Wednesday creating a dangerous field of debris and space junk

Specialist space tracking company, LeoLabs, said the two objects will pass about 50 feet from one another, which is unusually close and increasing the risk of a collision.

If they collide it will be 560 miles above Pittsburgh, PA at 23:39 GMT on Wednesday, but will have no impact on the Earth as debris would burn up in the atmosphere.

If the satellites hit each other at speed it would destroy the smaller science payload and generate pieces of debris that could potentially hit other satellites.

Nuclear waste warning: Materials widely used to store radioactive waste degrade faster than previously thought and could lead to dangerous leaks, scientists warn

Disposal of nuclear waste involves mixing it with other materials to form glass or ceramics, and then encasing those pieces of glass or ceramics – now radioactive –inside metallic canisters.

These canisters can then be buried deep underground in a repository to isolate the radioactive material and prevent it from interacting with the environment.

However, the team found that the glass and ceramic materials holding nuclear waste can interact with the stainless steel used to make the canisters, accelerating corrosion.

This could affect the service life of nuclear waste storage and exacerbate radioactive contamination into the environment – potentially polluting water sources and risking chronic disease in humans.
