South China Sea threat: Japan sends Beijing dire warning with war ship deployment

JAPAN has issued Beijing with a dire warning as it readies a mammoth warship to set sail through the contested South China Sea.

Tokyo has revealed its plan to send a warship on a three month tour through the contested waters of the South China Sea. Reports suggest the fresh bearing of teeth comes as Beijing attempts to buff-up its claim to sovereignty over the region, of which some seven nations claim a degree of ownership.

Pentagon Shifts Focus Ahead Of Next War, Wants To Relocate Troops To Indo-Pacific Region

Very little headlines come out of the Middle East these days about the two-decade war the US has been fighting against terrorism. But what you hear on an increasing frequency are headlines outlining how Russia and China are the new enemies. The shift happened several years ago when the US military figured out that a great power competition was underway.

Instead of fighting unconventional enemies in the deserts of the Middle East, the Pentagon is preparing for major conflicts against Russia and China.

Hundreds of billions of dollars are being plowed into hypersonics, fifth-generation fighters and bombers, directed energy, space, cyber, quantum science, artificial intelligence, and automation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

(Sigh) Defense Secretary Esper, a word, please; what you are requesting be done, sounds like offence, rather than defense.

And somewhere, in your desire to re-position American troops, please remember; the total troop strength of the US military, as reflected in these numbers from Google:

United States Armed Forces
Reserve personnel 845,600
Deployed personnel 210,000
Expenditures
Budget US$693 billion (2019) (ranked 1st)

Globalfirepower, gives us the numbers on China:
2,693,000

That... gives China roughly a 2/1 advantage in troop strength; and until, Secretary Esper, you address that issue, this re-arrangement of US troops will be somewhat akin to rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

With this government having knowingly lied to the public regarding Afghanistan, how long are you going to keep lying to the American people about the need to conscript, because our armed services are retchedly below quota, across the board?!?

IF the scenario, sir, is a US war against Russia and China, we are already behind the 8 ball, because we have neither the troop strength, or the weaponry to accomplish that mission.

China Just Opened the Suez Canal of Our Era and No One Blinked

A hundred years from now, Donald Trump’s looming impeachment and Syria’s unending travails will be long forgotten. But just as we still celebrated the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Suez Canal in 1869 without remembering who ruled Egypt at the time (Isma’il Pasha), China’s relentless and historically significant push to establish new trading links between East and West—links that promise to revolutionize the world trading system no less than the Suez Canal—will come to define our era.

Two recent developments highlight how the new world is being invented by the Chinese—and how it will affect the Middle East and central Asia.

Snow falling in the Alps on second day of summer

It's the first week of summer and rather than sunshine and heat, it's snowing.

Many parts of Victoria have shivered through a cold and wet start to the hotter months, with snow blanketing the alps, leaving Victorian's reaching for their winter woollies.

Falls Creek and The Hotham Alpine Resort in Victoria and Perisher Ski Resort in New South Wales all saw significant dumps of snow this morning, with falls of between 15cms-30cms recorded.

Coldest summer day on record

Australia's lowest summer daily maximum temperature record was broken this week.

A surge of unseasonably cold air swept over southeastern Australia during the opening days of summer. This air mass produced thick snow in parts of Tasmania, Victoria and NSW and held daytime temperatures as much as 15 degrees below average in some places.

The lowest temperature measured during the opening days of December was -4.0 degrees at Tasmania's Mount Wellington early on Wednesday morning. This was Australia lowest summer temperature in four years.

More impressively, the highest temperature recorded at Thredbo Top Station during the 24 hours to 9am on Tuesday was only -1.0 degrees. This was Australia's lowest summer daily maximum temperature on record, beating -0.8 degrees at Mount Buller from December 25th in 2006.

New Silk Roads in Action at China-Kazakh BorderCentral Asia, between China and Europe, is bustling

We are cruising on a pristine, 380 km-long four-lane superhighway from Almaty to Khorgos – finished in 2016 for $1.25 billion, 85% of the cost covered by a World Bank loan. And then, suddenly, riding parallel to us, there’s the real superstar of New Silk Road connectivity.

Meet Yuxinou, the container cargo train plying back and forth along the 11,000 km-long railway corridor connecting Chongqin in Sichuan province via Xinjiang and Kazakhstan to Russia, Belarus, Poland and finally Duisburg in the Ruhr valley. And all that in a mere 13 days.

Along the way, the Yuxinou stops in, among other places, Almaty, Bishkek, Tashkent, Tehran, Istanbul, Moscow and Rotterdam: a who’s who of Eurasian cities. It carries laptops, BMWs, spare parts, clothes, machinery, international post packages, chemical products, medicine and medical instruments – all manner of goods, made in China and made in Europe. And all that for only 20% of air freight cost.

Iran’s Barter Trade Deals with China, By-Passing the US-Dollar, “Dedollarizing” Her Economy

According to a PressTV Report of 24 November, 2019, Iran and China are working on a trade or barter deal that would circumvent US sanctions. It would bypass US-dollar denominated transactions, exchanging Iranian oil for Chinese goods and services and investments. The head of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA), Masoud Khansari told Teheran’s Tasnim news agency, on 19 November 2019 that “The mechanism, aiming to increase economic exchanges between Iran and China, is in the process of being finalized and implemented.” He meant indeed, a barter deal between the two countries, avoiding a monetary exchange, is being worked out.

ESCOBAR: THE ROAD TOWARD GREATER EURASIA

OURCE: PEPE ESCOBAR VIA THE SAKER BLOG
Kazakhstan’s first president has road map for 21st century: global alliance of leaders for nuclear-free world...

Photo: Asia Times

The Astana Club is one of the most crucial annual meetings in Eurasia, alongside the Boao forum in China and the Valdai discussions in Russia. China, Russia and Kazakhstan are all at the forefront of Eurasia integration. No wonder, then, that the 5th meeting of the Astana Club had to focus on Greater Eurasia – synonymous, it may be hoped, with a “new architecture of global cooperation.”

Astana Club congregates a fascinating mix of Eurasia-wide notables with Europeans and Americans. Virtually all relevant shades of the geopolitical spectrum are represented. Panels are very well structured (I moderated two of them). Discussions are frank and non-denial denials are heavily discouraged. Here is just a taste of what was discussed in Nur-Sultan, under the spectacular shallow dome designed by Norman Foster.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would love to attend one of these meetings; people are talking about trade, peace, and stability in an exciting global experiment, whose time has come.

Rather than the rejection of the "Belt/Road" concept we see in the bowels of power in DC, the US should be embracing the idea; unfortunately, with an American which can no longer really compete, the main concept here is smash and burn, rather than try to create a cooperative environment, where peace and trade can actually flourish, on a global scale.

Looking at this article, I'm reminded of an article shared by Paul Craig Roberts, a gentleman for whom I have a very great amount of respect, a couple of years ago. It's title is rather terrifying, but I think the guy is telling the truth when he says: Washington Plans to Nuke Russia and China The article goes on to say:

"Not everyone likes to hear about the threat of nuclear war. Some find refuge in denial and say that nuclear war is impossible because it makes no sense. Unfortunately, humankind has a long record of doing things that make no sense.

In previous posts in recent years I have pointed out both written documents and changes in US war doctrine that indicate that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear attack on Russia and China. More recently, I have shown that Washington’s demonization of Russia and President Putin, the incessant lies about Russian deeds and intentions, and the refusal of Washington to cooperate with Russia on any issue have convinced the Russian government that Washington is preparing the Western populations for an attack on Russia. It is obvious that China has come to the same conclusion.

It is extremely dangerous to all of mankind for Washington to convince two nuclear powers that Washington is preparing a preemptive nuclear strike against them. It is impossible to imagine a more reckless and irresponsible act. Yet this is precisely what Washington has done."

ISRAELI GOVERNMENT TO EXPAND GLOBAL ARMS EXPORTS IN 2020

SOURCE: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR
The Israeli government is aiming to increase the volume of Israel’s defence exports, reported Globes, which has revealed the main points of the plan for the first time.

The project, being overseen by the Defence Ministry’s International Defence Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) led by Brigadier General (Res.) Yair Kulas, will begin to be rolled out in early 2020.

According to Globes, the plan is based on “focused seminars for senior commanders in foreign armies”, Israeli military “assistance for promoting sales of Israeli weapons”, and “subsidising small and medium-sized defence companies seeking to sell arms around the world”.

Speaking this week, Kulas said that SIBAT favours a major expansion of agreements between countries, resulting in significant deals for the large defence companies, especially Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Rafael Advanced Defence Systems.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised at this development; but one has to wonder how Israeli weaponry really stands up to that of China or Russia, at this point?!?

New report warns Chinese long-range anti-ship missiles outclass US radars

The next war the US will lose big and the American people will find out what war is like. We are in big trouble.

In naval warfare, awareness and range are key. Fleets are by their nature projections of power that contest a given area of the sea, and their commanders must be aware of everything that comes into and goes out of that zone.

A new report by the conservative Hudson Institute think tank warns the US Navy doesn’t have the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) assets to provide the information US fleet commanders need in today’s oceanic battlefields, much less in the expanded naval ops envisioned by the Trump administration.

Why The Hong Kong Riots Are Coming To An End

The Rioters were bought and paid for with American tax payer dollars. There was no legitimacy to these demonstrations. There was no cause they were fighting for.
Just more death and destruction and chaos created by the Empire of Chaos.

The U.S. sponsored riots in Hong Kong are mostly over. They were sustained much longer than we had expected.

Ten days ago the core of the black clad rioters began to paralyze Hong Kong's traffic during regular workdays. They ransacked nearly every metro stations and barricaded large thoroughfares and tunnels. Schools were closed, businesses and workers were severely harmed.

One 70 year old street cleaner was killed when he was hit by a stone thrown by the rioters against civilians who tried to remove a barricade. A 44 year old man was drenched with gasoline and set alight after he verbally disagreed with the rioter's ransacking of a metro station. A policeman was shot with an arrow.

POLIO OUTBREAK IN PHILIPPINES CAUSED BY THE VACCINE, SAYS WHO

SOURCE: WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION
On 19 September 2019, the Philippines declared an outbreak of polio. Two cases have been reported to date, both caused by vaccine-derived poliovirus type 2 (VDPV2). Environmental samples taken from sewage in Manila on 13 August and a waterway in Davao on 22 August have also tested positive for VDPV2.

The first case was confirmed on 14 September following testing by the National Polio Laboratory at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, the Japan National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The case-patient is a 3-year-old girl from Lanao del Sur in the southern Philippines. The virus isolated is genetically linked to VDPV2 previously isolated from environmental samples in Manila and Davao. This indicates that the virus is circulating.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION, WHAT THE HELL?!?

Why did these kids NOT get a combo of the oral, and injected vaccine, to fully protect these kids?!? And I would like to remind these people; once polio has been contracted, there is no cure.

If I were the mom or dad, or family of a kid or kids who got ill from this massive failure of oversight, I would be screaming at the authorities who told them that having one or the other form of protection against polio, but not both, was perfectly fine.

WHEN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HOW THIS WORKED WAS EASILY FOUND IN MEDICAL RESOURCES, WHY WAS THERE NO EFFORT TO INSURE THAT KIDS WERE REALLY PROTECTED FROM THIS DISEASE, BY MAKING SURE THEY HAD BOTH THE ORAL, AND INJECTABLE FORM OF THIS VACCINE IN THEIR SYSTEM?!?

The Red Horse Is “At The Edge Of The Precipice” — China Threatens The U.S. With “Revenge” For Siding With The Hong Kong Protesters

A new “cold war” has officially begun, and it could potentially throw the entire world into a state of chaos. As you will see below, China is warning the U.S. to “rein in the horse at the edge of the precipice” as the conflict between our two nations threatens to spiral out of control.

On Thursday, the ruling Chinese Communist Party’s main newspaper, the People’s Daily, urged the United States to “rein in the horse at the edge of the precipice” and stop interfering in Hong Kong matters and China’s internal affairs.

“If the U.S. side obstinately clings to its course, the Chinese side will inevitably adopt forceful measures to take resolute revenge, and all consequences will be borne by the United States,” it said in a front-page editorial.

Commentary: Hong Kong bill will eventually bring disgrace to the US

The US has already become a disgraceful nation. It is a failed state on the way to 3rd world status and worse. And we have become a laughing stock.

The "performance art" action of the United States Senate passing the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 is a joke.

The bill is cloaked in the rhetoric of "human rights" and "democracy". However, its purpose is to preach "democracy" for the rioters, defending their "right" to violence. It deprives the majority of Hong Kong residents of the right to live, express and work.

Due to violence, Hong Kong's economy experienced negative growth for the first time since 2009. The rioters and radicals paralyzed the city's traffic, set fire to facilities at universities, and caused the death of a 70-year-old street cleaner.

House and Senate Unanimously Support Destabilizing China

I think the Chinese are fed up with the US.

“If the US (continues its hostile actions), China will surely take effective measures to resolutely counteract and firmly safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests.”

The unacceptable measure calls for annual reviews of Hong Kong’s special status. It challenges China’s “one country, two systems” status.

Congressional adoption supports CIA orchestrated violence and chaos in the city.

On Wednesday, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) said Beijing summoned the US embassy Minister Counsellor for Political Affairs William Klein, China’s Foreign Ministry saying:

Its ruling authorities “will take strong opposing measures, and the US has to bear all the consequences.”

Demonstrators in Hong Kong attacked common citizens who attempted to free the roads from barricades amid a new round of clashes with police.

A fierce street battle erupted outside the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) on Sunday, as protesters threw bricks at police, which responded with tear gas and water cannons. Catapulting Hong Kong into democracy? Media glorifies ANARCHY & ‘novel, defensive’ anti-police weapons of protesters

As anti-China protesters transform Hong Kong universities into “weapons factories” and arm themselves with petrol bombs, mainstream media is increasingly impressed by their ingenious and “novel” methods of taking on riot police.

Universities across Hong Kong are shuttering their doors and foreign students fleeing the chaos, as protesters hurl bricks, fire javelins, construct “watchtowers” and start fires on campuses, insisting that they have “no choice” but to resort to the most violent methods.

Yet, mainstream coverage is focusing little on the danger posed to those caught in the crossfire and instead adopting a more admiring tone, which focuses on the students’ ingenuity and the contents of their eclectic armories.

Shocking VIDEO shows Hong Kong mob savagely beating woman with metal rods

Xi needs to send the Army in and put an end to this US backed colored revolution.

A disturbing video shows a woman being surrounded and beaten by masked protesters in Hong Kong. The unsettling footage comes as authorities struggle to clamp down on worsening violence in the semi-autonomous city.

The assault was reportedly sparked by a political disagreement between the woman and a group of armed demonstrators. Video of the attack shows the woman trying to walk away, only to be thrown to the ground by one of the black-clad rioters. One of the men then uses what appears to be a metal rod to beat her over the head.

US War on China by Other Means

All independent nations unwilling to subordinate their sovereign rights to US interests are on its target list for regime change — notably Russia, Iran and China.

The Trump regime initiated Sino/US trade war has nothing to do with trade, everything to do with hardliners in Washington wanting China’s economic, financial, industrial, technological, and military development undermined.

Endless US-orchestrated violence in Hong Kong is one of many examples of how its dark forces aim to disrupt, destabilize, weaken, pressure, and bludgeon other countries to bend to its will.

China Breaks the Western Debt Stranglehold on the World

The west has colonized, exploited, ravaged and assassinated the people of the Global South for hundreds of years.

Latin America is waking up – and so is Africa.

In Latin America, street protests against the US / IMF imposed debt trap and the consequential austerity programs, making the rich richer and the poor poorer, are raging in Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina and even in Brazil. In Argentina,In Latin America, though much of the sub-Continent was “freed” from Spain and Portugal in the 19th Century – a new kind of colonization followed by the new Empire of the United States – under the so-called Monroe Doctrine, named after President James Monroe (1817 -1825), forbidding Europeans to interfere in any “American territory”. Quake-hit Philippines braces for bigger disaster

Three lethal earthquakes have rocked in recent weeks wide areas of the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, killing 17, injuring hundreds and dislocating over 140,000.

That may be just the front edge of a bigger disaster, Philippine seismologists say, amid official warnings that temblors will continue to jolt the southern Philippines through at least December’s Christmas season. The scientists say the region is now in the grip of an “earthquake swarm” that could last for several months.

Indeed, fears are rising that the worst is yet to come, with some seismologists drawing parallels to the country’s deadliest ever earthquake in 1976 in Mindanao, a 7.9 Richter scale temblor that caused a tsunami that killed 8,000 across a 700 kilometer stretch in Mindanao.

It Isn’t Just the Rohingya. Myanmar Is Now Attacking Buddhists in Rakhine State, Too.This latest battle could be the army’s undoing.

MRAUK U, Myanmar—Here in the town of Mrauk U, in Myanmar’s troubled Rakhine state, there has been little to celebrate during this October’s Thadingyut, the second-most important annual festival of the Buddhist calendar. Normally, the auspicious full moon would be hailed with a floating armada of delicate candlelit paper lanterns and song, theater, and dance.

Yet this year, there are no celebrations.

Instead, at 9 p.m. sharp, a curfew falls as soldiers from the Myanmar Army, known as the Tatmadaw, emerge from their posts to pull barbed wire and steel barricades across roads. Shops and businesses shutter, the streets empty and lights flickering out.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With the persecution of Rohingya Muslims by their militant Buddhist overlords, Myanmar has become one hell of a mess, and one which, apparently, Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Aung San Suu Kyi, is impotent to stop.

But Buddhists militarily clashing with their brother and sister Buddhists?!? One has to wonder if one group is planning a coup, and "regime change" for this country.

I never thought, in my life, that I would have to say, "Watch out for the Buddhists!" unfortunately, these acts of the existing Myanmar government, may it impossible NOT to mention this.

Five Years On, Saudi Attacks on Yemen’s Farmers Are Pushing the Whole Country into Famine

Trump and his friends in the Pentagon and Riyadh are responsible for this.

HODEIDA, YEMEN — The country of Yemen, known in the medieval period as “Green Yemen,” is one of the most extensively terraced areas of the world. There, Yemeni farmers transformed rugged mountain slopes into terraces and built dams like the Great Marib, a structure whose history spans long enough that it was mentioned in the Quran. During the medieval period, Yemen had one of the widest ranges of agricultural crops in all of the Middle East.

Farhan Mohammed is one of the richest farmers in Qama’el, a rural village in the region of Baqim in northwestern Yemen. He owns 50 hectares of land which he uses to cultivate corn, pomegranates, and apples. Now, Farhan is struggling to keep his farm afloat after Saudi airstrikes targeted his fields, burning his crops and rendering the soil so toxic that it’s no longer able to sustain life.

Australians Respond to Media Campaign That Calls Out “Creeping Culture of Secrecy”

By Kevin Rennie

The Your Right to Know campaign launched by the major Australian mainstream media organisations on 21 October 2019 has brought about mixed reactions. These range from broad community support to denial by government ministers and senior public servants. It has also faced some predictable cynicism on social media.

The issue of press freedom had reached a crisis point in June with raids by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) on members of two of the country’s largest media organisations, namely the ABC and News Corp.

Australia has no bill of rights or constitutional provisions guaranteeing freedom of speech or a free press. The High Court recently recognised a narrow implied freedom of communication on governmental and political matters...

The fact that Afghanistan sits on a wealth of (strategic) natural resources was recognized indirectly back in 2010 when the Afghan ministry of mines rolled out a $1b (!) estimate of what the country might have, and The New York Times quoted a source in the US Administration as saying that Afghanistan’s list of reserves included copper, gold, cobalt, and even lithium on which the present-day high tech industry is heavily dependent.

A Pentagon memo actually described Afghanistan’s potential lithium holdings (used to make batteries) as big enough to make it the “Saudi Arabia of lithium”.

Turkish airstrikes against Kurdish forces have partially destroyed a 3,000-year-old temple in northern Syria, according to a monitoring group and the Syrian regime.

The neo-Hittite temple of Ain Dara was built in around 1300 BC and is famous for its elaborate images of lions and sphinxes.

The temple was at least 60 per cent destroyed by Turkish forces as they attacked the Kurdish-held area of Afrin, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.

Pictures posted online by the group appeared to show part of the temple had been reduced to rubble.

Olympic fever? Tourists may be unaware Japan IMPORTED Ebola in preparation for 2020 games

The Japanese government has imported strains of Ebola and four other lethal pathogens to research possible countermeasures should an outbreak occur with the vast influx of athletes and tourists at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

The Japanese health ministry's National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) has begun tests on live samples of Ebola, Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever, South American haemorrhagic fever, Marburg disease, and Lassa fever to validate existing and developing tests used to help contain any potential outbreaks and mitigate the risks of a major public health emergency.

9/11 and the War on Terror: Israel's History of False Flag Operations against the U.S.A.

The 911 False Flag.Atrocity was part and parcel of The Yinon Plan for a greater Israel and should be seen in that context.

"We have spent $7 trillion – trillion with a T – $7 trillion in the Middle East. You know what we have for it? Nothing. Nothing." - President Donald Trump, April 28, 2018
Dear Mr. President,

In order to correct our policy we need to understand who got us into this mess in the first place. The 9/11 event as a false flag operation and the War on Terror campaign were both conceived by Israeli military intelligence in the 1970s under the leadership of Menachem Begin, the self-proclaimed "Father of Terrorism" and founder of the Likud party who became prime minister in 1977.

The Israeli trick was to get the U.S. military to neutralize and fragment its enemies, most notably Iraq and Syria, under the pretext of fighting terrorism.

The Turkish Invasion of Kurdish-Occupied Syria

The Turkish invasion of Kurdish-controlled northern Syria has finally brought some much-needed media attention on the U.S. military presence in the war-torn country. The media reports, however, all fail to explain why U.S. troops are in Syria in the first place and the purpose of their presence.

The reason U.S. troops have helped the Kurds seize a quarter of the country is because the policy being pursued is a covert policy to support the non-Arab Kurds to fragment Syria along ethnic lines.

It is actually an Israeli strategy called the Yinon Plan, which was crafted in 1982 by an Israeli advisor to Ariel Sharon. The U.S. involvement in Syria began with President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2012.

This policy was put into effect because it was seen as the best way to "help Israel", according to an email leaked from Hillary Clinton's account.

Forest fires in Homs, Lattakia and Tartous decimate Syrian environment

While everyone is focused on the dramatic events in north-eastern Syria, other areas of Syria are burning. Forest fires in Homs, Lattakia and Tartous are raging across much of the farmland and vast olive and fruit tree groves. This is a disaster for the smallholders who rely upon the yield from these trees for survival and warmth in the soon-to-be-here winter.

These fires are being fought and extinguished by the SYRIAN Civil Defence, the REAL one, the Syrian Civil Defence and Fire Brigades that were established in 1953. These brigades have been the quiet heroes in this 8 year proxy war waged against the Syrian people by the western imperialist alliance.

FLASHBACK: What we saw in Syria goes against everything we read in the United States

What I have been seeing online the last few days proves the point of this 3 year old article. Syrians are turning out by the thousands to greet their Syrian Army Forces. Reminds me of the people in France greeting the American Military in WW2 as they liberated France from the NAZI's!

“When you go to Syria, which I did last month, the popularity of the government and the Syrian Arab Army is rampant. It's not out of some dream fantasy. It comes obviously from the government and the army being the only thing between living a secular life on the one hand and the hatred and violence of ISIS and the various other terrorist groups underwritten by the terrorist Saudis and US and their allies on the other.

Neo-Ottoman Turkey’s ‘String of Pearls’

Since 2015, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been pushing for Syrian “safe zones” and “buffer zones” for humanitarian purposes. However, with the current media focus on the bombardment of Kurds amid the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria, what remains submerged beneath the murky waters of Mideast politics may be Turkey’s back-door strategy to reclaim former Ottoman territories.

TYPHOON HAGIBIS: TWO DEAD AS MOST POWERFUL STORM FOR DECADES HITS JAPAN

Two people have died and nine others are missing after Typhoon Hagibis brought fierce winds and record-breaking rainfall to Japan.

The streets of Tokyo were deserted as those who remained stayed indoors.

Shops, factories and subways have been shut down as a precaution.

The Japanese government said the storm could be the strongest to hit Tokyo since 1958.

Yasushi Kajihara, from Japan's meteorological agency, said: "Be ready for rainfall of the kind that you have never experienced. Take all measures necessary to save your life."

An earthquake measuring 5.3, according to the US Geological Survey, shook the areas which had been drenched by rainfall. The earthquake was in the ocean off Chiba, near Tokyo.

Syrian army moving to face 'Turkish aggression' in country's north – state media

Tensions are mounting in northern Syria as Damascus started moving its forces to face the Turkish troops that are carrying out an operation against the Kurds in the area, state news agency Sana reports.
The Kurdish-led administration in northern Syria said in a statement that an agreement has been reached with Damascus for the Syrian government troops to be deployed along the border with Turkey.

The Syrian army already entered the city of Manbij in the northern province of Aleppo late on Sunday, al-Mayadeen reported. The Kurd militiamen let the government troops pass through their checkpoints unhampered.

Iran: Looking Towards a Bright Future

Iran is a modern society with an ancient history. Together with China it is one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations. For centuries it was the center of an ancient and vibrant culture, that can trace its origins back at least 7000 years before the Christian era.

A knowledge of and understanding of this proud and lengthy history is central to an appreciation of the stance taken by modern Iranian leaders to the imperialist ambitions of the United States whose post World War II presence in the West Asian region (the ‘middle east’ is an entirely European construct and his little geographical significance or meaning).

Empire Uses Kurds as Pawns in its Imperial Pursuits in Syria

The situation in the North East of Syria regarding the Kurds seems to be a topic of confusion for most. Understandably so as they have been made to appear by US politicians and news outlets as the most effective fighters against terrorism in Syria. Although they have in fact been successful in driving out terrorists in some areas there is information that needs to be discussed that explains the other half of the story that is purposely hidden in the Kurdish and mainstream media news outlets. We have only been hearing from the Kurdish side now it’s time for the Syrians in Kurdish held areas to have their chance to tell us about the hardships they have been put under by the Kurds.

The Myth of the Kurdish YPG’s Moral Excellence

It’s difficult to determine with precision how many Kurds are in Syria, but it’s clear that the ethnic group comprises only a small percentage of the Syrian population (less than 10 percent according to the CIA, and 8.5 percent according to an estimate cited by Nikolaos Van Dam in his book The Struggle for Power in Syria.

While the estimates are rough, it’s clear that Kurds make up a fairly small proportion of the Syrian population and that the number of the group’s members living in Syria as a proportion of the Kurd community as a whole is very small.

According to different news outlets, many isis terrorists have broken out of prisons in northern Syria after Turkish shelling

Turkey is recruiting and retraining isis terrorists to lead its invasion of Afrin in northern Syria, according to an ex-isis source.

“Most of those who are fighting in Afrin against the Syrian Kurds are isis, though Turkey has trained them to change their assault tactics,” said Faraj, a former isis fighter from north-east Syria who remains in close touch with isis.

Cannabis: A Lost History

Cannabis, better known as marijuana, has been used for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. Historical remnants from all around the world reveal the importance of cannabis in medicine and spirituality
The earliest written references to cannabis are found in the Chinese Materia Medica, written by Shen Nung around 2800 B.C. Nung documented 100 conditions that responded well to cannabis, including gout and rheumatism
For thousands of years, cannabis remained one of the 50 essential plants used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Vedas, the sacred text of India, also lists cannabis as one of five sacred plants
The ancient Egyptians, Persians and Greeks also used cannabis in a variety of ways, including medicinally and for spiritual upliftment

Damascus vows to confront 'brutal' Turkish aggression by all legal means

“After his continuous support for terrorism in Syria, training, arming, protecting and sending terrorists to kill Syrians, the head of the Turkish regime came up today with statements that can only be made by a person detached from reality. He speaks of his commitment to protect Syrian people whilst he has the blood of the Syrian people killed by terrorists on his hands,” Syria’s official news agency SANA cited an unnamed source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates as saying in a statement on Thursday.

Ankara views the US-backed YPG as a terrorist organization tied to the homegrown Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militant group, which has been seeking an autonomous Kurdish region in Turkey since 1984.

The YPG constitutes the backbone of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an anti-Damascus alliance of predominantly Kurdish militants.

The US military dropped more bombs on Afghanistan in the last month than it has since 2010

U.S. military aircraft dropped more bombs and fired more missiles in Afghanistan last month than it has in nearly a decade, Air Force statistics show.

In September the U.S. military dropped 948 munitions in Afghanistan, according to U.S. Air Forces Central Command's latest summary of wartime missions. The last time so much ordnance was used in Afghanistan was October 2010, when the coalition tracked 1,043 weapons releases.

Both President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Mark Esper have said the U.S. military has escalated attacks against the Taliban following the breakdown of peace talks in early September.

Did China Just Announce the End of U.S. Primacy in the Pacific?

For decades, the United States has taken China’s ballistic missile capability for granted, assessing it as a low-capability force with limited regional impact and virtually no strategic value. But on October 1, during a massive military parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Beijing put the U.S., and the world, on notice that this assessment was no longer valid.

In one fell swoop, China may have nullified America’s strategic nuclear deterrent, the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and U.S. missile defense capability.

The Xinhua series promises the clearest look so far at China’s vision for its Silk Road Economic Belt as well as the Maritime Silk Road. According to the map, the land-based “New Silk Road” will begin in Xi’an in central China before stretching west through Lanzhou (Gansu province), Urumqi (Xinjiang), and Khorgas (Xinjiang), which is near the border with Kazakhstan.

David Icke: Who Did 9/11 and Why? Part One of a Two-Part Interview

David Icke’s new book The Trigger really triggers some people…like The Washington Post‘s passive-aggressive book reviewer Ron Charles, who brags, shedding crocodile tears all the while: “I banned a book. Or at least I helped get it banned, which makes Banned Books Week a little awkward for me this year.”

If Icke is such a nut, and The Trigger is just “harebrained word vomit,” why would anyone—least of all a Washington Post book reviewer who pretends to hate censorship—feel the need to have it banned? The likely answer, of course, is that Charles knows or suspects, consciously or unconsciously, that Israel was behind 9/11.(1)

And why wouldn’t he? Even the most naive and cursory observer of 21st century geopolitics can see that Israel was the biggest beneficiary of 9/11, which brainwashed the whole world to hate Israel’s Muslim enemies, and hijacked the American military to attack and/or destroy nations that Israel considered a threat.

MBS must shelve his vicious war in Yemen

Never underestimate the power of blowback. Right now, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS), the de facto ruler of the House of Saud, is staring at it, an ominous abyss opened by the Houthis in Yemen.

This past weekend, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier Yahya al-Sari clinically described how Ansarallah, also known as the Houthi rebel movement, aided by what Yemenis describe as “popular committees,” captured three Saudi brigades of 2,400 – ragged – soldiers, plus Yemeni and Sudanese mercenaries as well as several hundred battle vehicles. At least 500 Saudi soldiers were killed, Ansarallah said. (A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition denied the claim).

THE UIGHUR ISSUE

According to reliable Chinese sources, from 1990 until 2001 the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) – the Uighurs’ military arm – carried out over 200 terrorist attacks in China and inside Xinjiang.

Obviously this is a danger for the stability of the People’s Republic of China, which cannot afford a jihad area in such a neuralgic position for its defense and its peaceful land and maritime expansion, as anticipated by Xi Jinping.

In the near future this will be the starting point of the jihadist guerrilla warfare – the line of the Belt and Road Initiative defined in 2013.

XINJIANG AND UYGHURS — WHAT YOU’RE NOT BEING TOLD(BY THE CORPORATE/CORRUPT WESTERN MEDIA)

“1 million Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps!” … “Ethnic Cleansing and Cultural Genocide!” … the western media is very effective at using emotional phrases. But what’s the real story? Let’s go beyond exaggeration, distortion and sensationalism.

First of all, the media will never show the peaceful, prosperous parts of Xinjiang:

And Western media won’t talk about the billions of dollars that China has invested in Xinjiang, modernizing the cities, building 21 airports, linking with region with bullet trains etc.

And there are also thousands of mosques in Xinjiang, whose recorded history goes back more than 2000 years when the ancient Silk Road linked China to Italy and Greece. In China, there are mosques that were built in the 10th century, which demonstrates the tolerance and respect for religious rights in Chinese society.

THE US CONFLICT WITH CHINA: CHINA AND THE UYGHURS

The West is engaged in full-scale irregular war to destabilize China. The US created the Uyghur problem in Xinjiang by sponsoring terrorists there–the same tactics it used in Cuba, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya.

Groups like the World Uyghur Congress have offices in Washington D.C. and are funded by the US State Department via the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The NED’s website admits to meddling and breaks down its targeting of China into several regions including mainland, Hong Kong, Tibet, and Xinjiang/East Turkestan (“East Turkestan” is what Uyghur militants and separatists call Xinjiang).

The source of the claim it turns out is a UN independent advisory NGO called Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The sole person making the charge, American committee member Gay McDougall, stated she was “deeply concerned” about “credible reports.” McDougall cited no source for the dramatic charge.

Mr. President, a word, please; just in case all of your "first string advisors", have avoided mentioning this to you, you probably need to know, that India and her Neighbor, Pakistan, are very close to a shooting war over Kashmir.

Both are nuclear-armed. And before you really decide that this guy is about to become your newest, BFF, please note what the Indian government did right after massive demonstrations in the Kashmiri region, was the following:

iNDIA ABOLISHES KASHMIRI AUTONOMOUS STATUS This was done at a moment that all Kashmiri linksto the internet, had been silenced.

The situation between both countries is in a horrific state, with Modi still believing that his "catch phrases" are somehow going to make a difference; so, Sir, when the excrement hits the fan, and a hot shooting war over Kashmir starts, please remember that Pakistanis are very dependent upon China to assist it in military affairs, and we understand from recent posts that Pakistan's leader, Prime Minister Kahn, has made the following, and terrifying suggestion: ‘surrender-or-death’ scenario

Mr. President, I understand the emotional "high" during your rallies, I get it;but President Trump, you, and the other honorable Adults in the Room, internationally, have to start working the phones as quickly as you can, between New Dehli and Islamabad, to avert a catastrophe which may well pit the US and China into a monstrous proxy war between India and China, over Kashmir.

Let's, please, tamp this down, before there is a miserable, irrevocable shooting war, which could go nuclear in a heartbeat.

You are welcome, Mr. President.
