"The First Amendment says that you can say whatever you want. However, decency and common sense require that one carefully consider their words and ideas before opening their mouth (or hitting that keyboard). There are too many people in America who think the First Amendment is a license to simply be outrageous." -- Michael Rivero
A noted Republican has a plan to unseat the Democrat majority in the Senate next year by knocking off one of its long-serving incumbents.
Dave McCormick said on Thursday he believes he can be a “force for good” as he attempts to defeat Democratic Sen. Bob Casey in what will no doubt be one of the year’s most closely-watched races.
“McCormick, a former hedge fund executive, West Point graduate, Gulf War combat veteran, and Treasury Department official in former President George W. Bush’s administration, on Thursday launched his second straight campaign for the Senate,” Fox News Digital reported.
His announcement provides national and state Republicans with a prominent candidate who possesses the capacity to self-finance. McCormick had been approached to consider running against the incumbent Democratic in a race that could potentially determine whether the GOP regains control of the Senate in 2024, the outlet noted.
The Biden administration has lost another green energy agenda battle after a federal judge blocked the president’s effort to restrict oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
Late Thursday evening, U.S. District Judge James Cain of the Western District of Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction after the administration’s last-minute attempt to halt an upcoming offshore oil and gas lease sale in the Gulf, Fox News Digital reported.
Cain granted the request “from plaintiffs — the State of Louisiana, industry association American Petroleum Institute (API) and oil companies Chevron and Shell — to block the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s (BOEM) restrictions on Lease Sale 261. The lease sale spanning millions of acres across the Gulf of Mexico is slated for next week,” the outlet added.
Webmaster addition: This makes no sense at all. Gas prices are through the roof, and we are heading into a cold winter. I know Joe Biden is bullish on electric cars but what does he think those batteries get recharged with? For the most part, oil and gas fired power plants!
Eric Holder, who led the Justice Department as attorney general under President Barack Obama, called on Sen. Bob Menendez to resign after the New Jersey Democrat and his wife were indicted on federal bribery charges Friday.
“As both a leader in the Democratic Party & the former Attorney General and given the nature of the charges, I call upon Senator Menendez to resign,” Holder wrote on X.com of the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. “The nation will be better served if he steps aside and allows a transition to occur that will best serve the people of New Jersey.”
A fourth IRS official has told Congress about roadblocks that now-special counsel David Weiss faced last year in attempting to bring charges against Hunter Biden outside his district in Delaware.
Darrell Waldon, the former IRS special agent in charge of the agency’s Washington field office, told the House Ways and Means Committee in a closed-door interview earlier this month about a number of challenges he witnessed during his two years on the case, according to a transcript of the interview obtained by the Washington Examiner.
Waldon also discussed the IRS’s decision to remove a whistleblower, Gary Shapley, and the rest of Shapley’s IRS investigative team from the Hunter Biden investigation after Weiss stated he was no longer on speaking terms with Shapley.
“Mr. Weiss went to the U.S. Attorney’s Office — I can’t recall the dates — and they did not agree to prosecute the case in D.C.,” Waldon, who in February took another job within the IRS that moved him away from the Hunter Biden case, said.
My heart breaks for the tragic loss of that innocent three-year-old boy. It’s devastating to hear that he drowned in the Rio Grande while his family was attempting to enter the United States.
The news reports reveal the heartbreaking details of the incident. The boy’s lifeless body was discovered by Texas Department of Public Safety officers north of the marine barrier in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon. State troopers did their best to save him, rushing him to a nearby hospital, but despite their efforts, he was declared dead.
We still don’t know the nationality of the victim, but this tragedy highlights the dangers of illegal border crossings. As a concerned mother, I can’t help but echo the sentiments of Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Chris Olivares, who wrote on social media, “Another senseless tragedy due to the Federal Government’s absence in discouraging unlawful border crossings between the ports of entry & lack of implementing preventive measures.”
IRS Director of Field Operations Michael Batdorf told the House Ways and Means Committee earlier this month that US Attorney E. Martin Estrada of the Central District of California had declined to partner with Weiss on the case, forcing him to look elsewhere.
The Delaware prosecutor revealed the setback to Batdorf and IRS special agent in charge Darrell Waldon in a December 2022 phone call, according to a transcript of Batdorf’s Sept. 12 interview reviewed by The Post.
“He just said that they had declined and he had to make the decision on where he was going to go,” Batdorf said of the conversation with Weiss.
Since the advent of COVID-19 mass vaccination, rates of cancer have skyrocketed in surveillance systems across the globe. Many are asking, do the vaccines truly cause cancer? In 2020, Singh et al published an in silico modelling study that concluded the S2 segment of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein could be anticipated to inhibit the p53 and BRCA1/2 tumor surveillance systems. Importantly, the S2 segment has not been found in the body after the infection, however, it is readily produced in large quantities after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination as published by Patterson et al in 2022. Additionally, there is inhibition of DNA repair, contamination with SV-40 oncogene promoters, as additional mechanisms to explain the occurrence or acceleration of cancer in mRNA vaccine recipients.
We can only take case by case and examine the evidence. Kyriakopoulos et al describe a single case of a fatal basaloid craniofacial cancer that occurred within 5 months of vaccination. I will let you read the report and draw your own conclusions on causality and generalization to other rapidly developing cancers being observed after ill-fated COVID-19 vaccination.
A new report claims that Bob Iger, CEO of the woke Walt Disney Company, does not see the culture war issues that have increasingly been consuming the country as healthy for the company’s business, and their bottom line, and he wants to “quiet the noise.”
Bounding Into Comics reports that Laura Martin, a Needham financial analyst who attended a recent investor event at Walt Disney World, provided their outlet with a report in which she explains that Iger “believes ‘content should be entertaining, not issues-focused.'” She continues that “Iger’s ‘key goal’ is to ‘Quiet the Noise’ because culture wars are not healthy for [Disney’s] business.”
The doctor who oversees the medical care for all 535 members of Congress is facing new scrutiny after he essentially gave Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell positive updates on his health.
The criticism of Dr. Brian Monahan comes after he essentially gave the Kentucky Republican passing health grades after McConnell had two back-to-back “freezing” episodes, one during his weekly press conference in Washington, D.C., last month and the other at an event in his home state shortly afterward.
Monahan’s rosy diagnoses “have drawn scrutiny and contradicted other doctors’ reported impressions of the top Republican’s condition,” Axios reported last week.
“Monahan’s role as a medical doctor for Congress has gained more attention as McConnell has remained committed to staying in office following multiple health episodes this year,” the report continued.
Monahan, a Navy doctor who has served as the congressional physician for 15 years, is also responsible for taking care of Supreme Court justices, staff members, and even tourists, The New York Times reported.
The United States gross national debt just exceeded $33 trillion on Friday, September 15, three months after the federal government's debt eclipsed $32 trillion in June. Additionally, the budget deficit is on track to reach $2 trillion in the current fiscal year. As per financial experts, Americans seemed to have become desensitized to these figures because they do not have any choice as this has become the new normal in Washington.
San Francisco is now experiencing around three overdose deaths due to fentanyl per day – a crisis that the city's Public Health Director Dr. Grant Colfax called a "distressing … tragedy unfolding every day."
Fox Business’ Edward Lawrence cornered White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during Thursday’s briefing, challenging her directly on the record numbers of illegal immigrants who continue to flood the southern border.
Ukraine has received billions of dollars in aid from the United States to help with its war with Russia. Despite this, Democrats in Congress want to send even more to the war-torn country. And they are willing to do so even if it means a government shutdown in this country.
It’s a fiscally irresponsible move and detrimental to the U.S., and it’s precisely why Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) declared he would not support any more aid to Ukraine.
“I rise to put the leadership of the House, the Senate, and the president of the United States on notice. I will not consent to any expedited passage of any spending bill that provides any more American aid to Ukraine,” Paul said in a press release from Sept. 20. “It’s as if no one has noticed that we have no extra money to send to Ukraine. Our deficit this year will exceed $1.5 trillion.”
Paul is correct and should be applauded for his statements. What has happened in Ukraine is tragic, and innocent people are suffering because of the tyrannical whims of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Nevertheless, it is not the nation’s responsibility to fund the war in Ukraine. Politicians in this country have a duty to do what’s best for the public, not Ukrainians.
“As elected officials, we have an obligation to pursue a foreign policy that advances the security and prosperity of our country. Funneling billions of dollars that have to be borrowed into the meat grinder of eastern Ukraine does neither,” Paul’s press release read. “The longer this conflict continues, the greater the risk that miscalculation or purposeful escalation draws the United States into direct conflict with Russia.”
Soviet-born Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) laid into Attorney General Merrick Garland during a Wednesday hearing on Capitol Hill, saying American citizens were living in fear that their own Justice Department might target them for prosecution.
A Fairfield father says that a federally funded health clinic operating within Lawrence High School provided his minor daughter with a baggy of prescription anti-depressants without his knowledge or consent.
When the girl’s father, Eric Sack, discovered the baggy of pills over the weekend, his daughter told him that it was provided to her by the Bulldog Health Center, a School Based Health Center (SBHC) at Lawrence High School.
Sack saw the the pills as an infringement on his parental rights, but he was also concerned that the school’s clinic sent unlabeled drugs with no child-resistant container into his home, where his two other younger children also live.
President Biden's 'stupid' policies are allowing Chinese spies to use the southern border to gain entry into the U.S. and pose a long-term threat to national security, warns a top Republican.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., told DailyMail.com that there has been a 'massive increase' of Chinese nationals tied to the People's Liberation Army (PLA) that have gained access to the U.S. by crossing over the border.
And there have been over 17,800 Chinese nationals released into the U.S. this year alone, he claimed.
Green called the 'stupidity' of the Biden administration's border policies currently in place 'mind-blowing' because now Chinese spies could act as 'saboteurs' in the same manner Russian military men established residency in Ukraine before the invasion.
'Look, the Russians did just that. They infiltrated migration. Middle aged military men, you know, go into Ukraine, established residency, and then they were the saboteurs during the invasion.'
Today is a historic turning point in the Russian-Ukrainian War. Future historians will record September 21, 2023 as the day when Ukrainian President Zelensky lost the war with Russia. The tide has shifted in Russia’s favor. World leaders are growing weary of Mr. Zelensky’s tactics, begging, and publicity stunts. We will see the war move to negotiating tables this fall unless Joe Biden does something very foolish, but I don’t think America’s ruling class will allow him to do it. Russia has won the war and Poland has won Ukrainian land. It will take many months, possibly a year, for these things to be worked out and settled, but we will look back to this day as the date when Zelensky lost the war.
