Jubilation! - TTG

If this works,Putin and Trump and Assad should get the Nobel Peace Prize.

Damascus is on her way in achieving her ultimate goal of regaining control over all her territory and achieving peace thanks to VV Putin and the welcome and necessary assistance of DJ Trump. There’s no other way to put it. Elijah Magnier has summarized the current situation in a series of tweets this afternoon. If his summary is accurate, it is indeed good news.

Forest fires in Homs, Lattakia and Tartous decimate Syrian environment

While everyone is focused on the dramatic events in north-eastern Syria, other areas of Syria are burning. Forest fires in Homs, Lattakia and Tartous are raging across much of the farmland and vast olive and fruit tree groves. This is a disaster for the smallholders who rely upon the yield from these trees for survival and warmth in the soon-to-be-here winter.

These fires are being fought and extinguished by the SYRIAN Civil Defence, the REAL one, the Syrian Civil Defence and Fire Brigades that were established in 1953. These brigades have been the quiet heroes in this 8 year proxy war waged against the Syrian people by the western imperialist alliance.

FLASHBACK: What we saw in Syria goes against everything we read in the United States

What I have been seeing online the last few days proves the point of this 3 year old article. Syrians are turning out by the thousands to greet their Syrian Army Forces. Reminds me of the people in France greeting the American Military in WW2 as they liberated France from the NAZI's!

“When you go to Syria, which I did last month, the popularity of the government and the Syrian Arab Army is rampant. It's not out of some dream fantasy. It comes obviously from the government and the army being the only thing between living a secular life on the one hand and the hatred and violence of ISIS and the various other terrorist groups underwritten by the terrorist Saudis and US and their allies on the other.

Neo-Ottoman Turkey’s ‘String of Pearls’

Since 2015, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been pushing for Syrian “safe zones” and “buffer zones” for humanitarian purposes. However, with the current media focus on the bombardment of Kurds amid the Turkish invasion of northeastern Syria, what remains submerged beneath the murky waters of Mideast politics may be Turkey’s back-door strategy to reclaim former Ottoman territories.

TYPHOON HAGIBIS: TWO DEAD AS MOST POWERFUL STORM FOR DECADES HITS JAPAN

Two people have died and nine others are missing after Typhoon Hagibis brought fierce winds and record-breaking rainfall to Japan.

The streets of Tokyo were deserted as those who remained stayed indoors.

Shops, factories and subways have been shut down as a precaution.

The Japanese government said the storm could be the strongest to hit Tokyo since 1958.

Yasushi Kajihara, from Japan's meteorological agency, said: "Be ready for rainfall of the kind that you have never experienced. Take all measures necessary to save your life."

An earthquake measuring 5.3, according to the US Geological Survey, shook the areas which had been drenched by rainfall. The earthquake was in the ocean off Chiba, near Tokyo.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Prayers for all who have been affected, and hopes that those in this monster storm's way, make the right choices in terms of taking the best life-saving precautions they can at t his point.

Japan has deployed tens of thousands of troops and rescue workers after one of the strongest storms in years hit, killing at least 23 people.

Typhoon Hagibis made landfall south of Tokyo on Saturday, moving north and bringing severe flooding.

Seventeen people are missing from the storm, public broadcaster NHK said.

In central Nagano prefecture, water surrounded Japan's famous bullet trains while helicopters plucked stranded residents from rooftops.

A total of 27,000 military troops and other rescue crews have been deployed in relief operations, authorities said.

Syrian army moving to face 'Turkish aggression' in country's north – state media

Tensions are mounting in northern Syria as Damascus started moving its forces to face the Turkish troops that are carrying out an operation against the Kurds in the area, state news agency Sana reports.
The Kurdish-led administration in northern Syria said in a statement that an agreement has been reached with Damascus for the Syrian government troops to be deployed along the border with Turkey.

The Syrian army already entered the city of Manbij in the northern province of Aleppo late on Sunday, al-Mayadeen reported. The Kurd militiamen let the government troops pass through their checkpoints unhampered.

Iran: Looking Towards a Bright Future

Iran is a modern society with an ancient history. Together with China it is one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations. For centuries it was the center of an ancient and vibrant culture, that can trace its origins back at least 7000 years before the Christian era.

A knowledge of and understanding of this proud and lengthy history is central to an appreciation of the stance taken by modern Iranian leaders to the imperialist ambitions of the United States whose post World War II presence in the West Asian region (the ‘middle east’ is an entirely European construct and his little geographical significance or meaning).

Erdogan wants to gain some permanent hegemony over large parts of northern Syria: Tim Anderson

On Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s objectives, Dr. Anderson said, “Erdogan’s goal seems to be to gain (or retain) some permanent hegemony over large parts of northern Syria, making use of a mixture of Syrians and international salafists who support his Muslim Brotherhood party in Turkey; and using as a target the pretext of what he sees as a PKK base across the border.”

Empire Uses Kurds as Pawns in its Imperial Pursuits in Syria

The situation in the North East of Syria regarding the Kurds seems to be a topic of confusion for most. Understandably so as they have been made to appear by US politicians and news outlets as the most effective fighters against terrorism in Syria. Although they have in fact been successful in driving out terrorists in some areas there is information that needs to be discussed that explains the other half of the story that is purposely hidden in the Kurdish and mainstream media news outlets. We have only been hearing from the Kurdish side now it’s time for the Syrians in Kurdish held areas to have their chance to tell us about the hardships they have been put under by the Kurds.

The Myth of the Kurdish YPG’s Moral Excellence

It’s difficult to determine with precision how many Kurds are in Syria, but it’s clear that the ethnic group comprises only a small percentage of the Syrian population (less than 10 percent according to the CIA, and 8.5 percent according to an estimate cited by Nikolaos Van Dam in his book The Struggle for Power in Syria.

While the estimates are rough, it’s clear that Kurds make up a fairly small proportion of the Syrian population and that the number of the group’s members living in Syria as a proportion of the Kurd community as a whole is very small.

Erdogan's isis Cooperation

The heroic Syrian Arab Army and its allies have been fighting a fierce war against multi-national terrorists from all over the globe. The battle against isis was the fiercest.

With the ongoing invasion by Turkey- the main backer of terrorists in Syria- of many towns and villages in North and East Syria, many of isis members and cells were given a boost!

According to different news outlets, many isis terrorists have broken out of prisons in northern Syria after Turkish shelling

Turkey is recruiting and retraining isis terrorists to lead its invasion of Afrin in northern Syria, according to an ex-isis source.

“Most of those who are fighting in Afrin against the Syrian Kurds are isis, though Turkey has trained them to change their assault tactics,” said Faraj, a former isis fighter from north-east Syria who remains in close touch with isis.

Cannabis: A Lost History

Cannabis, better known as marijuana, has been used for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. Historical remnants from all around the world reveal the importance of cannabis in medicine and spirituality
The earliest written references to cannabis are found in the Chinese Materia Medica, written by Shen Nung around 2800 B.C. Nung documented 100 conditions that responded well to cannabis, including gout and rheumatism
For thousands of years, cannabis remained one of the 50 essential plants used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Vedas, the sacred text of India, also lists cannabis as one of five sacred plants
The ancient Egyptians, Persians and Greeks also used cannabis in a variety of ways, including medicinally and for spiritual upliftment

'It’s a lovefest!' Trump announces ‘substantial' partial US-China trade deal on agriculture, intellectual property, & finance

The US and China have reached a “very substantial phase one” deal, US President Donald Trump has declared. Tariffs due to take effect on Tuesday have been canceled, and markets responded with elation.
Phase one of the deal includes intellectual property, financial services, and agricultural purchases, Trump announced on Friday during a meeting with Chinese vice premier Liu He in the Oval Office, adding that the actual agreement may take up to five weeks to write. Planned tariff increases from 25 to 30 percent on some $250 billion in Chinese goods due to take effect next week have been scrapped.

Damascus vows to confront 'brutal' Turkish aggression by all legal means

“After his continuous support for terrorism in Syria, training, arming, protecting and sending terrorists to kill Syrians, the head of the Turkish regime came up today with statements that can only be made by a person detached from reality. He speaks of his commitment to protect Syrian people whilst he has the blood of the Syrian people killed by terrorists on his hands,” Syria’s official news agency SANA cited an unnamed source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates as saying in a statement on Thursday.

Ankara views the US-backed YPG as a terrorist organization tied to the homegrown Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militant group, which has been seeking an autonomous Kurdish region in Turkey since 1984.

The YPG constitutes the backbone of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an anti-Damascus alliance of predominantly Kurdish militants.

The US military dropped more bombs on Afghanistan in the last month than it has since 2010

U.S. military aircraft dropped more bombs and fired more missiles in Afghanistan last month than it has in nearly a decade, Air Force statistics show.

In September the U.S. military dropped 948 munitions in Afghanistan, according to U.S. Air Forces Central Command's latest summary of wartime missions. The last time so much ordnance was used in Afghanistan was October 2010, when the coalition tracked 1,043 weapons releases.

Both President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Mark Esper have said the U.S. military has escalated attacks against the Taliban following the breakdown of peace talks in early September.

Did China Just Announce the End of U.S. Primacy in the Pacific?

For decades, the United States has taken China’s ballistic missile capability for granted, assessing it as a low-capability force with limited regional impact and virtually no strategic value. But on October 1, during a massive military parade celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Beijing put the U.S., and the world, on notice that this assessment was no longer valid.

In one fell swoop, China may have nullified America’s strategic nuclear deterrent, the U.S. Pacific Fleet, and U.S. missile defense capability.

China’s ‘New Silk Road’ Vision Revealed

The Xinhua series promises the clearest look so far at China’s vision for its Silk Road Economic Belt as well as the Maritime Silk Road. One of the most intriguing pieces released Thursday was a map showing China’s ambitious visions for the “New Silk Road” and “New Maritime Silk Road.” It’s the clearest vision to date of the scope of China’s Silk Road plan.

According to the map, the land-based “New Silk Road” will begin in Xi’an in central China before stretching west through Lanzhou (Gansu province), Urumqi (Xinjiang), and Khorgas (Xinjiang), which is near the border with Kazakhstan.

China’s New Silk Road through Syria provokes the US: The Sanctions only help China’s power to grow

A map of the likely final routes of the land and sea trade corridors which China is working to build in cooperation with local nations along the route goes a long way in explaining why the United States is conducting troop exercises, engaging in military conflicts and threatening new military conflicts in key spots along the New Silk Road.

The following map shows the routes of China’s New Silk Road. Each number corresponds to an area where US troops or their allies are either active in a conflict zone or have recently engaged in military exercises.

Just as the US admitted shortly after the so-called “Arab Spring” began spreading chaos across the Middle East that it had fully funded, trained, and equipped both mob leaders and heavily armed terrorists years in advance, it is now admitted that the US State Department through a myriad of organizations and NGOs is behind the so-called “Occupy Central” protests in Hong Kong.

Beware Awakening China

France’s future emperor never saw China, but he was wise enough to understand its immense latent strength and future importance. Two centuries after making this prediction, China has proved the Corsican correct.

While Washington fiddles and burns, Chairman Xi Jinping, the new Chinese emperor, is fast making China great again.

David Icke: Who Did 9/11 and Why? Part One of a Two-Part Interview

David Icke’s new book The Trigger really triggers some people…like The Washington Post‘s passive-aggressive book reviewer Ron Charles, who brags, shedding crocodile tears all the while: “I banned a book. Or at least I helped get it banned, which makes Banned Books Week a little awkward for me this year.”

If Icke is such a nut, and The Trigger is just “harebrained word vomit,” why would anyone—least of all a Washington Post book reviewer who pretends to hate censorship—feel the need to have it banned? The likely answer, of course, is that Charles knows or suspects, consciously or unconsciously, that Israel was behind 9/11.(1)

And why wouldn’t he? Even the most naive and cursory observer of 21st century geopolitics can see that Israel was the biggest beneficiary of 9/11, which brainwashed the whole world to hate Israel’s Muslim enemies, and hijacked the American military to attack and/or destroy nations that Israel considered a threat.

MBS must shelve his vicious war in Yemen

Never underestimate the power of blowback. Right now, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MBS), the de facto ruler of the House of Saud, is staring at it, an ominous abyss opened by the Houthis in Yemen.

This past weekend, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier Yahya al-Sari clinically described how Ansarallah, also known as the Houthi rebel movement, aided by what Yemenis describe as “popular committees,” captured three Saudi brigades of 2,400 – ragged – soldiers, plus Yemeni and Sudanese mercenaries as well as several hundred battle vehicles. At least 500 Saudi soldiers were killed, Ansarallah said. (A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition denied the claim).

Western Media Portrays Hong Kong Hooligans as Heroes. But Are They?

Whenever Hong Kong protesters are destroying public property, there are no cameras of Western media outlets in sight. But when police decide to intervene, protecting their city, Western media crusaders emerge in full force.

On September 15, 2019, huge US flags were waving in the air. A massive demonstration, consisting of mainly young people, was moving up from the old British-built downtown area of the city towards the US Consulate General, often erroneously called the “embassy.”

The temperature was well over 30 degrees Celsius, but the number of ‘protesters’ kept growing. Many of the main arteries in Hong Kong were entirely blocked.

Once again the US governments policy of intervening in the affairs of other countries, anywhere and everywhere is behind all of this turmoil and bloodshed.
The Policy of non-interference in the affairs of other nations as espoused by George Washington in His Farewell Address should be followed, otherwise the USA is headed for much more trouble.

THE UIGHUR ISSUE

According to reliable Chinese sources, from 1990 until 2001 the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) – the Uighurs’ military arm – carried out over 200 terrorist attacks in China and inside Xinjiang.

Obviously this is a danger for the stability of the People’s Republic of China, which cannot afford a jihad area in such a neuralgic position for its defense and its peaceful land and maritime expansion, as anticipated by Xi Jinping.

In the near future this will be the starting point of the jihadist guerrilla warfare – the line of the Belt and Road Initiative defined in 2013.

XINJIANG AND UYGHURS — WHAT YOU’RE NOT BEING TOLD(BY THE CORPORATE/CORRUPT WESTERN MEDIA)

“1 million Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps!” … “Ethnic Cleansing and Cultural Genocide!” … the western media is very effective at using emotional phrases. But what’s the real story? Let’s go beyond exaggeration, distortion and sensationalism.

First of all, the media will never show the peaceful, prosperous parts of Xinjiang:

And Western media won’t talk about the billions of dollars that China has invested in Xinjiang, modernizing the cities, building 21 airports, linking with region with bullet trains etc.

And there are also thousands of mosques in Xinjiang, whose recorded history goes back more than 2000 years when the ancient Silk Road linked China to Italy and Greece. In China, there are mosques that were built in the 10th century, which demonstrates the tolerance and respect for religious rights in Chinese society.

THE US CONFLICT WITH CHINA: CHINA AND THE UYGHURS

The West is engaged in full-scale irregular war to destabilize China. The US created the Uyghur problem in Xinjiang by sponsoring terrorists there–the same tactics it used in Cuba, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya.

Groups like the World Uyghur Congress have offices in Washington D.C. and are funded by the US State Department via the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The NED’s website admits to meddling and breaks down its targeting of China into several regions including mainland, Hong Kong, Tibet, and Xinjiang/East Turkestan (“East Turkestan” is what Uyghur militants and separatists call Xinjiang).

China’s Uyghur Problem — The Unmentioned Part

In August Reuters published an article under the headline, “UN says it has credible reports that China holds million Uighurs in secret camps.” A closer look at the article reveals no official UN policy statement, but rather a quote from one American member of an independent committee that does not speak for the UN, a member with no background in China. The source of the claim it turns out is a UN independent advisory NGO called Committee on Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The sole person making the charge, American committee member Gay McDougall, stated she was “deeply concerned” about “credible reports.” McDougall cited no source for the dramatic charge.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; just in case all of your "first string advisors", have avoided mentioning this to you, you probably need to know, that India and her Neighbor, Pakistan, are very close to a shooting war over Kashmir.

Both are nuclear-armed. And before you really decide that this guy is about to become your newest, BFF, please note what the Indian government did right after massive demonstrations in the Kashmiri region, was the following:

iNDIA ABOLISHES KASHMIRI AUTONOMOUS STATUS This was done at a moment that all Kashmiri linksto the internet, had been silenced.

The situation between both countries is in a horrific state, with Modi still believing that his "catch phrases" are somehow going to make a difference; so, Sir, when the excrement hits the fan, and a hot shooting war over Kashmir starts, please remember that Pakistanis are very dependent upon China to assist it in military affairs, and we understand from recent posts that Pakistan's leader, Prime Minister Kahn, has made the following, and terrifying suggestion: ‘surrender-or-death’ scenario

Mr. President, I understand the emotional "high" during your rallies, I get it;but President Trump, you, and the other honorable Adults in the Room, internationally, have to start working the phones as quickly as you can, between New Dehli and Islamabad, to avert a catastrophe which may well pit the US and China into a monstrous proxy war between India and China, over Kashmir.

Let's, please, tamp this down, before there is a miserable, irrevocable shooting war, which could go nuclear in a heartbeat.

You are welcome, Mr. President.

The invention of guns followed the development of the explosive black powder in China. The end of the Cold War and collapse of the Soviet Union saw tensions between the Western Bloc and the People’s Republic of China escalate, and a potential conflict with the Western Bloc and particularly the United States thus emerged as the primary focus of Chinese defence planning. The U.S. bombing of the Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia, reports of Western support for anti government riots which killed several PLA soldiers in 1989, and U.S. threats of war against North Korea, all led the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) leadership to escalate preparations for the possibility of U.S. military action in northeast Asia.

China's Giant $400 Billion Iran Investment Complicates U.S. Options

Sanctions,Smanctions! Checkmate!

Amidst historic U.S. – Iran tensions, Beijing is doubling-down on its strategic partnership with Tehran, ignoring U.S. efforts to isolate the Islamic Republic from global markets. Here is How China-US Trade War Impacts Iran

In the last week of August, China added crude oil imports from the US to its tariff list for the first time in a retaliatory decision against the US decision to impose fresh tariffs on Chinese products. China imports about 6 per cent of its crude oil from the US. For an economy that increasingly relies on crude oil imports, this decision carries a lot of significance.
First, in terms of trade war, Chinese tariffs on oil imports from the US will undermine the US position as the world’s ‘new champion oil producer.’
China, accordingly, is also investing about 120 billion dollars in Iran’s transport and manufacturing infrastructure.China’s investment also comes with Chinese troops on the ground in Iran. Sending a clear message to the US, about 5,000 Chinese security personnel will be placed in Iran to protect Chinese projects from possible sabotage attempts by the rivals countries through their sponsored non-state actors, or even directly.

On the ground, feeling the pulse of Protest Hong Kong

What’s going on deep down in Hong Kong? For a former resident with deep cultural and emotional ties to the Fragrant Harbor, it’s quite hard to take it all in just within the framework of cold geopolitical logic. Master filmmaker Wong Kar-Wai once said that when he came up with the idea for Happy Together, he decided to shoot the story of his characters in Buenos Aires because that was as far away from Hong Kong as possible.
I started my journey in my former ‘hood, Sai Ying Pun, where I lived in a studio in an average, slim, ultra-crowded Cantonese tower (I was the only foreigner) across the street from the beautiful, art deco St Louis school and not far from Hong Kong University. Although only a 20-minute walk over the hills to Central – the business and political heart of the city – Sai Ying Pun is mostly middle class with a few working-class pockets, only recently marching towards gentrification after a local MTR – subway – station was launched.

by Jon Hellevig for The Saker Blog

Last week was full of portentous events. Only somebody who has not been awake for the last few years will fail to realize how these at first sight unconnected events are part of the same matrix. There was the ever louder talk in mainstream media about an approaching global recession, inverted yield curves and the negative yields, which tell us that the Western financial system is basically in coma and kept alive only by generous IV injections of central bank liquidity. By now it has dawned on people that the central bankers acting as central planners in a command economy and printing money (aka quantitative easing) to fuel asset bubbles are about to wipe off the last vestiges of what used to be a market economy.

Then we saw Trump taking new twitter swipes at China in his on-and-off “great trade deal” and the stock markets moving like a roller coaster in reaction to each new twitter salvo.

These include India, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Health Concerns Have Stopped 5G Rollout in Australia!

By B.N. Frank

No matter how proponents try to spin it, the Telecom Industry has provided NO scientific evidence that 5G exposure is safe and many credible doctors and scientists insist that IT ISN’T. Symptoms from exposure include irritated eyes, increased sweating, and more. In fact, people and their pets are already suffering from exposure where it’s been installed.

This being said — a big congratulations to Aussies for stopping 5G from being installed in the Land Down Under...

Geopolitical Tectonic Plates are Shifting

With the world on fire in so many places, trying to write an overview can be a daunting task when a book-sized effort is really needed. But our commentaries here can help readers begin to connect the dots as to why this is all happening, what the downside risks are to us, and what options we have to try to approach it better.

Russia and Iran build powerful alliance countering USA and Saudi Arabia

The situation on the world market of oil is reminiscent of a game of tennis with the participation of four players. Russia and Iran play in tandem to raise oil prices, while the tandem of the United States and Saudi Arabia has a goal to cause oil prices to collapse. The players realize that the winner will dictate rules of the game in world politics.

Chinese-Thai Military Cooperation Expanding

Recent news of Bangkok signing a 6.5 billion Thai Baht deal with China to procure a naval landing ship (a landing platform dock or LPD) further illustrates growing ties between Beijing and Bangkok in the sphere of military matters.

The Thai Royal Navy’s only other ship of similar capabilities is the HTMS Angthong, built by Singapore, Bangkok Post reported.

The deal comes in the wake of several other significant arms acquisitions made by Bangkok in recent years including 39 Chinese-built VT-4 main battle tanks (with another batch of 14 being planned), China’s Type-85 armoured personnel carriers and even the nation’s first modern submarine made by China expected to be in service by 2023.

Beijing, Moscow can balance negative impact from US — Chinese experts

In pundits' thinking, the damage Washington had done to the global economy was particularly affecting the United States’ allies.

BEIJING, September 18. /TASS/. China and Russia have been successfully acting as protectors of global security amid the failure of the United States’ foreign policy, particularly in relation to Afghanistan, said Chinese experts interviewed by the Global Times newspaper.

"After the collapse of peace talks between the US and the Taliban, a Taliban delegation met with Russian officials in Moscow, and China is also maintaining communications with relevant forces in Afghanistan. This is proof that China and Russia are all contributing to regional peace, while the US is failing," said Yang Jin, an associate research fellow at the department of East European, Russian and Central Asian Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Welcome to the Indo-Russia maritime Silk Road

There’s no way to follow the complex inner workings of the Eurasia integration process without considering what takes place annually at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

BRICS for the moment may be dead – considering the nasty cocktail of economic brutalism and social intolerance delivered by the incendiary “Captain” Bolsonaro in Brazil. Yet RIC – Russia-India-China – is alive, well and thriving.

That was more than evident after the Putin-Modi bilateral summit in Vladivostok.

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam to withdraw extradition bill

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has said she will withdraw the highly controversial extradition bill which has triggered months of protests.

The proposal, introduced in April, would have allowed criminal suspects to be extradited to mainland China.

The bill was suspended in June but Ms Lam stopped short of scrapping it.

Full withdrawal was one of five key demands of protesters, who also want full democracy. Some rejected Ms Lam's move and vowed to keep on protesting.

In a televised address on Wednesday, Ms Lam also announced other measures that appeared to be designed to soothe unrest.

She said two senior officials would join an existing inquiry into police conduct during the protests. An independent investigation into alleged police brutality against protesters is another of the activists' key demands.

By John Vibes

Indigenous people all over the world are currently facing genocide at the hands of governments and corporations who are seizing their land by force for financial gain.

One Last Ceasefire Before Oblivion for Jihadists in Syria

If the battle is won, in essence, and the jihadists on the run, why call a ceasefire now?

Simple. Turkey needs to be able to recall its troops from the area and disengage with the rebels it has been backing there for years. That was what Erdogan bargained for in Moscow, the lives of his troops.

That should tell you how serious Putin is about retaking Idlib and how little patience he has now for Erdogan’s nonsense.

The Push to Kill Cash – Australia’s Proposed Ban Shows It’s Not Conspiracy Theory

By Graham Smith

The supposed coordination of governments and tech companies to create a one-world, cashless society is often viewed as little more than fodder for silly YouTube conspiracy videos. After all, cash is still king in daily life, even in extremely high-tech, innovative societies like Japan. Upon closer examination, though, current realities like Australia’s proposed cash transaction ban for 2020, the continuing removal of higher denomination bills from several world economies, and the creation of centralized, state cryptocurrencies by governments worldwide cannot be ignored.

These trends signal a global push to kill paper money in the name of safety, security, and financial inclusion...

China to build military base near Chabahar?

BEIJING: US President Donald Trump’s recent outburst on Pakistan will further boost economic and defence ties between Beijing and Islamabad, including China acquiring a Pakistani military base close to Iran’s Chabahar port, an official media report said on Friday.
Trump’s January 1 Twitter attack against Pakistan where he accused it of providing safe havens to terrorists appears to be helping boost already close ties between Pakistan and China, a report in the state-run Global Times said. It attributed Islamabad’s decision to allow Chinese currency in bilateral trade and financing transactions as China has stepped up its investments in the $50 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

General Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission, has pledged that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will move to boost defence ties with the Korean People’s Army (KPA) in neighbouring North Korea. The announcement came shortly after a high level meeting between PLA and KPA delegations in Beijing, the latter headed by director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army Kim Su Gil. General Zhang stated regarding plans or closer ties: “The Chinese People’s Liberation Army is ready to work along North Korea to implement the important consensus, which was achieved by the leaders of our nations,” and that both countries were “ready to contribute to peace and stability in the region together.”

What’s Russia Up to in the Iranian Port of Chabahar? The North-South Transport Corridor (NSTC)

There have been wild reports over the past few weeks about Russia’s activities in the Iranian port of Chabahar, with some sources even alleging that Moscow plans to open up a naval base there.

***

An interesting sequence of events has recently taken place that makes many wonder what Russia’s up to in the Iranian port of Chabahar. It’s widely known that Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, and India are cooperating on the North-South Transport Corridor (NSTC) project to integrate each of their economies more closely together, with Chabahar being this initiative’s terminal port in connecting India to the other three and also Central Asia.

Trump Regime Hardball with China a Losing Strategy

China is a major player on the world stage, geopolitical know-nothing Trump outclassed, outshined, and outwitted by its ruling authorities.

He’s an embarrassment compared to other major world leaders, a laughing stock geopolitical wrecking ball.

His regime’s unacceptable Indo/Pacific agenda made resolving major differences with China all the harder — notably US dirty hands all over months of disruptive protests in Hong Kong, along with selling F-16 warplanes and other heavy weapons to Taiwan.

Hong Kong in US’ crosshairs? No matter where there’s revolution, we’re there, Ron Paul says

The United States has a habit of involving itself in political unrest all over the world, Ron Paul said, noting that Washington lacks the moral authority to lecture China about the unrest in Hong Kong.

The former Texas congressman and presidential candidate said that he wasn’t surprised by reports of US involvement in demonstrations that have rocked Kong Hong since March.

“No matter where there’s a revolution starting or stirring, we’re there, because we have a lot at stake,” he told Politicking host Larry King.

Paul sharply criticized statements made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other US lawmakers warning China of consequences if the crisis in Hong Kong wasn’t settled to Washington’s liking.

This Futuristic Hospital Has Introduced Nature As Medicine

By Dulce Ruby

Lush garden views and natural landscapes aren’t usually the first thing you envision when you think of hospitals, but Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in Singapore is changing all of that.

When it comes to reenvisioning healthcare and the mental state of those who are admitted, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital is really advancing how we care for those who have fallen ill. Whether it is due to lack of prior proper care, one’s diet & lifestyle, or a stagnancy to one’s energy creating blockages — and in turn illness — it is important that we look at this field and industry (medical/healthcare) as one of the most crucial for shifting humanity...

Hong Kong phooey! Would you like any hypocrisy with that?

Where to start? For nearly 40 weeks hundreds of thousands of French people have been on the streets in anti-government demonstrations against President Emmanuel Macron’s rule.

Some have lost eyes and hands in the police response. The public has begun to view the smell of tear gas as a normal part of a weekend in Paris. France is 29 miles from the coast of England. Siri just told me that “Hong Kong is about 5,992 miles from London as the crow flies.”

So complete has been the British media blackout on the Yellow Vests that many believe, wrongly, that there is some British government order banning on any mention of “les événements en France.” The truth is that there is no need for one.

Like a homing pigeon in reverse the entire UK media has flown like a bat out of hell away from France all the way to Hong Kong (as they had earlier flown to Caracas until the big protests turned into the wrong kind of protests).

How AIIB's Local-Currency Lending & China's Alternative to SWIFT Help Flee the Dollar

The China-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has shifted to lending in national currencies in order to reduce the negative impact of the US-driven trade war. The initiative could be boosted by the emergence of Beijing's alternative to SWIFT, largely regarded as a challenge to the dollar's dominance.

In July 2019, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) started offering local-currency financing to private companies in India, Indonesia, Thailand, Turkey and Russia.

"The AIIB's offer meets the financing needs of local companies at a time when they are feeling increasingly insecure about the US dollar, as the Trump administration often imposes financial sanctions on other countries", Global Times, a daily Chinese newspaper outlined on 17 July.

Tokyo ‘ignores reality’ when it puts the Russian Kuril Islands on its 2020 Olympics map – Moscow

Moscow said Tokyo is ignoring the outcome of World War II, after Japan’s official map for its upcoming 2020 Olympic Games marked the Russia-controlled Kuril Islands as its own territory.

From time to time, the Japanese government “is trying to ignore reality, namely, Russia’s unquestionable sovereignty over the Southern Kurils,” foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday. Tokyo has consistently been protesting against “our legitimate activity” on the islands, which doesn’t help bilateral ties, she added.

Zakharova was referring to a map of Japan published on the official website of the 2020 Summer Olympics. It represented not only the five main Japanese islands of Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, Hokkaido and Okinawa, but also the Kurils and a group of disputed islands known as Dokdo in Korea and Takeshima in Japan.

The territorial dispute over the Kuril Islands has been poisoning relations between Russia and Japan for several decades.

"New Cold War" Unleashing "Geopolitical Chaos": China Reacts To US Offensive Missiles In Asia

China's Global Times — the communist country's hawkish, belligerent state tabloid — has responded to the Pentagon's Friday announcement stating the US is looking to deploy intermediate range ballistic missiles to Asia "within months," warning "it will certainly trigger an intense arms race in the region."

Its editorial board, long understood as a mouthpiece of the state, has slammed remarks made by US Defense Secretary Mark Esper outlining the new mid-range ballistic missile deployment plans, crucially which came immediately on the heels of the formal collapse of the landmark US-Russia INF treaty, saying American greed and naked drive for hegemony will spark a dangerously unprecedented arms race which will fuel further "instability" across Asia.

Last week, the US invited Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Norway, South Korea, the UK, and several other countries to join a maritime protection mission in the Persian Gulf region to counter Iran .

Tokyo won't send ships to join the US-led maritime force to guard tankers in the Strait of Hormuz amid an escalation of tensions between Tehran and Washington, Japan's Mainichi Shimbun has reported. According to the newspaper, however, Japan may send warships independently in order to protect their vessels in the region.

Lessons For America From India's War Against Muslim Illegal Migrants

India’s 2,582 mile border with Bangladesh is even longer than America’s 1,954 mile border with Mexico.

America’s Border Patrol has less than 20,000 people. India’s Border Security Force (BSF) has 186 battalions and 257,363 people. It’s a paramilitary organization with an intelligence network, ten artillery units, air and marine wings, and canine and even camel units. And the weapons aren’t just there for show.

And now it’s turning to the problem of the millions of illegal Bangladeshi Muslim ‘infiltrators’ in India.

Last year, around the same time that the media was fulminating over remarks by President Trump, Amit Shah, the head of India’s conservative ruling BJP, was being attacked for calling illegal aliens, “termites”.

"Millions of infiltrators have entered our country and are eating the country like termites. Should we not uproot them?” Shah asked voters in West Bengal, which is threatened by illegal Bangladeshis.

Webmaster's Commentary:

While I do not condone the shootings or references to illegal immigrants as "termites", India's “detect-delete-deport” program, appears to be working far better than does the US immigration policy for its citizens.
