Thought for the day
"Silence, they say, is the voice of complicity. But silence is impossible. Silence screams. Silence is a message, just as doing nothing is an act. Let who you are ring out & resonate in every word & every deed. Yes, become who you are. There's no sidestepping your own being or your own responsibility. What you do is who you are. You are your own comeuppance. You become your own message. You are the message." -- Leonard Peltier

Maitland Jones Jr., 84, had 82 of his 350 organic chemistry students sign the petition citing Jones' teaching methods and course outline as reasons for their poor grades.
'We are very concerned about our scores, and find that they are not an accurate reflection of the time and effort put into this class,' the petition said, according to a New York Times report.

Earlier today business magnate and investor Elon Musk posted a poll on his Twitter page about the end-game in the Russia-Ukrainian War.
Addressing the National Institutes of Health, Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania (CHOP) Gender Clinic co-founder Naida Dowshen revealed that she recruited research subjects from a youth homeless shelter.
"We recruited folks from a variety of places across the city of Philadelphia, in our own HIV clinic and gender clinic as well as at Covenant House and in some other community-based organizations and aid services organizations that serve young trans women in Philadelphia," said Dowshen, noting that the group also tried to recruit people through social media.
World War III Is Here!
Hegemon USA is at war on Russia.
So far, it’s largely by Ukrainian proxies, their Pentagon and CIA handlers.
It’s also by direct US involvement with its forces on the ground in Ukraine and occupied parts of Donetsk.
They’re operating HIMARS and other sophisticated weapons, ones shipped by the Pentagon and CIA to Kiev while instructing Ukrainian proxies on their use.
At no time since WW II ended was the ominous risk of another global war as likely as now, what may have already begun.
Of greatest concern is possible, maybe likely, use of nukes.
If occurs, the empire of lies will launch them preemptively.
India's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) may have finally reached the end of its operations after eight years spent orbiting the Red Planet.
Ground stations operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have lost communication with the spacecraft. The precise cause isn't yet clear; the orbiter may have run out of propellant, MOM's battery may drained beyond the safe operating limit, or an automated maneuver may have cut communications, according to media reports.
Having operated at Mars for eight years, MOM — also called Mangalyaan — has far exceeded its expected mission life of just six to 10 months. The craft was launched in November 2013 and entered orbit around Mars in September 2014.
Gas prices hit a record high in Los Angeles County of $6.466 per gallon on Monday morning, soaring past the previous record set during the nationwide price surge this past spring.
Local ABC affiliate KABC-7 reported:
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose seven-tenths of a cent to a record $6.466 Monday, topping the previous high of $6.462 set June 14.
The average price has risen 31 consecutive days, increasing $1.22, including 1 cent Sunday and 15.3 cents Thursday, the largest daily increase since the record 19.2-cent hike on Oct. 5, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The streak of increases follows a run of 78 decreases in 80 days totaling $1.216 that began June 15, one day after the average price rose to a record $6.462.
The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a lawsuit from gun rights groups to challenge a ban on bump stocks.
“The decision not to hear the two related cases, a blow for gun rights activists, leaves the ban in place. The conservative-majority court issued a major ruling in June that expanded gun rights, although the legal issues in the bump stock cases were different,” NBC News reported.
“The ban, implemented by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, went into effect in 2019 after the Supreme Court declined to block it. Since then, the already conservative court has tilted further to the right, with conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a Trump appointee, replacing liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died in 2020,” the outlet added.
Judicial Watch on Thursday announced a suit against the California secretary of state for allegedly pushing social media giant YouTube to censor a video on election integrity that the group published.
The suit alleges that the California Office of Elections Cybersecurity (OEC), which Secretary of State Shirley Weber oversees, caused YouTube to remove the video. Judicial Watch contends that, in so doing, the state violated the group's First Amendment rights.
On Sept. 20, 2022 Judicial Watch posted a video featuring group President Tom Fitton discussing the vote-by-mail process and highlighting security risks and other complications in voting systems, the suit noted.
The video, titled "**ELECTION INTEGRITY CRISIS** Dirty Voter Rolls, Ballot Harvesting & Mail-in-Voting Risks!" was removed on Sept. 25, 2022.
The suit purports to reveal communications between OEC Social Media Coordinator Akilah Jones and Google/YouTube representative Andrea Holtermann in which the California state employee reports the Judicial Watch video and Holtermann confirms its removal from the platform.
As the record-breaking Fiscal Year 2022 for migrant apprehensions along the southwest border ended last week, a subset of those with criminal convictions also rose significantly compared to prior years. The U.S. Government Accountability Office conducted a study, requested by House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik and House Foreign Affairs Ranking Member Michael McCaul, which found that U.S. government agencies sent more than $28 million taxpayers dollars to Chinese entities for research and development between 2015 and 2021.
The study came after Stefanik, R-N.Y., and McCaul, R-Texas, in January 2021, requested the GAO undertake a study to assess the extent of funding provided across the U.S. government for research programs with entities in China or with entities controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.
According to the report released last Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Defense and the National Institutes of Health provided research funds "directly to Chinese entities."

former Pentagon advisor says the most likely culprits behind the Nord Stream pipeline blasts are the United States and Britain, and that the attack was carried out to prevent Germany from bailing on the war in Ukraine.
Retired US Army colonel Douglas Macgregor made the comments during an appearance on the Judging Freedom podcast.
Macgregor said a process of elimination rules out Germany, because they are dependent on Nord Stream for their energy security, while it also served no benefit for Russia to have sabotaged its own infrastructure.
“Would the Russians destroy their own pipeline? 40 percent of Russian gross national product or gross domestic product consists of foreign currency that comes into the country to purchase natural gas, oil, coal and so forth. So the Russians did not do this. The notion that they did I think is absurd,” Macgregor said.
Former Fox News host Chris Wallace’s CNN debut went over like a lead balloon. Wallace’s new show, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” flopped, attracting fewer than 44,000 viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic — 64% lower than CNN’s average for the 7:00 PM ET time slot.
Ratings figures by Nielsen Media Research demonstrate a crushing opening for Wallace. In addition to missing the key demographic, Niesel reports that overall viewership was down 29 percent compared to the average at 401,000 viewers.
Former congressman Trey Gowdy’s popular Fox program, “Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,” debut numbers crushed Wallace’s. Premiering in June 2021, Gowdy’s show earned 1.3 million views with 78,000 in the key 25-54 demographic — almost double Wallace’s debut.
The head of the North American Treaty Organization (NATO) has formally blamed damage done to a pair of Russian-owned natural gas pipelines on “sabotage,” though an increasing number of analysts believe that the organization’s most powerful member — the United States — was responsible.
The People's Bank of China has told major state-run banks to prepare to shed dollar holdings while snapping up offshore yuan, which has continued to fall despite prior interventions, sources told Reuters.
The scale of this latest effort to prop up the yuan will be big and could provide a floor to the Chinese currency, according to the report.
The amount of dollars to be sold hasn't been decided yet, but Reuters said it will primarily involve the state banks' currency reserves. Their offshore branches, including those based in Hong Kong, New York and London, were ordered to review offshore yuan holdings and check to see that dollar reserves are ready.
