FBI agents last Thursday interviewed a man claiming to be the long-sought mystery witness who found the body of Vince Foster. He was delivered to them by an alumnus of the bureau, Gordon Liddy of Watergate notoriety, who informed the agents the witness said he saw no gun in the hand of the dead White House aide.

All reports had a revolver found in Foster's hand. Thus, if this indeed is the "man in the white van" alleged to have first discovered Foster's body, an assertion that he saw no gun would pose serious questions for Whitewater Special Counsel Robert Fiske's investigation.

Assuming Foster committed suicide, did he do so in an inconvenient place? Then, did someone move his body and put it in a park on the Virginia shore of the Potomac? If so, who did it?

REVEALED: CIA's gruesome 1960s experiments to create 'remote control' dogs by implanting electrodes into their brains which saw one animal killed after being shocked 2,000 times

Documents of the CIA's 1960s 'remote controlled' dog experiments were declassified in 2018, but images of the canines fitted with electrodes in their brains have recently emerged.

The black-and-white photos show beagles strapped with a receiver-stimulator on their back and a protective helmet covering where the devices were surgically placed in their skulls.

The newly declassified documents also describe three tests subjects in the program that endured shocks up to 90 volts, with one being zapped 2,000 times until it began convulsing and died.

The research setout to determine if it is feasible to control them through brain-stimulation reward, but it is not known if any of the surviving dogs were used in military missions.

The top secret experiments were part of the infamous mind control project MKUltra, which conducted hundreds of experiments sometimes on unwitting citizens to assess the potential use of LSD.

For Germany the war originated in the Versailles Treaty that stripped Germany of territory and imposed reparations for World War I in violation of President Wilson’s Fourteen Points. Hitler wanted German territory returned from France, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, and Poland, and to unify the German people.

For Japan it was desire for colonies or empire like the Europeans and the need for raw materials and energy.

For the British disturbed by revanchist Germany the concern was maintaining British hegemony over Europe. For Churchill war was the road to power and an opportunity to be a great war leader like his famous ancestor, the Duke of Marlborough.

For Stalin it was an opportunity to expand communism once Britain, France, and Germany had exhausted themselves in another war.

Remembering Allan McDonald: He Refused To Approve Challenger Launch, Exposed Cover-Up

On Jan. 27, 1986, Allan McDonald stood on the cusp of history.

McDonald directed the booster rocket project at NASA contractor Morton Thiokol. He was responsible for the two massive rockets, filled with explosive fuel, which lifted space shuttles skyward. He was at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida for the launch of the Challenger "...to approve or disapprove a launch if something came up," he told me in 2016, 30 years after Challenger exploded.

His job was to sign and submit an official form. Sign the form, he believed, and he'd risk the lives of the seven astronauts set to board the spacecraft the next morning. Refuse to sign, and he'd risk his job, his career, and the good life he'd built for his wife and four children.

"And I made the smartest decision I ever made in my lifetime," McDonald told me. "I refused to sign it. I just thought we were taking risks we shouldn't be taking."

Lost Alaskan Indigenous fort rediscovered after 200 years

In 1804, Tlingit warriors sheltered behind the walls of a wooden fort on a peninsula in southeastern Alaska, preparing to repel a Russian amphibious assault. An archaeological survey near the modern community of Sitka recently revealed the hidden outline of the now-legendary fort, whose exact location had been lost to history since shortly after the battle.

The Tlingit had already sent Russia packing once, in 1802, after three years of mounting tensions over the Russian-American Trading Company (a venture akin to the better-known British East India Company), which had a presence on what is now called Baranof Island. Because the Tlingit elders—especially a shaman named Stoonook—suspected that the Russian troops would soon be back in greater numbers, they organized construction of a fort at the mouth of the Kaasdaheen River to help defend the area against assault from the sea.

The idea for a flight expedition on Mount Everest was originally proposed in 1918 by a British mountaineer physiologist, Alexander Callus, in his journal "The possibility of aerial possibility in the Himalayas".

As a skilled climber and expert in physiology, Callus believed that with the right precautions and the right equipment, given the time, he established the means to enable aircraft to fly efficiently, not just at such extreme altitudes. But also take useful reconnaissance photos.

However, it will take another 15 years for the technique to take hold. The effort could not be made without significant funds and in September 1932 Lord Clydesdale visited Lady Houston at Kinnera, his Scottish shooting estate, asking her to finance the expedition. There are so many problems with the official story.

Here are just a few big ones:

1. The deranged young man who allegedly committed this crime weighed about 120 pounds.

If you calculate all the weapons and ammo the shooter was said to be carrying, it would have weighed nearly as much as him.

2. Breaking into (or shooting open) secured doors such as the school had is not something an amateur is likely to get right on the first try. It’s a SWAT team level skill that requires much training and practice.

Recall in addition to this, the shooter was supposedly carrying 100+ pounds of gear. Quite an acrobatic feat for a 120 pound young man who was not known to be in super fit physical condition.

Zodiac Killer mystery code cracked 50 years after murder spree

A piece to the puzzle in one of America’s most talked-about unsolved mysteries apparently fell into place as news surfaced Friday that a code in the Zodiac Killer case had been solved by a group of private citizens.

The FBI San Francisco Division on Friday announced it is aware and investigating reports that a written puzzle from the Zodiac case – known as the 340 Cipher – was apparently cracked. The message was originally sent to the San Francisco Chronicle more than 50 years ago.

“The Zodiac Killer terrorized communities across Northern California and even though decades have gone by, we continue to seek justice for the victims of these brutal crimes,” the FBI tweeted in a statement. “Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation and out of respect for the victims and their families, we will not be providing further comment at this time.”

Pearl Harbor: An Orchestrated Event?

Today is the 79th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the event that brought the US into the war against Germany and Japan. Eight American battleships were sunk or put out of action, and about 3,600 American sailors were killed or wounded.

Washington needed scapegoats, and Admiral Husband Kimmel and General Walter Short were saddled with the blame for American unpreparedness for the Pearl Harbor attack. As time passed circumstantial evidence came to light that President Roosevelt knew of the attack and permitted the devastation in order that the American people would be so outraged by the attack as to give up their resistance to being dragged into another European war. The controversy continued for some years. I am unsure that it was ever resolved.
