FLASHBACK - All Aboard Russia's Nuclear Weapon Apocalypse Train

A new rail-mounted intercontinental ballistic missile is due to hit Russian railroads in 2020. Russian state media has announced the BZhRK "Barguzin" rail-mounted nuclear missile will begin testing in 2019 and enter service the following year. The scheme is designed to make the country's nuclear arsenal more mobile and thus more difficult to locate in wartime.

One of the many problems with ICBMs is they are high-priority targets in the event of nuclear war. That is, each belligerent would want to destroy the other's nuclear weapons, and those weapons are sitting ducks if they're stuck in missile silos and the enemy knows where they are. To get around this problem, Russia has chosen to put many of its ICBMs on gigantic wheeled, mobile launchers.

FLASHBACK - Russia successfully tests missiles that fire from 'nuclear trains'

Russia has successfully tested intercontinental ballistic missiles intended for its "nuclear trains" program.

Tests on missiles for the Barguzin "railway-based combat rocket system" were carried out at the Plesetsk cosmodrome two weeks ago, the state-owned Interfax news agency reports.

Lawmakers Unveil Bipartisan Bill To Freeze Funding For Gain-of-Function Research

Bipartisan lawmakers on Friday unveiled a bill that seeks to freeze taxpayer-funding for gain-of-function research for a period of five years.

The legislation, called the Pausing Enhanced Pandemic Pathogen Research Act, was introduced by Reps. Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), Buddy Carter (R-Ga.), and Henry Cuellar (D-Texas).

According to a press release from the lawmakers, the bill is in response to a recent report by The Intercept, which indicated that the United States had funded gain-of-function research at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) that many believe may have led to the ongoing CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic.

Infectious disease expert and NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci has come under intense scrutiny following the release of the documents by the news outlet, which detailed the use of federal money by the U.S.-based health organization, EcoHealth Alliance, to fund bat coronavirus research at the WIV.

FLASHBACK - Experimenting with a new Spanish flu is everybody’s business

There may be a fatal tumour in your brain. The only way we’ll know is if I cut it open – but there’s a chance that might kill you. Shall I go ahead?

We’ve just been confronted with a question a bit like this by scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They insist the only way to guard against the outbreak of a deadly flu epidemic like the Spanish flu of 1918 is to create viruses very similar to those responsible. Not to study them in the wild, mind, but to actively engineer from bird flu genes a strain that can pass in airborne droplets from one animal – or perhaps species – to another. Sure, it is dangerous. But what about the risk of doing nothing?

China Blasts U.S.' 'Cliques' Before Planned Meeting With Japan, India and Australia

Leaders from the four countries, referred to as the "Quad," will meet next week in person for talks in the interest of "promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific," the Biden administration said.

Taiwan, which China claims as part of its territory, conducted military exercises Wednesday on rural roads to prepare for any possible Chinese attacks on its main airfields. The action comes as China has increased its assertiveness in the East and South China Seas, pushing Taiwan to bolster its defense and the U.S. and allies to bolster cooperation in structuring a sufficient response, the AP reported.

US, UK To Share Nuclear Submarine Technology With Australia In "Historic" Military Pact Against China

After breaking news of the the historic pact between the US, UK and Australia earlier, we have now gotten confirmation and additional information about the pact.

As the SCMP confirmed, the US, Britain and Australia announced on Wednesday a "historic" security alliance to strengthen military capabilities in the Pacific, which will share advanced defense technologies and give Australian forces nuclear submarine technology further extending Washington's drive for military cooperation that has angered China (although we are confident Gen Milley has already shared said nuclear technology with China so their anger will probably be contained).

Taiwan and Japan's joy at AUKUS submarine pact to take on China: Relief among the West's Pacific allies while furious Beijing warns it 'undermines peace', France fumes over 'stab in the back' and anti-nuke New Zealand BANS Aussie subs

Taiwan and Japan have welcomed a new three-way nuclear submarine pact between the US, UK and Australia aimed at combatting China - saying it is necessary to provide 'security' for the region.

The countries are both threatened by Beijing and North Korea respectively, and said the new naval alliance dubbed AUKUS would help keep the region 'free and open' and increasing 'peace and security'.

Boris Johnson, Joe Biden and Scott Morrison were also careful not to mention China when they announced the new pact - which will see Australia provided with its first ever fleet of at least eight nuclear subs - on Wednesday night, though made their intentions clear with references to 'democracy, freedom of navigation, and security'.

9/11. Speaking of Barbarism: More Than Thirty Countries Bombed by U.S. (1950-2021)

After the atomic bombing of Japan, the U.S. dropped powerful, more sophisticated deadly bombs.

It is 20 years since the criminal attack on the Twin Towers in New York and the world’s mass media remember those unique and unthinkable acts with justified pain and dismay.

However, while they forget and gloss over the horrendous crimes of the U.S. empire throughout history, they beat their chests. It is as if the innocent deaths of other nations do not have the same value as the citizens of the United States of America (USA).

Let us also remember from the most recent history, the countries bombed by the USA, after the abhorrent attack with atomic bombs against the civilian population of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945. Thus ended the Second World War and provoked the surrender of Japan.

War with Russia & China would 'destroy world' & America must find ways to make peace with its Eastern rivals, top US general warns

With global nuclear stockpiles growing and countries upgrading their warheads and rockets, there is an almost unprecedented need to de-escalate tensions and avert atomic armageddon, one of America's most senior officers has said.

Speaking at a meeting hosted by Washington think-tank The Brookings Institution on Monday, Vice Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff General John E. Hyten warned of the risks if conflicts spiral out of control, and expressed hope that cooler heads can prevail. "We never fought the Soviet Union," he said. "As for the great powers, our goal is to never go to war with China and Russia."

The U.S. And China Are Closer To War Than Most Americans Would Dare To Imagine

Are we in danger of stumbling into a major military conflict?  This week, a couple of startling revelations have really shaken up those that closely watch U.S. relations with China.  The relationship between our two nations continues to deteriorate, and we are now closer to a war with China than we have ever been since the end of the Korean War.  This is something that I have been warning about for a long time, and I am extremely alarmed by what has just been revealed.  But for most Americans, a war with China is so improbable that it isn’t even worth thinking about.  In fact, if you put together a list of all the issues that the American people are concerned about, war with China would probably not even make the top 1000.  Here in the United States, it is pretty much a non-issue, because the vast majority of the population does not think that such a war will ever happen in their entire lifetimes.

THE INTERCEPT - NEW DETAILS EMERGE ABOUT CORONAVIRUS RESEARCH AT CHINESE LAB

NEWLY RELEASED DOCUMENTS provide details of U.S.-funded research on several types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. The Intercept has obtained more than 900 pages of documents detailing the work of EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory. The trove of documents includes two previously unpublished grant proposals that were funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as project updates relating to EcoHealth Alliance’s research, which has been scrutinized amid increased interest in the origins of the pandemic.

The documents were released in connection with ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health. The Intercept is making the full documents available to the public.

Let me tell you about an under-the-table immunity deal:

Dr. Fauci lied to Congress about US funding of gain of function research at Wuhan to protect US institutions. And to show their appreciation, the institutions will protect Dr. Fauci by declining to prosecute his lies.

The Intercept Reporting.
Revelations from The Intercept’s FOIA requests, which the US government took a year to release to the public (and only after litigation was pursued), show federal funds were used “to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory.” The Intercept continues:

According to Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, the documents contain critical information about the research done in Wuhan, including about the creation of novel viruses. “The viruses they constructed were tested for their ability to infect mice that were engineered to display human type receptors on their cell,” Ebright wrote to The Intercept after reviewing the documents.

Deadly bat caves & humanized mice tests: Released docs describe ‘HIGHEST RISK’ involved in US-funded coronavirus research in Wuhan

Documents obtained by The Intercept reveal that the US government funded studies into coronavirus in bats in Wuhan long before the pandemic, with the proposal showing it was aware of the risk that researchers would be infected.

More than 900 pages of material related to this research were published on the non-profit media company’s website on Tuesday. The documents were acquired as part of an ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health.

The documents detail the work of EcoHealth Alliance, a US-based organization specializing in protection against infectious diseases, and its work with Chinese partners on coronaviruses, specifically those originating in bats.

FOIA Release: Fauci Funded Construction Of 'Chimeric Coronaviruses' In Wuhan

When Dr. Anthony Fauci confidently screamed at Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) in July - calling him a liar for accusing him of funding so-called "Gain-of-Function" (GoF) research in Wuhan, China to make coronaviruses more transmissible to humans, the argument ultimately faded due to Fauci's unsupported claim that the research didn't technically fit the definition of GoF.

Now, thanks to materials (here and here) released through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health (which were unredacted enough to toss Fauci under the bus), we now know that Fauci-funded EcoHealth Alliance, a New York-based nonprofit headed by Peter Daszak, was absolutely engaged in gain-of-function research to make chimeric SARS-based coronaviruses, which they confirmed could infect human cells.

While evidence of this research has been pointed to in published studies, the FOIA release provides a key piece to the puzzle which sheds new light on what was going on.

Meet the(Corona Virus Hunter) Ralph Baric

According to a report from the school-run media of the University of North Carolina, where Baric works, "Baric has been tracking coronaviruses for decades and working on medications to treat coronavirus-caused infections."

More importantly, Baric has a technique called "reverse genetics" in coronaviruses, which could "bring an actual virus to life from its genetic code," and "mix and match parts of multiple viruses."

According the MIT Technology Review, with the support of this technique, Baric can not only cultivate a living virus based on the gene fragments of the coronaviruses, but also modify the genes of the coronaviruses and create new ones to explore the harm of the viruses to humans.

With records of 'lab-created coronaviruses' incidents, supervision loopholes, and audacious germ researchers, what really happened in US' UNC and Fort Detrick labs?

Some biological laboratories in the US, including the infamous Fort Detrick lab, and a lab at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, led by well-known US coronavirus disease expert Ralph Baric, have become the focus of public suspicion in the search for the origins of COVID-19, with many observers pointing to their poor safety record and unwillingness of researchers to speak publicly.

Ralph Baric's team is the authority when it comes to [coronavirus disease] research, with widely recognized capability in synergizing and modifying coronaviruses, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian, urging the US to invite World Health Organization (WHO) experts to investigate the UNC facility. "A probe into Baric's team and lab would clarify whether coronavirus research had created or will create SARS-CoV-2," Zhao said during a press conference in late July.

China urges probe into U.S. bio-lab over coronavirus "lab-leak" theory

BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin on Monday urged the United States to stop levelling unwarranted accusations against other countries concerning coronavirus origins tracing and conduct investigations on its own laboratories.
Wang made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to continuous media focus on the bio-lab in the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Ralph Baric for the former's poor safety record and the latter's techniques in artificial synthesis of coronavirus.
For quite some time, Wang said, the United States has been persistently hyping up the so-called "Wuhan Institute of Virology lab leak theory" in disregard of the conclusion in the WHO-China study report that "a laboratory origin of the pandemic was considered to be extremely unlikely." It has gone so far as to ask the intelligence community to fabricate a so-called report on origins investigation.

Chinese state media targets UNC lab as US investigates origin of COVID-19 pandemic

Chinese state media, which acts as a propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party, began circulating conspiracy theories and criticisms in recent weeks about U.S. research labs, including one at UNC-Chapel Hill, in response to U.S.-led investigations into the source of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The effort by the Chinese comes as intelligence officials presented President Joe Biden with an inconclusive and classified report about the origins of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, The Washington Post reported. The intelligence document reportedly does not rule out whether the pathogen jumped from animal to a human or whether it escaped from a lab.

US Military Official Claims China Will Surpass Russia as Nuclear Threat

As the US military is focused on China, Pentagon officials are inflating the threat of Beijing to justify more spending and expansion in Asia. Last week, the deputy commander of US Strategic Command (STRATCOM) claimed China will soon surpass Russia as Washington’s top nuclear threat.

“There’s going to be a point, a crossover point, where the number of threats presented by China will exceed the number of threats that currently Russia presents,” Lt. Gen. Thomas Bussiere told an online forum on Friday.

China’s nuclear arsenal is estimated to be somewhere between 300 and 350 warheads, while the US and Russia each possess around 6,000, give or take a few hundred. But Bussiere insists it is not the size of China’s arsenal that makes them a threat, but how they’re “operationally fielded.” He said he believes China will overtake Russia as a nuclear threat “in the next few years.”

With Russia & China cooperating militarily, America must deal with 'two peer opponents' for first time – US Strategic Command head

The close military cooperation between Russia and China is cause for great concern, and the authorities in Washington must seriously reconsider its current strategy of "containment" towards the two large Eurasian superpowers.

That's according to Admiral Charles Richard, the commander of United States Strategic Command, who spoke in an online forum discussion with the Hudson Institute.

According to Richard, the US has never before "faced two peer opponents" with nuclear weapons and high-technology systems, noting that China's rapid progression in nuclear, space, and cyber technologies means that Washington must think carefully about its next steps. In particular, Richard stated that China, unlike the US and Russia, is not constrained by treaties regarding its nuclear forces.

"Russia still remains the near-term pacing threat," Richard said, suggesting that Beijing would soon overtake Moscow as Washington's most capable foe.

Exclusive: Samples From Early Wuhan COVID Patients Had Genetically Modified Henipah, One of Two Types of Viruses Sent From Canadian Lab

Samples from early Wuhan COVID-19 patients show the presence of genetically modified Henipah virus, an American scientist has found.

Henipah was one of the two types of viruses sent to China by Chinese-born scientists from a Canadian laboratory at the centre of a controversy over the firing of the scientists and collaboration with Chinese military researchers. It is not clear whether the virus found in the Chinese samples is related to the samples sent by the Canadian lab, which were shipped in late March 2019.

The finding was confirmed for The Epoch Times by another qualified scientist.

The evidence was first found by Dr. Steven Quay, a Seattle-based physician-scientist and former faculty member at the Stanford University School of Medicine, who looked at early COVID-19 samples uploaded by scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) shortly after China informed the World Health Organization about the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak.

Coronavirus modifications, undisclosed virus incidents details, close contact with Fort Detrick: Six doubts surround US' UNC labs

The COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control situation remains grim across the world. As the virus continues rapidly mutating and the new variants spread much more readily, many countries have witnessed COVID-19 cases rebound. At this critical moment, the international community should unite together to fight the pandemic. However, the US government continues to engage in political manipulation and hype rumors including the so-called "Wuhan laboratory leak theory," casting a heavy cloud over possible international cooperation against the pandemic.

But according to the disclosed information, it's the lab at the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Ralph Baric, in charge of the UNC lab at Chapel Hill, that remain surrounded with questions and mysteries. It is these two entities that owe the world an explanation when it comes to the "lab leak" theory.

Israel’s Nukes Make US Aid Illegal

Peter Beinart’s New York Times essay "America Needs to Start Telling the Truth About Israel’s Nukes" earlier this month caused a firestorm. In it, Beinart noted how the prevalence of US "lies of omission" allow policymakers and politicians to pretend Israel does not have nuclear weapons. This in turn generates the false narrative that Iran’s nuclear program could initiate a Middle East nuclear arms race. Beinart laments how US deceptions about Israel’s nuclear arsenal undermine America’s self-proclaimed status as a champion of non-proliferation.

What Beinart did not appear to know – until educated by Twitter users – is what machinery keeps the US in lockstep with Israeli so-called "nuclear ambiguity" and why it exists.

Israel’s Secret Arsenal: It’s Not So Secret Anymore

Few Americans are aware of the fact that no U.S. government official, to include congressmen, can in any way mention or discuss Israel’s nuclear arsenal, which is estimated by some observers to consist of as many as 200 tactical nuclear weapons which can be delivered on target by air, land or sea. The prohibition is spelled out in a Department of Energy “classification bulletin” graded Secret, which was issued on September 6, 2012 and bears the file number WPN-136. The subject line reads “Guidance on Release of information Relating to the Potential for an Israeli Nuclear Capability.” It would be interesting to learn exactly how the text of the memo reads, but in spite of repeated attempts to obtain a copy under the Freedom of Information Act, the entire body of the document is completely blacked out.

Decades after the US dropped millions of gallons of the toxic chemical Agent Orange on Vietnam, it still fails to apply “common sense” even to the plight of American veterans exposed to it, the head of an advocacy group told RT.

In August 1961, exactly 60 years ago, the US started its massive herbicidal warfare program during the Vietnam war. Tens of thousands of square kilometers of the Vietnamese territory were defoliated with some 20 million gallons of so-called “rainbow herbicides,” which included the infamous Agent Orange.

Hiroshima, Nagasaki and the Big Historical Lie

It is perceived wisdom throughout the Western world – particularly America – that the dropping of two nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was “necessary” to end the war with Japan. Printed throughout textbooks in the post-war world, the understanding is that, had these targets not been struck, the war would have waged on indefinitely, with potentially untold American soldier and Japanese civilian deaths.

As the world commemorates the 68th anniversary of the attacks, however, it is important to take a step back and view the catastrophic event not through the prism of propaganda and mythologizing, but instead through the lens of historical scrutiny. For, as is often the case, the disparity between “Official History” and reality is characterized by lies and deceptions bolstered by patriotism and American exceptionalism.

The Stage Is Being Set For A War Between Israel And Iran To Potentially Begin Before The End Of 2021

The clock has been ticking for a long time, and now Israel is telling us that Iran is “only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon”.  The Israelis have always been very clear about the fact that they will never, ever allow the Iranians to get to that point, and so that would appear to leave only 10 weeks remaining to avert a major war in the Middle East.  And let us certainly hope that war can be averted, because a major war in the Middle East could easily spark a full-blown global war.  U.S. relations with both Russia and China continue to deteriorate very rapidly, and the Biden administration is being very aggressive with both of them.

New Russian ICBM to enter combat service in 2022: 208-ton Sarmat can carry 16 warheads and has operational range of 18,000km

Russia is poised to begin test flights of a new liquid-fueled, super-heavy intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has confirmed. The missiles are expected to enter service in 2022.

“Flight tests [will begin] this year and should be completed in 2022. In 2022, the first batch should enter service with the strategic missile forces,” Shoigu said on Friday while visiting Krasmash, a machine-building plant in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia.

The new RS-28 Sarmat ICBM is capable of carrying 16 warheads. The advanced silo-based system features a heavy liquid-propellant intercontinental ballistic missile, and is to replace the R-36M/R-36M2 Voevoda ICBM.

The new missile will be capable of hitting targets using either the North Pole or South Pole route, effectively bypassing any defense system employed by a potential enemy.

Rejection of US Hiroshima Myths Long Overdue

Hiroshima was "a military base." The US atomic bombings "ended the war," and they "prevented an invasion and saved lives." Our government’s tests of atomic weapons on people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki 76 years ago were rationalized using these myths which transformed indiscriminate destruction into a "good thing." This mythology stands as a roadblock to the elimination of nuclear weapons.

The "good bomb" story is still believed by many in the United States because of decades of deliberate myth-making started by President Truman. He announced after Hiroshima, "The world will note that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base. That was because we wished this first attack to avoid, insofar as possible, the killing of civilians." Some 140,000 people were killed in Hiroshima, another 70,000 in Nagasaki. Almost all were civilians. The bombs were dropped miles from the nearest military base in both cases.

America Has Deployed Chemical and Biological Weapons on the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and More

The US experimentation with bio-weapons goes back to the distribution of cholera-infect blankets to American Indian tribes in the 1860s. In 1900, US Army doctors in the Philippines infected five prisoners with a variety of plague and 29 prisoners with Beriberi. At least four of the subjects died. In 1915, a doctor working with government grants exposed 12 prisoners in Mississippi to pellagra, an incapacitating disease that attacks the central nervous system.

After World War I, the United States went on a chemical weapons binge, producing millions of barrels of mustard gas and Lewisite. Thousands of US troops were exposed to these chemical agents in order to “test the efficacy of gas masks and protective clothing”. The Veterans Administration refused to honor disability claims from victims of such experiments. The Army also deployed mustard gas against anti-US protesters in Puerto Rico and the Philippines in the 1920s and 1930s.

FLASHBACK - The Project for a New American Century and the Age of Bioweapons

Police State measures grew swiftly with the Patriot Act and mass internal surveillance under the “crisis management” run by the neocon cabal in the White House. While a new type of regime change war was created abroad, dangerous protocols for Cheney’s “Continuity of Government” were set into motion and with these procedures, new mandates for Martial Law were created amplifying the powers, financing and deployment of U.S. Military capabilities both within the USA “under crisis conditions” and around the world.

Governments that had no connection to 9/11 were swiftly targeted for destruction using false evidence of “yellowcake” produced in the bowels of MI6, and a broader unipolar military encirclement of both Russia and China was set into motion which President Putin called out brilliantly in his famous 2007 Munich Security Conference Speech.

Who’s Afraid of Fort Detrick Probe?

An international online petition calling for an investigation into a US military laboratory and the possible origin of Covid-19 was hacked at the weekend. The hackers were reportedly based in the US.

Fort Detrick in Maryland is the center of American biowarfare research. It is just one of the hundreds of such infectious disease laboratories located across the United States. During the Cold War, Fort Detrick was the main site for experimenting with lethal pathogens, including viruses causing deadly influenza.

In 2001, when a disgruntled researcher is believed to have killed five people by mailing deadly anthrax spores it was Fort Detrick that was the origin of the lethal material.

Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - 1945

On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on the city of Hiroshima. The bomb was known as "Little Boy", a uranium gun-type bomb that exploded with about thirteen kilotons of force. At the time of the bombing, Hiroshima was home to 280,000-290,000 civilians as well as 43,000 soldiers. Between 90,000 and 166,000 people are believed to have died from the bomb in the four-month period following the explosion. The U.S. Department of Energy has estimated that after five years there were perhaps 200,000 or more fatalities as a result of the bombing, while the city of Hiroshima has estimated that 237,000 people were killed directly or indirectly by the bomb's effects, including burns, radiation sickness, and cancer.

Gene Splicing Pathogens to Make Biological Weapons Is Illegal — But Nobody Is Enforcing the Law

Brandeis University scientists are making dramatic progress with techniques for “gene splicing” — modifying the genetic makeup of organisms.

This work includes bioengineering pathogens for medical research, techniques that also can be used to create deadly biological weapons. It’s an overlap that’s helped fuel speculation that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus was bioengineered at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology and that it subsequently “escaped” through a lab accident to produce the COVID-19 pandemic.

The world already has a legal foundation to prevent gene splicing for warfare: the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention. Unfortunately, nations have been unable to agree on how to strengthen the treaty. Some countries have also pursued bioweapons research and stockpiling in violation of it.

FLASHBACK - After mysterious shutdown, Fort Detrick still shrouded in secrecy

The U.S. Army base known as Fort Detrick recently came to the spotlight after a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) questioned the base's transparency during a press briefing in January.

"If the U.S. truly respects facts, then please open the biological lab at Fort Detrick, show more transparency to issues like its 200-plus overseas bio-labs, invite WHO experts to conduct origin-tracing in the United States," MOFA spokesperson Hua Chunying said.

Fort Detrick is located in the quiet suburban town of Fredrick, some 50 miles outside of Washington, D.C. Since World War II, laboratories inside the military base have hosted some of the most dangerous and wicked scientific programs, including experiments for biological weapons.

Aug 04 09:53

Is FORT DETRICK the SOURCE of COVID-19?

In the months leading up to the Outbreak of COVID-19 in China, US media reported an outbreak of a fatal respiratory disease of unknown cause near Fort Detrick. What’s more, Fort Detrick was suddenly and mysteriously closed in July 2019, just before the onset of an unknown infectious disease a few months later, and the US government has so far been reluctant to explain why. Suspicions are growing and there are calls for an international investigation of the largest biological and chemical weapons site in the United States, but the the US Administration has repeatedly rejected such call.

In August 1945, Japan surrendered to the Allies and Unit 731’s leader, General Shiro Ishii, ordered his more than 10,000 workers to bury the evidence by destroying the facilities, killing and burying the remaining prisoners, releasing all disease-infected animals, and taking their secrets to the grave.

FLASHBACK - List of over 100 Dead Microbiologists

The worlds top anti-virus microbiologists are being killed off. By 2005, 40 were dead. Today, over 100.

Many murdered, the rest died under very suspicious circumstances. It is known they were all working on highly sensitive or government-funded research projects tied to bio-weapons and viral pandemics.

Are these silenced ‘whistleblowers’ who knew too much?

Why didn’t the mainstream media report in on these stories?

The mind-blowing history at Fort Detrick

After World War II, Fort Detrick became a site of horrifying scientific experiments conducted under a top-secret CIA quest to control the human mind, known as Project MK Ultra. After more than 20 years, the project ended in abysmal failure and led to an unknown number of deaths, including a scientist who participated in the project, and at least hundreds of American and Canadian victims subjected to mental and physical torture. The experiments not only violated international law, but also the agency's own charter which forbids domestic activity.

Damning Republican report into Wuhan lab claims COVID LEAKED out in September 2019 shortly after it tried to improve air safety and waste treatment systems

Coronavirus first leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan in September 2019, shortly after the Chinese research facility tried to improve air safety and waste treatment systems, a damning report by Republicans has claimed.

The report also cited 'ample evidence' that scientists from the Wuhan Institute of Virology - aided by U.S. experts and Chinese and U.S. government funds - were working to modify coronaviruses to infect humans and such manipulation could be hidden.

Its authors cited a stream of open source information, including satellite imagery showing a surge in visitors to local hospitals, long before cases were reported emerging from a nearby market.

So all that stuff about wet markets and bats poured over you by the corporate media was just another LIE!

BREAK – Database Proving How Fauci Funded Wuhan Lab Has Been Taken Offline.

When searched, the database, which itemizes the billions of taxpayer-funded grants distributed by various National Institutes of Health (NIH) agencies, yields no results and prompts users with an error message. Among the agencies included in the registry is the Fauci-led National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which has come under scrutiny for funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The website also previously revealed NIAID-directed funds for joint research between disgrace COVID-19 investigator Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Chinese government-run lab under the auspices of a nearly $3.7 million grant entitled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence.”

US Military Hypes Up Reports on China’s Nuclear Missile Silos

Recent reports have claimed China is massively expanding its nuclear arsenal based on what is said to be satellite images of missile silos. The latest report was published Tuesday by The New York Times and showed pictures that the Federation of American Scientists say are 110 nuclear missile silos being constructed in the desert of eastern Xinjiang.

Earlier in July, The Washington Post published satellite images that it claimed were over 100 missile silos being built near the northwestern Chinese city of Yumen. Some Chinese media outlets dismissed the report and said the picture was of windmills, and the image published at the top of the Post article has the words “Yumen Gansu Windfarm.” But since the report was published, the Chinese government has not confirmed or denied it.

Ex-USSR Leader Gorbachev: Russia and US Need to Agree on Lower Nuclear Weapons Level

Washington and Moscow previously agreed to extend the New START Treaty, also saying in a joint statement that both sides are committed to nuclear arms control, stressing that "a nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought".

Mikhail Gorbachev, the last leader of the Soviet Union, has expressed hope that neither Russia nor the US will drag out their stability dialogue, noting that the two nations should agree on reducing their nuclear arms.

The ex-president also noted that other members of the big five, who also possess nuclear weapons - China, France, and Great Britain - may also be invited to the negotiations.

A ‘New Cold War’ has already started, but Russia & China are winning against a ‘weakening’ West, says former Kremlin adviser

The Soviet Union might have lost the first Cold War, but Russia is ahead in the rematch with the US and, this time, has every chance of coming out on top. That's according to one well-known Moscow scholar, Sergey Karaganov.

Speaking to Russian newspaper Argumenty I Fakty, the academic argued that Moscow is now much stronger than it was during the late Soviet period, and the West has weakened in that time.

Karaganov has been one of Russia’s top foreign-policy theorists for decades, and has also advised President Vladimir Putin in the past. He is currently the head of the World Economy and International Affairs faculty at the Higher School of Economics (HSE), a prestigious university in Moscow. He is also well-known for the eponymous ‘Karaganov doctrine,’ which states that Moscow should act as a defender of human rights for ethnic Russians living in the near abroad.

Thirty years ago, the START-1 nuclear deal made the world a safer place: Now, the US & Russia risk returning to an atomic standoff

As of Saturday, 30 years have passed since the US and the Soviet Union signed the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I). Given the world has not yet descended into nuclear war, the weapons deal seems to have done its job.

When it entered into effect three years later, there was no USSR left. Nevertheless, its ambitious terms sought to draw a line under the steady increases in long-range nuclear weapons that had characterized the Cold War. Even more importantly, the pact actually reduced their numbers significantly, as cooler heads prevailed after the tumultuous years from 1979 to 1983, when the world seemed to tumble toward World War Three.

START I was not only ambitious, but also fully implemented within one decade, long before its official expiration in 2009. No mean feat, if you consider that one of the two contracting parties ceased to exist a few months after the signing of the treaty, leaving its commitments to be taken up by the new state of Russia.

The US Used Biological Warfare Against Mainland China in the 1950s

Back in the early 1950s, the U.S. conducted a furious bombing campaign during the Korean War, dropping hundreds of thousands of tons of ordnance, much of it napalm, on North Korea. The bombardment, worse than any country had received up to that point, excepting the effects of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, wiped out nearly every city in North Korea, contributing to well over a million civilian deaths. Because of the relentless bombing, the people were reduced to living in tunnels. Even the normally bellicose Gen. MacArthur claimed to find the devastation wreaked by the U.S. to be sickening.[1]

Most controversially, both North Korea and China alleged that by early 1952, the U.S. was using biological or germ warfare weapons against both North Korea and China. The U.S. government has strenuously denied this.

Russia Producing Two New 'Doomsday Planes' As Mobile Command Centers In Event Of Nuclear War

Meet Russia's state of the art, currently in development, 'Doomsday plane', which is intended to transport the country's senior political and military leadership in any future instance of a nuclear attack:

The Russian Air Force and Space Forces will receive two airborne commanding posts based on the Il-96-400M plane, according to Russian government news agency RIA Novosti, citing a source in the country’s defense sector.

The Il-96-400M is the modernized version of the Il-96 long-haul, wide-body civilian jetliner. An Il-96 variant currently operates as President Vladimir Putin’s primary means of travel by air, similar to that of the United States’ Air Force One.

Researchers find 110 more secret Chinese nuclear missile silos under construction

New satellite images analyzed by nuclear arms researchers revealed that China is preparing a second field for up to 110 new missile silos capable of housing nuclear-capable weapons. The discovery adds to another 119 silos discovered earlier this year, and form what researchers described this week as “the most significant expansion of the Chinese nuclear arsenal ever.”

Matt Korda and Hans Kristensen, researchers with the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), wrote in a paper published Monday that recent satellite images show China is in the early stages of constructing a new missile silo field about 60 miles southwest of the Chinese city of Hami, in the Xinjiang Province of western China.

Fauci says it's 'negligent' not to fund research at Wuhan lab, suggests collaboration with China continue

Dr. Anthony Fauci suggested that it would’ve been “negligent” for the National Institutes of Health not to fund bat coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and declined to commit not to collaborate with Chinese government scientists in the future, insisting that “we have always been careful.”

Last week, Sen. Rand Paul requested Attorney General Merrick Garland criminally investigate Fauci over his Senate testimony, during which he said the NIH never funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, which the Kentucky Republican says is a lie. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, insists the NIH grants did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.

Macron To Discuss Legacy Of Nuclear Tests In French Polynesia

French President Emmanuel Macron was greeted with flower garlands and Tahitian dancers on the tarmac as he touched down Saturday night for his first official trip to French Polynesia.

While in the South Pacific territory, he plans to discuss its strategic role, the legacy of nuclear tests and the existential risk of rising seas posed by global warming.

Residents in the sprawling archipelago of more than 100 islands located midway between Mexico and Australia are hoping Macron confirms compensation for radiation victims following decades of nuclear testing as France pursued atomic weapons.

The tests remain a source of deep resentment, seen as evidence of racist colonial attitudes that disregarded the lives of islanders.

GAINING DEPTH ON GAIN OF FUNCTION: JOSH ROGIN’S VIEW

I cited the judgment of Washington Post columnist Josh Rogin in “Fallacious Fauci strikes again.” In my post I relied on Rogin’s brief tweets. Today Rogin expands on his judgment in the column “What the fight between Anthony Fauci and Rand Paul is really about.” Here is the heart of his analysis of the issue between Fauci and Paul:

Both men were playing to the cameras, but many scientists think Paul actually does know what he’s talking about. One of them is Rutgers University microbiologist and biosafety expert Richard Ebright, whom Paul quoted as saying this research “matches, indeed epitomizes the definition of gain of function research.”

Coronavirus: Was US money used to fund risky research in China?

As the debate continues over the origins of the coronavirus, a fresh row has erupted over virus research being carried out in China using US funds.

It's linked to the unproven theory that the virus could have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, the Chinese city where it was first detected.

This idea centres on research carried out on bat viruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Republican Senator Rand Paul alleges that US money was used to fund research there that made some viruses (not the coronavirus) more infectious and more deadly, known as "gain-of-function".

But his assertion has been firmly rejected by Dr Anthony Fauci, the US infectious diseases chief.

FLASHBACK - New Evidence Implicates CIA in 1971 Attack on Cuba with African Swine Fever Virus

With at least the tacit backing of U.S. Central Intelligence Agency officials, operatives linked to anti-Castro terrorists introduced African swine fever virus into Cuba in 1971. Six weeks later an outbreak of the disease forced the slaughter of 500,000 pigs to prevent a nationwide animal epidemic.

A U.S. intelligence source told Newsday he was given the virus in a sealed, unmarked container at a U.S. Army base and CIA training ground in the Panama Canal Zone, with instructions to turn it over to the anti-Castro group.

How America unleashed hell's agent in its own backyard: After Agent Orange left a trail of birth defects in Vietnam, a new film lays bare how the US sprayed it back home with devastating consequences

When Carol Van Strum moved to Five Rivers, Oregon, in 1974, she thought she had found the perfect rural idyll.

Surrounded by National Forest, her four young children could grow up close to nature. They loved fishing and playing by the river, fascinated by the little ‘dipper’ birds that sat on the rocks.

‘They knew everything that lived down there,’ she recalls. ‘There were beavers and otters in the river, and all the fish and herons and ospreys. So they just were part of that.’

Then one day the children fell sick, choking and gasping.

Down at the river, Carol found a scene of devastation — dead ducklings, crayfish and trout.

The cause seemed fairly obvious: a U.S. Forestry Service helicopter had been flying overhead the day before, spraying something over the land.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Agent Orange was developed in part at the University of Hawaii. During the research, two students were killed. The military tested Agent Orange on the Big Island and to this day there are large fenced-off areas where it is still too dangerous to enter.

CERN TAKES ANOTHER LARGE STEP TO THE CONTROL OF ANTI-MATTER

Indeed, what I've stated before about matter-antimatter reactions should be borne in mind: they are total annihilation reactions. In other words, imagine one had managed to accumulate 25 kilograms of anti-matter and keep it contained, and then suddenly brought that 25 kilograms of anti-matter into contact with 25 kilograms of ordinary matter. The result would be an annihilation reaction that would make the world's largest-ever hydrogen bomb - Russia's "Tsar Bomba" with an enormous yield of 57 megatons - look like a firecracker.

So with that as the context, now consider what the article says. Firstly, it states that this most recent achievement was accomplished under the auspices of CERN:

The overreaction to China’s new nuclear silos

China hawks have seized on a report about new Chinese missile silos to spread alarmist claims about the Chinese nuclear arsenal and agitate for a new arms race.

The revelation that China has been quickly building approximately 119 new hardened silos in the desert of Gansu province is important new information, but it does not support the absurd and exaggerated claims that hawkish analysts have made about Beijing’s arsenal. It appears that China is seeking to increase its arsenal’s survivability in the event of a conflict with the United States, and it is doing so in response to U.S. nuclear modernization and missile defense.

Dr. Jeffrey Lewis, one of the scholars that confirmed the existence of the silos, said as much after the news broke: “We’re stumbling into an arms race that is largely driven by U.S. investments and missile defense.”

FLASHBACK - Yes, the United States Used Biological Weapons on North Korea

Opinion — It’s sort of silly that it matters. The United States bombed North Korea flat with ordinary, non-bioweapons bombs. It ran out of standing structures to bomb. People lived in caves, if they lived. Millions died, most of them from regular old non-scandalous but mass-murderous bombs (including, of course, Napalm which melts people but doesn’t give them exotic diseases). North Koreans to this day live in such terror of a repetition of history that their behavior is sometimes inexplicable and bewildering to Americans whose knowledge of history comes from watching game shows.

US biowarfare against China, Iran and Italy

By now, the world already knows the US regime is desperately covering up its biological attack against China, Iran, and Italy.

I will summarize the main points underlying this case. First, what motivates US aggression against these three states [and many others]? Enter, the Wolfowitz doctrine, namely the US' official but unstated foreign policy is to crush all potential rivals to uphold us economic and military tyranny on earth.

America's political and military mission in the post-cold-war era will be to insure that no rival superpower is allowed to emerge

The events were kick started with US aggression
1. US starts trade War against China
2. US pulls out of the JCPOA nuclear deal with Iran and places crippling sanctions on Iran to topple its government
3. US threatens Europeans vassals to avoid China's OBOR/BRI project
4. US tries to crush Huawei through unscrupulous lawfare, sanctions, and a global smear campaign

US Has Produced its First in New Line of Updated 475-Kiloton Thermonuclear Warheads

The United States is expected to spend more than $1.2 trillion over the next three decades updating its nuclear arsenal, nearly all of which is more than 30 years old, dating back to the Cold War. However, some of the more recent and pricey additions have already been cut from the budget, like a sea-launched cruise missile.

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency of the US Department of Energy, announced on Tuesday that the first W88 Alt 370 had been completed at the Pantex Plant, a site in northern Texas where most of the US’ nuclear weapons are assembled. While the Pentagon is responsible for deciding how its nuclear weapons will be designed, the NNSA is responsible for actually assembling them.

The Russian government news agency TASS reported on July 14 on stern warnings issued by the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, Mikhail Popov, in regard to NATO’s threat to his country. Fauci email shows that Daszak was manipulating bat coronaviruses to make them attack human cells

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request has brought to light another damning email showing that Tony Fauci has, in fact, been heavily involved with illegal gain of function research on bat coronaviruses is communist China.

The latest incriminating email to surface was sent to Fauci by EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak back in 2017, in which Daszak admitted that he was “doing assays to find out if [manipulated bat coronaviruses] can infect human cells in the lab.”

The subject line of the email reads, “Confidential – A new bat-origin coronavirus emerging in pigs in China discovered under our NIAID R01,” proving that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under Fauci was actively funding Daszak’s gain of function research.

Former CDC director: Scientists modified coronavirus before it leaked out of Wuhan lab

Virologist Dr. Robert Redfield said he thinks the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) was modified by Chinese scientists before it leaked out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China’s central Hubei province. The former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added that the COVID-19 virus’s ability to jump from an animal to a human is not “biologically plausible.” While earlier reports claimed that the pathogen came from bats, newfound evidence suggests it originated in the WIV lab, which has sparked an ongoing debate.

Redfield doubled down on his belief of the lab leak theory in a June 15 interview with Fox News contributor Dr. Marc Siegel. He said that the virus’s ability to spread rapidly has never been seen in other coronaviruses. And while most coronaviruses can cross over from animals to humans, zoonosis usually occurs at a much slower pace than what was seen with the Wuhan coronavirus.

A study of satellite images produced by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in California this week revealed China is constructing over 100 new silos for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) in the northwestern desert of Gansu province.

“The acquisition of more than 100 new missile silos, if completed, would represent a historic shift for China, a country that is believed to possess a relatively modest stockpile of between 250 and 350 nuclear weapons. The actual number of new missiles intended for those silos is unknown but could be much smaller. China has deployed decoy silos in the past,” the Washington Post noted Wednesday.

The James Martin Center spotted 119 construction sites laid out in a grid over hundreds of square miles near the Chinese city of Yuman, with each launch site separated from its closest neighbor by at least two miles.

Putin's 'City-Killer': Russia Launches World's Largest Nuclear-Armed Submarine

It's being popularly dubbed "Putin's city-killer" - and is also being widely acknowledged as the largest submarine in the world to be built for 30 years: Russian Navy's 'Special Mission' K-329 Belgorod has been put to see for the first time within the past days, undergoing sea trials.

Estimated at 178 meters (584 feet) long and about 15 meters (49 feet) across, it's twice the size of the UK Royal Navy's largest submarines, but more impressively is equipped with AI-guided nuclear tipped underwater drones which according to one prominent Western source are capable of hitting coastal targets lying 6,000 miles away.

Why Fort Detrick lab should be investigat3ed for global COVID-19 origins tracing

The lab-leak theory, that COVID-19 was leaked from a laboratory, has once again caused a clamor since the beginning of this year, months after the argument was thrown into the trash can of conspiracy theories by an overwhelming number of scientists.

Observers found that things only get more complicated when the origins of the coronavirus - an already difficult scientific issue - is entangled in political manipulation tricks. Combing through more than 8,000 pieces of news reports related to the lab-leak theory, the Global Times found that as many as 60 percent of the coverage was from the US alone.

New Study Finds COVID-19 'Very Well Adapted' To Specifically Infect Humans

An Australian team of researchers has published a new study which found that SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes COVID-19, appears to be specifically adapted to attack human cells, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Flinders University professor and vaccine researcher Dr Nikolai Petrovsky was part of a team that discovered that Covid-19 is uniquely adapted to attack human cells.
The scientists from Flinders University and La Trobe used powerful computers to model the protein receptors in a number of animal species to see how the coronavirus’s spike protein attached itself to them.

The theory was that if the coronavirus attached itself readily to an animal like a bat or a pangolin, it would have likely been the species that the bug used to make its leap into the human population.

However, the modelling found that the coronavirus’s spike protein was best suited to attacking protein receptors in humans.

The Crimes of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Four Senators Ask Biden to Clear Oppenheimer’s Name

When the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II, 110,000-210,000 people were instantly killed. Japan surrendered in the days that followed. Not long after, nuclear physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who led the Manhattan Project—the research and development program that produced the bomb—was awarded the highest US honor bestowed on civilians for his contribution to the war effort: a Medal of Merit. But Oppenheimer came to regret his participation in the unprecedented devastation, which included thousands more deaths over time due to radiation exposure.

US Plans to Test Its $60 Billion Replacement for Ageing Minuteman ICBMs in 2023

If the tests show satisfying results, Washington is likely to order 400 such missiles to replace their ageing stockpile. The first new ICBMs are expected to be delivered by 2036.

The Pentagon is eyeing 2023 for conducting the first test flights of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the GBSD programme's manager has said. The tests will be carried out at the Vandenberg Air Force Base at the end of 2023.

Right now, the GBSD developer, US defence industry giant Northrop Grumman is working on the "critical design review" of the ICBM's subsystems, according to a report by the magazine Air Force. The missile itself was developed using digital engineering, which allows computers to find the optimal configuration for a piece of military equipment. The method permits the virtual testing of alternative configurations of a missile to determine the one that performs the best.

Russia Successfully Test Launches New Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

The latest intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology (part of the state space corporation Roscosmos) was successfully test-launched from the Russian Defense Ministry’s 1st state testing spaceport, a source in the domestic defense industry told TASS on Monday.

"In mid-June, the latest unique ballistic missile developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology was successfully test-launched from the Plesetsk spaceport," the source said.

TASS has no official comment from the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology yet.

As was reported earlier, the Moscow Institute of thermal Technology has started developing the sophisticated Kedr silo-based and mobile ICBM modifications as part of the effort of upgrading Russia’s strategic armaments.

Blood & Fog: The Military's Germ Warfare Tests in San Francisco

The Nuremberg Code was drafted in 1947 following the appalling revelations of human experimentation committed in Nazi concentration camps. The overarching goal of the Code was to establish a set of rules for the ethical conduct of research using human subjects, guaranteeing that the rights and welfare of such participants would be protected. Two important principles guide and define this Code: the concept of voluntary, informed consent and that no experiment shall be conducted in which “there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur.”

Just four short years later, the government of the United States would violate the Code as it undertook one of the largest human experiments in history, spraying the city of San Francisco with a microbe, Serratia marcescens, in a simulated germ warfare attack.

China's Disturbing Nuclear Buildup

In recent summits of Western nations, two shots were fired over the bow of China.

At the Group of Seven (G-7) forum held in Cornwall, England, in early June, the leading Western economic powers announced a new international infrastructure initiative, intended to draw lower-income nations away from China’s burgeoning Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

This action was quickly followed up by the NATO summit held in Brussels a few days later, which in its official communiqué issued a dark warning about China’s military modernization. For the first time, NATO singled out China for its “assertive behavior,” which it said presented “systemic challenges to the rules-based international order and to areas relevant to Alliance security.”

In particular, NATO noted China’s nuclear arsenal, which it said was “rapidly expanding,” with “more warheads and a larger number of sophisticated delivery systems,” intended “to establish a nuclear triad” comprising land-, sea-, and air-based systems.
