Anti-Israel protestors across US college campuses have shaken the nation over the last weeks, systemically setting up illegal encampments and sparking questions about the money behind the demonstrations.

Organized encampments have appeared across the country's most respected universities after first showing up at Columbia in New York City. Violent clashes between protesters and police have followed at various schools including UCLA and the University of Texas at Austin.

Many have pointed fingers at a company called Crowds on Demand, which provides paid protesters as a service, accusing it of hiring left-wing agitators to manufacture the movement.

But in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, CEO Adam Swart denied that his company has any involvement with the protests, and has actually denied requests from both sides.

Scores of pro-Palestine encampments are being erected at universities across the country as American campuses are crippled by violent clashes at encampments of students expressing solidarity with Gaza.

Newcastle University was the latest to attract crowds pitching tents around university buildings and hoisting Palestinian flags in protest of the ruinous war in the Levant.

Leeds students also announced plans to camp 'indefinitely' outside their student union, occupying land opposite the building and pledging to remain until the university, in their view, is 'no longer complicit in the oppression of the Palestinian people'.

In Bristol, hand-painted banners were erected between tents, emblazoned with messages of defiance as students lobbied their university to cut ties with arms companies and back calls for a ceasefire as the war rages on.

Riot cops supported by busloads of reinforcements have smashed through barricades at UCLA's Gaza encampment after a smaller group of police was forced to retreat by pro-Palestine protesters.

LAPD officers who had been trying to hold a skirmish line dispersed earlier as they were pushed back by a wave of protesters, who far outnumbered police and were holding umbrellas and makeshift shields.

Soon after, hundreds of CHP officers were bussed to the campus as backup, cramming into a small walkway as they again attempted to breach the wall of people trying to prevent them from entering the encampment.

Hundreds of protesters, many brandishing umbrellas, shields and wearing helmets, continued to resist the police advance into the quad area on the west side of Royce Hall, attempting to push them back as they had done before.

As we gaze into the future of the F-35 fifth-generation fighter, we discover that the expected upgrade package, referred to as Technology Refresh 3 [TR-3], continues to undergo delays. What was initially planned for a 2023 release has already been delayed by a year. This slowdown in implementing innovations poses a significant obstacle to progress.

Amid rising controversies surrounding the F-35 fifth generation fighter program, a House Armed Services Committee hearing has seen particularly significant criticisms raised against it. At the centre of discussions has been a recent Government Accountability Office audit finding that projected sustainment costs for the program had risen by 44 percent since 2018, with these rising from $1.1 trillion in 2018 to $1.58 trillion in 2023 across the fleet’s lifetime. This was on top of the planned future spending of $2 trillion acquiring 1,800 additional airframes. The report further stressed that the fighter’s particularly poor "full mission capable rate,” which is totally in a league of its own within the fleet alongside the even more problematic F-22 as by far the poorest. The report highlighted that the F-35B variant’s fully mission capable rate that year was particularly poor even among other F-35s at just 14.9 percent, with this representing the most expensive and complex variant. Very poor availability rates have been at the centre of lawmakers’ criticisms in the past, as the newly built aircraft were expected to have far better rates and less maintenance issues than worn out Cold War era F-15 and F-16 airframes many of which have served for over three decades.

US officials may have sent taxpayer money to fund risky research in a Chinese lab known to be carrying out bioweapon research.

Disgraced researcher Dr Peter Daszak suggested to a Congressional subcommittee that the intelligence community was aware of the coronavirus experiments carried out at the Wuhan Institute of Virology years before the pandemic - which many fear may have started the outbreak.

The government sent money to the Chinese facility despite concerns that the WIV was being by the Chinese government to manufacture bioweapons, according to Dr Daszak's testimony.

Further, the researcher said the WIV is astonishingly still in possession of 15,000 samples of other coronaviruses that may belong to the US government through past taxpayer-funded research.

Dr Daszak told the subcommittee: 'To the last of my knowledge, [samples] were in the freezers in Wuhan - over 15,000 of them.'

JP Morgan's CEO has come under fire for claiming average Americans are in 'pretty good shape' financially, despite soaring inflation and stagnant interest rates crippling household budgets.

Jamie Dimon was blasted as 'out of touch' for the comments, made during an interview on the Wall Street Journal's podcast, The Journal.

Dimon, who is estimated to be worth around $2.1 billion according to Forbes, stated that consumers 'still have excess money from COVID'.

'The consumer's in pretty good shape right now,' Dimon told interviewer Emma Tucker.

But his remarks were slammed online, including by one furious TikToker left in disbelief, after the head of the US' largest bank claimed Americans are 'still spending down' funds handed out during the pandemic.

Can you feel it too?  Over the past few weeks, I have heard from so many readers that are deeply troubled about economic conditions where they live.  In some cases, sales are way down.  In other cases, it seems almost impossible to find a decent job.  It is almost as if a tremendous chill descended upon the U.S. economy as the second quarter of 2024 began.  Yes, economic conditions have certainly not been good for a few years, but it appears that an absolutely enormous economic shift of historic proportions is now taking place right in front of our eyes.  Other than the early stages of the pandemic, we haven’t seen anything like this since 2008 and 2009.

Despite opposition from 70 Democrats and 21 Republicans, the House passed a bill to police anti-Semitism on college campuses on Wednesday.

Supporters say it is needed to clamp down on such incidents amid a sea of anti-Israel protests at universities while opponents say it could 'chill' free speech.

The bill that passed 320-91 would require the Education Department to enforce federal anti-discrimination laws by using the definition of anti-Semitism defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA).

Rep. Jerry Nadler a Jewish Democrat from New York, warned that the bill 'threatens to chill constitutionally protected speech.'

George Alan Kelly, the Arizona rancher who became the face of the border crisis after he was charged with shooting a migrant dead on his land, says he feels vindicated after charges were dropped.

Kelly, 75, was charged with the killing of Gabriel Cuen-Buitimea, a Mexican national found dead on Kelly's sprawling ranch in January 2023

He insists he never shot Cuen-Buitimea, instead only firing a warning shot to scare away groups of migrants who regularly crossed through his land.

Last week, a jury failed to reach a verdict after one hold-out juror refused to acquit and on Monday, prosecutors announced they would not seek a new trial.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for him and other Israeli leaders over the genocidal campaign in Gaza, it would be an “antisemitic hate crime.”

Reports first surfaced over the weekend that the ICC might issue arrest warrants for Israeli leadership. “If this does happen, it will be an indelible stain on humanity. It would be an unprecedented antisemitic hate crime that would add fuel to the antisemitic incitement that is already raging in the world,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu added that other world leaders should come out against the ICC’s investigation of Israel. “Israel expects the leaders of the free world to come out strongly against this scandalous step, a step that will harm the self-defense not only of the State of Israel, but of all democracies,” he said.

Unnamed officials said the floating pier and causeway that Washington hopes to use to bring aid into Gaza could be completed by Friday with aid deliveries beginning Saturday. The development comes as the cost of the pier has nearly doubled, and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin admitted that the operations will put US soldiers in danger.

One US and European official told POLITICO the pier could be operational by the weekend. The pier and causeway constructed by US troops are designed to bring some aid to the starving people of Gaza. The famine in Gaza has been intentionally provoked by Tel Aviv, with Washington’s full-throated support.

The Pentagon’s plan to deliver aid into Gaza by sea calls for constructing a floating pier and causeway attached to the shore. The aid will be delivered to the pier before being placed on small boats to bring to the causeway. From there, the UN will deliver the aid with Israeli forces proving security.

The House on Wednesday overwhelmingly passed a bill that conflates criticism of the modern state of Israel with antisemitism and will mandate that definition be used by the Department of Education when enforcing federal anti-discrimination laws.

The bill could be used to crack down on pro-Palestine protesters at college campuses across the country, who have been falsely labeled “antisemitic” despite Jewish students participating in the protests.

The legislation adopts the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which lists “drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis” as an example of antisemitism.

The Israeli government has blocked the construction of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, either by providing small plots not fit for purpose or by directing displaced Palestinians to settle in designated areas, two regional sources familiar with the issue told Middle East Eye.

Several countries have attempted to deploy medical units and field hospitals to Egypt and the city of Rafah in southern Gaza since November to provide aid to the Palestinian casualties of Israel’s offensive.

More than 77,000 Palestinians have been wounded and over 34,000 killed by Israeli attacks in seven months of war. Around 1.7 million of Gaza’s 2.2 million Palestinians have been displaced by the conflict, most of them to Rafah.

The bodies of over 300 people were discovered in a mass grave at the Nasser medical complex in Khan Younis, a Gaza city besieged by Israeli forces. The discovery of these Palestinian bodies, many of which were reportedly bound and stripped, is more evidence of “plausible” genocide committed by Israel during its bombardment of Gaza. Over 34,000 Palestinians have died thus far, with more than two-thirds of the casualties being women and children (Al Jazeera, 4/21/24).

Yet this discovery prompted few US news headlines, despite outlets like the Guardian (4/23/24), Haaretz (4/23/24) and Reuters (4/23/24) covering the story. Instead, headlines relating to Palestine have predominantly focused on protests happening at university campuses across the country—an important story, but not one that ought to drown out coverage of the atrocities students are protesting against.

On Tuesday night the NYPD arrested 119 Palestine protesters at Columbia University while clearing out a university building that had been occupied by students protesting Israel’s war on Gaza. In addition, 163 protesters were arrested at the City University of New York (CUNY) in what appeared to be a coordinated attack by the city government on student protest encampments.

Hundreds of cops showed up at Columbia last night, and many entered the second floor of Columbia’s Hamilton Hall through an extendable ramp connected to a massive police vehicle and used flash bangs to disorient the protesters.

“TO BE CLEAR, COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY HAS CALLED THE COPS ONTO ITS OWN STUDENTS FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TWO WEEKS, ON THE 56TH ANNIVERSARY OF WHEN THEY LAST CALLED THE POLICE ONTO CAMPUS TO ARREST OVER 700 PROTESTING THE VIETNAM WAR & HARLEM GENTRIFICATION ON APRIL 30TH, 1968,” tweeted Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine.

Violence erupted at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) late on Tuesday when a group of pro-Israel supporters attacked pro-Palestinian students with sticks and poles, and attempted to destroy their makeshift student encampment.

The violence erupted at around 22:50 local time when the pro-Israel supporters arrived at the encampment and launched fireworks at the pro-Palestine protesters and deployed what appeared to be bear spray, local TV station KTLA reported.

Local media showed the pro-Palestine students covering themselves with umbrellas from the spray. According to KTLA, at least one person was taken away by ambulance for treatment.

Student protestors at the University of Southern California, not a place usually known for its campus activism, have thrown the school into crisis. Administrators cancelled the commencement speech of their Muslim, Pro-Palestinian valedictorian after a pressure campaign from Zionists threatening the speaker. They then called LAPD onto campus to brutally arrest 93 students protesting Israel’s genocide in Gaza. And now, administrators have abruptly canceled the universities’ 65,000-attendee “main-stage” commencement event, and other commencement speakers have launched a boycott.

The key administrators who made these decisions are facing calls from their own faculty to resign. Among them is Erroll Southers, the university’s “Associate Senior Vice President of Safety and Risk Assurance”, who oversees USC’s campus police and collaboration with LAPD. The L.A. Times notes that not only was Southers involved in the decision to silence Asna Tabassum but that the university has “referred questions about security” to him.

The FBI took over a 2020 probe into voter registration fraud that began in Michigan but has denied a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the investigation, citing an exemption in that law regarding ongoing investigations.

According to the dozens of pages of police reports from the Muskegon Police Department and Michigan State Police, a firm called GBI Strategies was under scrutiny as an organization central to alleged voter registration fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The matter was initially investigated by city and state authorities before the FBI took over.

Contacts between local law enforcement and the FBI continued into 2022 but there is no evidence of what happened after that in the memos obtained by Just the News through requests made under Michigan's own Freedom of Information Act.

Powell's dismissal of stagflation contradicts recent economic indicators, including a sharp GDP growth downgrade to 1.6% and consecutive months of surging PCE inflation.
